We tried the Eucerin Aquaphor Soothing Skin Balm and we love it
My daughter insist to apply it by herself,
It's so easy to use it
The product calms the skin so fast and especially the dry patches
Best part - super lightweight formula, that absorbs quickly into the skin and is fragrance free

BristolGymMom · 05/06/2025 17:07

Tested: Eucerin Sun Kids Sensitive Protect Gel-Cream SPF50+
Children DD(10), DS(8).
DD loved the light scent and claimed it was easily absorbed.
DS liked that it didn't irritate his skin and went on easily.
I liked the packaging, good quality and the cream felt thicker than my normal brand but didn't take longer to rub in. Protected the children all day (and into after school club) on a sunny day.
Depending on price, I would definitely recommend this product to parents of children with sensitive skin (or sensitive to smells).

We used the Atocontrol balm

  • What did you and your child think of the texture, scent and packaging of the product?
My daughter like the texture, thick enough that it didn't run so was easy for her to apply herself. The product doesn't have any noticeable scent which we really liked. The product is nicely packaged although my daughter prefers lotion in a bottle with a pump dispenser as she finds it easier to manage alone.
  • How easy was the product to apply?
Very easy, it was nice and thick and absorbed fast
  • Did the product help or soothe your child’s dry or sensitive skin?
it cleared up dry patches very quickly. It worked so well we have all been using it
  • How would you describe the product you tried to a parent who hasn’t used it before? Would you recommend it?
Very thick good quality lotion, easy for children to apply and fast to absorb. There is no strong smell, works brilliantly on dry skin. We would definitely recommend

The Eucerin Sun Kids Sensitive Protect Gel-Cream SPF50+ was easy to apply and suitable for my daughters skin
Slight fragrance but not overpowering and everything you need to know is on the packaging and is very informative

latobatele · 05/06/2025 17:16

My daughter tried the Eucerin SPF sunscreen
As my daughter is black I was quite surprised how well it worked. When she first used it. It left no residue which was a good sign and we out for a long time in the sun and she did not get any more sunburn which she usually gets without using anything

apd23 · 05/06/2025 17:16

Eucerin Sun Kids Sensitive Protect Gel-Cream SPF50+ / 7 and 2 year olds

  • What did you and your child think of the texture, scent and packaging of the product?

We have been using it since receipt. They thought it applied easily and comfortable, my 2 year old liked the design of the bottle and thought it was a toy. The scent was there but not too overpowering

  • How easy was the product to apply?

Very simple from the squeezy bottle and layered on easily without leaving a greasy feel.

  • Did the product help or soothe your child’s dry or sensitive skin?

Yes, it seemed to make their skin much more natural

  • How would you describe the product you tried to a parent who hasn’t used it before? Would you recommend it?

A superb product to have in your locker for the little ones. Easy to apply and effective. Definitely recommend

ChronicallyCarryingOn · 05/06/2025 17:18

My sons are 2 years old and 4 months old, I used the Atocontrol Balm on both of them.

What did you and your child think of the texture, scent and packaging of the product?
Extremely pleasant, thick and balm like texture. Unscented which I prefer for my DS’s sensitive skin. Packaging pretty unremarkable but does explain the product well and easy to get the balm out of the squeezy tube.

How easy was the product to apply?
Despite seeming like it wouldn’t due to the thick texture, the balm actually does skin into the skin very easily and doesn’t leave your hands feeling sticky.

Did the product help or soothe your child’s dry or sensitive skin?
Despite only testing the balm for a short period, I have genuinely started to see results already on my sons’ eczema patches and will continue to use.

How would you describe the product you tried to a parent who hasn’t used it before? Would you recommend it?
Thick, soothing balm which is perfect for dry and eczema prone skin. I definitely would recommend and would look to repurchase myself.

fififrillyfolle · 05/06/2025 17:18

DD is 7.
We tried Eucerin Sun Kids Sensitive Protect Gel-Cream SPF50+

What did you and your child think of the texture, scent and packaging of the product?
Loved the texture, very light for spf50 and didn't feel greasy. Nice to have something with no strong perfume, especially when applying before school in the morning.
Packaging is fine, as expected for Eucerin. Not sure how easy it will be to get the last bit out of the tube though.

