The kids loved it! My daughter had some sore skin on her face after a holiday she put some balm on overnight And said it was gone in the morning

Mabiscuit · 10/06/2025 10:12

What did you and your child think of the texture, scent and packaging of the product?
How easy was the product to apply?
It was very easy to apply, didn't sit on skin. It wasn't flaky and absorbed quickly. I liked that it wasn't sticky.

Did the product help or soothe your child’s dry or sensitive skin? My son's skin was very soft after using this.

How would you describe the product you tried to a parent who hasn’t used it before?
Easy to use, lovely texture and smell. It's waterproof so handy for holidays.

Would you recommend it? Yes, definitely. The only thing that would stop me choosing this in a shop would be the stars on the back. I always choose 5 stars.

Eucerin Atocontrol Calming Balm has been a game changer for my sensitive skin. The rich, creamy texture feels indulgent yet absorbs quickly, providing immediate relief from dryness and irritation. I love how it's formulated with natural ingredients, which makes it gentle enough for daily use. After just a few applications, I noticed a significant reduction in redness and discomfort. The balm has a subtle, pleasant scent that adds to the overall experience. It’s become a staple in my skincare routine, especially during colder months. Highly recommend it for anyone dealing with eczema or dry skin!

My son is 10 and we tried the soothing skin balm.
The packaging is basic but does the job and I quite like that it’s not trying to sell itself as a something it isn’t. The scent was fine but the texture was excellent. It wasn’t greasy or horrible to touch and we both liked it.
We have a lot of experience of trying to soothe DS’s skin and this didn’t irritate him. When we tried the product, he wasn’t in the midst of a flare up but I am
not afraid to use it when he does.
I would recommend this to someone who hasn’t used it before, although everyone is different! It’s definitely worth a go.

I have been using the Eucerin Ato Control calming balm. I have used this on a 5 year old, a 14 year old and tried it myself.

  • What did you and your child think of the texture, scent and packaging of the product?
  • The texture was really nice, it was soft and smooth and creamy and it glided onto the skin really easily. This beam is fragrance free and so had no scent to comment on. The packaging is great, it is practical, easy to use and squeeze the product out, it stands up well in th etube, and the lid is easy to open and close. It didn't leak at all and the tube is a good size, there is 200ml of product and so this will last a while.
  • How easy was the product to apply?
  • The product was very easy to apply. It glided smoothly onto the skin, and seemed to melt into the skin straight away, soothing dry skin instantly.
  • Did the product help or soothe your child’s dry or sensitive skin?
  • This product has really helped my child's dry, sensitive skin. It soothes the dry skin straight away and it calmed the red areas quickly, and moisturised them well. It stopped the skin from itching and we had no reactions to the cream. It really helped without being thick and oily and heavy on the skin, which I liked because with it being so lightweight, it felt natural and it was easy to wear clothes without the balm transferring onto the clothing or feeling sticky, and this was important to my child who liked this balm because of this.
  • How would you describe the product you tried to a parent who hasn’t used it before? Would you recommend it?
  • I would recommend this product. I would describe it as a real treat for dry or sensitive skin, a balm that will help straight away and stop the itchy sore feeling that dry skin can bring, and a balm that soaks into the skin well and is so lightweight, you don't know you have it on, its perfect.
I am pleased we have had this opportunity to try this balm, we will continue to use this product and will purchase it in the future, because we like it a lot and it suits our skin types well. Thank you.

the product was brilliant and the packaging and scent were amazing.
  • How easy was the product to apply?

We tried the soothing skin balm. Wow! Absolute game changer.sons skin feels soft and his soar and dry skin is no more when using this product. It's slightly on the thick side but when rubbed together it's easy to apply. I used it on my elbows as since having my 3rd child for some reason i have dry elbows and by the second day of using it the dryness had gone. Will definitely be buying more of this.I can imagine it's great for cracked heels aswell.

Very easy. It glides like lotion, without any white cast.

3) Did the product help or soothe your child’s dry or sensitive skin?
Yes. He has eczema too, and this product did not cause any flare-ups.

  1. How would you describe the product you tried to a parent who hasn’t used it before? Would you recommend it? Definitely. I'd say that it has a high spf, doesn't seem to irritate skin, and it's easy to apply.
MrsMagpie99 · 11/06/2025 07:47

We tried the Aquaphor soothing balm for my 4 and 7 y year old.

The texture was thick and rich but easy to apply, the scent was minimal, and the packaging was as expected for a skin balm.

It definitely soothed my children’s dry itchy patches of skin, and I tried it on a dry sensitive bit of my face and it worked well.

I would describe this a rich balm you apply to small areas to sooth/moisturise, I would recommend definitely.

