....tapeworm or anything horrendous please!

Have had slightly infected stitches from episiotomy (two weeks ago) and fanjo has been v sore. Was on antibiotics for a week which cleared things up but yesterday (couple of days after finishing tablets) I had more bleeding, soreness and this critter thing when I wiped.

I could have sworn it moved when I first saw it but that might have been my sleep deprived mind getting all freaked out.

Please put my mind at rest!

I loved this from the beginning. You've made my day MrsB. It's been a great worm thread, even if it's a braided suture, but still much better than being a threadworm Grin. Flowers

The power of mumsnet saves the day again!

Tune in next time folks when the hivemind solves another pesky case...

I was reading Dr Seuss to my ds tonight when I caught sight of this little fella and thought of you OP. It was all I could do not to burst out laughing Grin

So good I posted it twice!

Tiggeryoubastard · 14/09/2016 20:44

pinkerbella so it wasn't a worm - it was the kindly janitor uncle? HOW did he get up there?

MrsBlimey · 14/09/2016 20:45

Oh Walrus that's hilarious! The sight of that hook made me wince!

Oops, sorry I momentarily forgot about your epi. Blush I hope it all heals up well.

MrsBlimey · 14/09/2016 20:50

Actually, Walrus, the little worm chap in your picture looks quite chilled out even though his fate seems sealed. Maybe he's been doing some yoga.

OP posts:
WalrusGumboot · 14/09/2016 20:52

Oh yes! You have a good point there Grin

MrsBlimey · 14/09/2016 20:55

Walrus - sorry X post. No worries - epi seems to have settled well down now but thanks anyway. Smile

MrsBlimey · 14/09/2016 20:57

Walrus - did you have to explain to your DS why you burst out laughing?!

OP posts:
WalrusGumboot · 14/09/2016 20:59

No, he knows how weird I am and thinks nothing of it Wink

Glad you're ok now.

Fatmanbuttsam · 14/09/2016 21:02

Oh Mrs B, I've enjoyed this thread (sorry) from the beginning. Many years ago, when dinosaurs roamed the earth and mobile phones were bricks that didn't take pictures my sister and I removed my c-section stitches rather than waiting over a bank holiday weekend for a doctors appointment. They were itching and pulling like mad and driving me bonkers. I would almost have another just so I could take stitches out again.Smile

RustyPaperclip · 14/09/2016 21:06

Echoing the call for Lweji, the queen of worms. If only we could summon her to your thread OP, she has all the worm answers Grin

MrsBlimey · 14/09/2016 21:08

Oh Fatman what a great story (and such tremendous bravery!). Was it tricky? Did they ooze at all?

Have thoroughly enjoyed this thread OP; major kudos to you for keeping us thrilled and on the edge of our seats with this tense drama while recovering from birth even the word 'episiotomy' makes me wince and handling a newborn. The most selfless of acts for your fellow spornees! Heal well and here's some Brew and Cake xx

Rusty - she and her worm colleague expert have been....and gone, having pronounced my discovery not at all worm like.

LuluJakey1 · 14/09/2016 21:11

But how can the stitches be coming out of your bum?

mineofuselessinformation · 14/09/2016 21:42

I still think first pic was a worm, but second is a stitch. #teamworm

mineofuselessinformation · 14/09/2016 21:48

Fatman, I too have removed stitches on a couple of occasions when they got very tight and were really annoying! A clean pair of nail scissors and a pair of tweezers did the job nicely....

RustyPaperclip · 14/09/2016 23:39

Ah dammit, the app wasn't loading all the posts so just realised I was way behind everyone else.. Just caught up. Glad you are are not worm infested though!