How easy was the product to apply?
Very easy to apply. We also squeezed some into DD's Solar Buddy applicator and it worked well.

Did the product help or soothe your child’s dry or sensitive skin?
It didn't sting her eczema, so that's a plus! But felt a little bit drying vs our usual Altruist cream.

How would you describe the product you tried to a parent who hasn’t used it before? Would you recommend it?
A very lightweight product, lighter than a cream but not as wet/messy as a lotion. Absorbs easily and doesn't look white on the skin. Protected well, from morning to school pickup. Would recommend!

sexyandsweet · 05/06/2025 17:27

I tried the sun sensitive cream with my son aged 8. We thought it was easy to use and apply. It absorbed well. It was good for our dry skin. We would recommend it. It makes us feel safe from the sun and have peace of mind. It is not strong fragrance. Texture is creamy.

lapuf · 05/06/2025 17:31

We tested the spf50+ gel. It’s ideal for school days when they need protection on their face as we tend to have sprays that they don’t like near their eyes!
consistency was pleasant and scent was neutral (in a good way!). There was no irritation on my youngest DD’s face. we would definitely buy again.

Mariola1984 · 05/06/2025 17:40

We were very lucky to get chosen for Eur

YellowRoom · 05/06/2025 17:44

We tried the suncream

What did you and your child think of the texture, scent and packaging of the product?
Fine - not sure the design stands out. Hadn't noticed the smell, so I'd say innofensive. Texture felt normal.
How easy was the product to apply? Good - rubbed in easily. Not greasy.
Did the product help or soothe your child’s dry or sensitive skin? I didn't notice a change from using other sun creams.
How would you describe the product you tried to a parent who hasn’t used it before? Would you recommend it? We usually use Childs Farm and I can't really tell the difference. It was good and did the job but for us, didn't have anything about it that would distinguish it from other children's sun cream. I think I was expecting something different from the gel-cream description.

Mariola1984 · 05/06/2025 17:44

  • What did you and your child think of the texture, scent and packaging of the product? really smooth texture and mild scent. minimum packaging
  • How easy was the product to apply? very easy
  • Did the product help or soothe your child’s dry or sensitive skin? yes definitely
  • How would you describe the product you tried to a parent who hasn’t used it before? Would you recommend it? The SPF cream is easy to be applied and absorb really well.
Reastie · 05/06/2025 17:59
  • What did you and your child think of the texture, scent and packaging of the product?
My son has sensory issues and generally hates having sun cream applied. The light texture to this once on was absolutely great as he didn't feel sweaty underneath it. The packaging was nice and practical and I really liked the scent (it wasn't overpowering but reminded me of summer holidays).
  • How easy was the product to apply?
Super easy. We also decanted some into a roll on type tube as my son prefers to use it himself like this. It rubbed in well.
  • Did the product help or soothe your child’s dry or sensitive skin?
Sun cream can flair up all of our skins (we are a sensitive skin family) but we were all fine with using it and it was a relief to find a suncream that felt gentle to skin.
  • How would you describe the product you tried to a parent who hasn’t used it before? Would you recommend it?
I'd describe it as sensitive skin friendly, easily absorbed, good sun protection and generally does absolutely everything we need in one sun cream. If it was in a roll on packaging tube as well, then we would have absolutely hit the jackpot of perfection for my son.

How easy was the product to apply?
very easy.
Did the product help or soothe your child’s dry or sensitive skin?
yes as it was a thick hydrating product and it didnt irritate my child's sensitive skin (or mine)
How would you describe the product you tried to a parent who hasn’t used it before? Would you recommend it?
Yes it was a thick consistency, much like vaseline , hydrating and gel like and doesn't irritated like other products.
Ps we tested the gel cream stuff in the squeeze tube.

Danlsb · 05/06/2025 19:06

We tested the Actcontrol balm it was easy to apply and absorbed well. Helped sooth smaller patches of dry skin and a prickly heat rash. We like the minimal scent most of all as my child is sensitive to smells. Depending on the price I would recommend it especially for taking away for short breaks as it takes up less space than the pump dispensers.