I tested the Eucerin Sun Kids Sensitive Protect Gel-Cream SPF50+
What did you and your child think of the texture, scent and packaging of the product?
We loved the size and packaging, it had all the information easy to see that I usually look for when buying sun cream. The scent isn't overpowering, the texture is slightly thicker than other sun creams I've used, but once you start rubbing it in it gives great coverage.
How easy was the product to apply?
Very easy to apply. I feel I didn't need to use as much as other sun creams. As it gives great coverage, and soaks in really nicely
Did the product help or soothe your child’s dry or sensitive skin?
Yes, was nice that it wasn't overly heavy like other sun creams can be
How would you describe the product you tried to a parent who hasn’t used it before?
One of the best I've used, so easy to use and doesn't leave your hands feeling sticky.
Would you recommend it?
Yes I would definitely recommend it.

OnTheDrive · 11/06/2025 09:44

We used the Atocontrol balm

The texture was perfect - didn’t leave a sticky residue and soaked in quickly. There was no fragrance which was another positive, as my son has sensory needs and finds anything fragranced upsetting.

It was very nourishing and great on his dry patches of skin, really effective as moisturising without leaving that horrible tacky after-feeling.

We would definitely buy this product again.

LeCigareVolant · 11/06/2025 10:18

We tried the Eucerin Sun Kids Sensitive Protect Gel-Cream SPF50+. We were very happy with this product. It was easy to apply while providing great coverage. The kids were able to apply this themselves where necessary and provided protection during the school day. It has a pleasant scent and appealing packaging.

Lovely texture and easy to apply, easily absorbed. The packaging is easy to use and good quality. I love that’s it factor 50 as it’s quite lightweight and not thick and greasy like others I’ve used.

I would definitely recommend this product to other children as well as adults

Testers, we’d love to hear your thoughts! In your response please share which product you tried, the age of the child who tested, and consider the following questions: my daughter tried this product she is 9 years old

What did you and your child think of the texture, scent and packaging of the product? Brilliant packaging. My daughter loved the texture which was a nice surprise as she has sensory issues which means finding a suncream that she will use is hard . But this was perfect for her.

How easy was the product to apply? Very easy to apply.

Did the product help or soothe your child’s dry or sensitive skin? Yes
How would you describe the product you tried to a parent who hasn’t used it before? This product is great a must buy for summer .
Would you recommend it? Definitely

elrider · 11/06/2025 15:56

We tried the sun cream. 8 years old. By the time we received the product, the nice weather had gone and it's rained in my area every day since so we hadn't actually been able to test it in any sun until today! We tried a patch first during the bad weather and it was fine, then a full application was finally warranted this morning.

What did you and your child think of the texture, scent and packaging of the product?
It's nice and light and has a barely-there pleasant fragrance. We do use clear ones from other brands sometimes and I personally prefer those to a gel-cream mix as they absorb even quicker, but this was still nice and quick.
How easy was the product to apply?
Very easy. I haven't put it in yet as they're all full, but I suspect it will be fine in a Solar Buddy as well.
Did the product help or soothe your child’s dry or sensitive skin?
It seemed slightly moisturising, yes.
How would you describe the product you tried to a parent who hasn’t used it before? Would you recommend it?
Yes, I probably would. It has a 4 star rating and a high factor protection. One thing I don't know yet is whether it will stain white clothes which is always a factor since our school polo shirts and PE tops are white. I try to use sun creams that don't stain.

  • I tried the Eucerin AtoControl Balm For my 2 year old.
  • The scent was nice. Not overpowering. The texture was also pretty good, not greasy. The packaging was ok, a bit ‘chunky’ and not obvious that it’s for kids.
  • It was very easy to apply.
  • The product was very good for my child’s skin as he has dry skin patches and eczema.
  • This is an effective lotion, keeps skin moisturised for a long time and helps tackle dry areas quite well.
Hiits · 11/06/2025 20:47

The balm was cream like but not heavy, it sank into the sink instantly and kept the skin moist without being sticky or heavy. My 4 year old who has eczema said it made her itch less and she didn’t moan when I put it on her, she hates the heavy feel or most balms, creams and oils. I used it on my very dry hand and normally after I use a product, my hands are still dry without being sticky dry patches visible. This balm kept that at bay so they looked moisturised and calmed the itchy hotness I have on them. Great product, I will definitely buy more.

slapmyarseandcallmemary · 11/06/2025 21:00

Tested the kids sensitive protect spf50+ scent was just right. Not overwhelming like other products. Went on so easy and absorbed fast. Soothed sensitive skin (all my kids have sensitive skin).
Would describe as a must have, easy to apply and no fuss sun protection.

My 3 year old also loved the penguin on the packaging!

Wallaroo21 · 12/06/2025 19:43

We tried the Eucerin Aquaphor Soothing Skin Balm and I loved it. Great for the whole family, I used it on my toddlers sore inner arms and to soften up my rough feet before holiday! Super moisturising and no greasy after feeling. Nice plain scent and easy to dispense packaging. I’ll definitely be replacing it once it runs out.

Arielunderthesea · 12/06/2025 19:47

Eucerin Sun Kids Sensitive Protect Gel-Cream SPF50+ is what we tried.

Scent was neutral so not overpowering. Son actually didn't seem to mind me applying this cream.

Applied nice and easy. Non sticky the way others are. Didn't take long to absorb and allow clothes to touch.

The product actually helped with sons eczema also.

Would definitely rebuy once used it all up.
