After 15 years of marriage he has finally let me have a go.

Every so often the wax builds up. Normally it gets bad enough for him to be practically deaf in one ear - and only then will he finally use the olive oil and then see the nurse 10 days later for syringing. He has never let me accompany him to the nurse .

This time....he let me not only look....but.....help.....

It was amazing.

We got a special syringe-y thing from Amazon. Olive oil for a few days and then I set to it.

He is totally grossed out by the whole thing.

He allowed me to take photos of the results.

He knows I want to share it with my fellow sporners.

He thinks we are all utterly grim.

Oogle, you can do it yourself. Although it is a bit "drippy". Just lean over the bathroom sink with the plug in so you can see the results

Not that I will tell DH that, in case he decides not to involve me again.

He has just told my his vastly improved hearing from this now unblocked ear has made him realise the other ear is muffled and therefore "Would I mind having a go at the other one later please?"

Baker weekly! Weekly. Not fair. I have to wait first of all 15 years and then another 10 months.

He has very waxy ears so they need doing weekly otherwise the wax starts to show if you stand behind him.

Ds who is 6 months has developed the same problem but obviously I only clean on the outside of his ears