JustaLittleBitofDust · 05/06/2025 19:10

My three year old daughter and I tried the Eucerin Aquaphor Soothing Skin Balm.

  • What did you and your child think of the texture, scent and packaging of the product?
The texture was really lovely and silky, the packaging felt more aimed towards adults than children though, which I don’t mind
  • How easy was the product to apply?
Squeezy bottles like this are my favourite for this type of product, it went on easily and was easy to rub into skin.
  • Did the product help or soothe your child’s dry or sensitive skin?
It was great for both of our skin but I found it worked exceptionally well on dry feet and hands.
  • How would you describe the product you tried to a parent who hasn’t used it before? Would you recommend it?
I would recommend it as it felt gentle and soothing, ideal for anyone with dry or sensitive skin.
silversplodge · 05/06/2025 19:11

We were given the Aquaphor.
I have 2 kids - 6 years and 10 months.

  • What did you and your child think of the texture, scent and packaging of the product?
It's a nice thick texture which we prefer to more liquid ones, especially for the baby as it is less likely to get in her eyes. The scent is subtle which is also good as I can get headaches otherwise. The packaging was quite plain but I felt that made it look more clinical. I found it a bit confusing as to whether it was OK to use on the baby - it said baby safe but then nowhere said what ages it's ok for.
  • How easy was the product to apply?
Very easy
  • Did the product help or soothe your child’s dry or sensitive skin?
Yes
  • How would you describe the product you tried to a parent who hasn’t used it before? Would you recommend it?
A thick cream that soothes dry skin, would recommend.
sharond101 · 05/06/2025 19:37

I tested Aquaphor,

  • What did you and your child think of the texture, scent and packaging of the product? We both sliked the smooth texture which felt rich, It looked clinical but effective. It didn't smell which appealed to my child.
  • How easy was the product to apply? It glided on easily and absorbed quickly.
  • Did the product help or soothe your child’s dry or sensitive skin? My child liked how smooth their scaly arms felt after applying it.
  • How would you describe the product you tried to a parent who hasn’t used it before? Would you recommend it? This is an all in one cream shich could be used to soothe and to moisturise.
Sunnyday321 · 05/06/2025 20:09
  • What did you and your child think of the texture, scent and packaging of the product?
Everything about it was perfect for our family. It left no white cast , was absorbed really easily with no major rubbing. Didn't really notice a strong scent, which is good in my book.
  • How easy was the product to apply
The product was very easy to apply and absorbed immediately.
  • Did the product help or soothe your child’s dry or sensitive skin?

Yes it was completely fine which is unusual for my son's skin .

  • How would you describe the product you tried to a parent who hasn’t used it before? Would you recommend it?

I Would immediately tell them to try the product as it is so good.

tinyrobot2 · 05/06/2025 20:15

We tried Eucerin Aquaphor Soothing Skin Balm.

i thought the scent was pleasant, not too strong. The texture was smooth but a little too thick and made it tricky to rub in. The packaging was fine.
the product really helped smooth small patches of dry skin, and my children liked it. I think it would be tricky on bigger patches of dry skins.
I would recommend this product to others, for small patches. My children found it soothing and it helped clear up some of the dry skin

LighthouseLass · 05/06/2025 20:15

We used the AtoControl Balm on my child (6) and myself.

What did you and your child think of the texture, scent and packaging of the product?
The packaging was nice, it smelled reassuringly plain (i.e. No scents) and the texture absorbed quickly into my child's skin.

How easy was the product to apply?
Very easy, the tube made it straightforward to get the right amount.

Did the product help or soothe your child’s dry or sensitive skin?
My child has had a patch of eczema on their side for over a year and it keeps returning when we stop using hydrocortisone cream. I was surprised to find this cream almost cleared it up after a few nights of use!

How would you describe the product you tried to a parent who hasn’t used it before? Would you recommend it?

Works well on mild dry skin and eczema. It was also soothing on my more severe dermatitis. Would recommend as a good over the counter treatment.
