At the moment it's pre-season testing and they are in Bahrain as that is where the first race happens

Is anyone watching the preseason testing at the moment?

Anyone follow the WTF1 personnel change over the past few weeks (social media channel) and that Tommy & Matt have set up P1 with just Matt & Tommy as co-owners?

I'm really looking forward to seeing what progress the other teams have been able to make since RBR had their wind tunnel time reduced due to their overspend in 2022 (that was their punishment for doing that).

I haven't re-suscribed to Now sports yet, normally I would have had an email with an offer from them, but nothing this year. It's very expensive without one :(.

Pre-season testing never really tells us anything so I'm hopeful the other teams have made progress. Though frankly Ferrari should have done a lot better last year, if only they didn't constantly shoot themselves in the foot.

Absolute massive Checco fan too, and moving to RBR was the right move and a fab opportunity. But of course he's wingman to MV now, let's hope not to the ultimate detriment of his own success.

Ooh it's DTS day! Haven't seen any testing yet as I've not been around but I'll be hogging the F1 channel over the weekend.

Not sure who I'm rooting for really; Sainz and LeClerc maybe although not really arsed about Ferrari. Checo is too boring and Max clearly an arse. Let's see how Bahrain unfolds!

Checking in, just watched the first 2 episodes of DTS. Makes me excited for the new season, hope it's not a RBR boreathon again.

If you are a NowTV customer, log into your account and click on "offers". The only offer I had in mine a few days ago was the cinema package for £4.99.

Sometimes they email you with the offer as well, sometimes they don't bother so if you don't log in you don't know about it.

Yes I got my Now TV code thank goodness. Watched episode 1 of DTS last night too.
Loved the Binotto and Steiner mini road trip bits.

I'm hoping it's an eighth title for Lewis, I'm still raging about Abu Dhabi. 😡I may be for a long time yet!

Just a close season though would be great, last year ended up very boring after a promising start.

It's not looking great after testing with the Red Bulls seemingly way ahead, let's hope it's not a true reflection of the pace.

@Sulusu - I'm frustrated too about AD21. It could have been any team in the lead and any team in second place with fresher tyres. The thing about that race is that the rule book was thrown out of the window and it impacted the championship as a result.
That's what frustrates me.
The result stands though and there's nothing that can be done about it.

The weather looks great in Bahrain so I'm really looking forward to seeing what the cars can do this season. I love what Duracell has done with their sponsorship of the Williams on the air vent directly above the cockpit. Looks like one of their batteries on it's side. Very nicely done!

Currently binging DTS to catch up and got my Now package done.
I just wish you could pay for just the F1 channel. I don't bother with the rest.

I'd be quite happy if DTS was made with minimal input from Whinger Spice.
His gloating in E2 is unpleasant.
He is so smug even though the win in AD in 2021 that gave them the Drivers Championship has the biggest asterisk beside it which brings you to a footnote saying "won under dubious circumstances, so much so that the Race Director lost his job over it".
Doesn't help knowing that in 2022, their second win also comes with another
asterisk beside it (unlike the ones that Seb won for the team I might add) which will lead to another footnote saying "Won under dubious circumstances where the team was found to have breached the budget cap and there is no way of knowing if that affected development on parts in the car or aero capabilities because they overspent on catering.
How the other teams put up with him and Hemut in the pit lane is beyond me. I mean other teams have had Team Principles come and go over the past 20 years, yet Christian is still there.

His cold dead shark eyes are something to behold. I love how he gives no fucks but is simultaneously eaten up by the vast amount of fucks he gives about absolutely everything.

His bromance with Pierre will be missed. They just got the job done and got on so well.

Finally finished Drive to Survive last night. I think it's getting worse every year. This year there was nothing on Aston Martin, Alfa Romeo and Williams. Vettel leaving was only touched upon briefly. I'm guessing Seb didn't want to have much to do with Netflix maybe. If felt like there should have been 12 episodes not 10.

I thought Pierre Gasly in particular impressed this season, you can see how sweet he was with Yuki. Lando Norris the opposite I'm afraid. Few things in the past two seasons have given a less than great impression of Lando as a person. But we know how Netflix like to edit things! So maybe they are skewing our impressions there.

Horner was his usual toxic self.

I'm resubbed to Now TV today so all ready to watch practice.

One intersting bit of gossip post testing seems to be around Lando. He is apparently very unhappy with the Mclaren, and word is Red Bull are looking at his contract with McLaren. I think Checo is going to be under immense pressure to perform early on in the season, not only because Daniel is their sub, but it looks like Red Bull are after Lando to join Max.

Of course it's just rumours but there often seems to be a basis for rumours in F1 that end up being true.
