This thread is for the 10 Mumsnetters who went to the UNIQLO Kidswear launch event on Saturday. Many thanks for going along to the event with your families - we hope you enjoyed it!

Here's what Uniqlo say about the range: "This is the first time UNIQLO has introduced kids wear across the UK business, and sees the cult classics and innovative pieces within the adult collection re-designed (and re-sized) for new born to 12 year olds. This exciting collection will contain items from UNIQLO's key product categories that have been adjusted to fit a kid's lifestyle."

Below are a few feedback questions for you to answer - if you have any more comments, please feel free to add them to your response.

• Overall, what did you and your family think of the UNIQLO Kidswear range? What did you like about it the most? Was there anything you didn't like?

• Of everything you saw and/or tried on from the range, what was your favourite item? And what about your DP/DC?

I like the range online. The website seem easy enough to use. All looked a bit 'Gap' but I like that look and may be slightly cheaper so I'd consider buying.
The clothes looked comfortable and colourful enough without being full of characters (Disney, pepper pig etc which I can't stand).
I'd like to see a section which wasn't gender specific. Clothes boys and girls can wear. Wooly jumpers, trousers, boots and a decent coat all in bright colours you could dress ds and dd in.

I have never used Uniqlo before.

I quite like the new range - Some of the infant leggings are lovely - I like the patterns. Its hard to tell if it would be good value as I have to guess at the quality by looking at the pictures. Agree with ImFineThankYou that it is quite like Gap stuff.

I liked some of the leggings and Hoodies. Not keen on the printed sweatshirts - didnt like the pictures. The plainer stuff is nicer. It is reasonably priced so would consider buying something to test the quality - as I am unfamiliar with Uniqlo.

I'm going too, apparently the restaurants open earlier so hoping that means the main doors are open. Have been informed by Angelie that the shop is by Debenhams so will be going to those doors. And will also be prepared for an hour of eye spy just in case the doors are shut!

I'm going too. I think the Southern Terrace is open so can get in from there I think. It is a bit early in the morning. Are you all bringing the children?

I like all the different types of leggings but I would like to see some more brighter colours available too.

Yes, I like the Parker and the Body Warmer as they are good value and look nice.

I love uniqlo and shop there for me a lot. Love the new kids range. Nice leggings and puffy jackets in good colours. Like the girls dresses too.

I'm bringing my three, youngest is 5 weeks tomorrow and will be his first trip to a shopping centre. Hoping it is not too stressful

I'll be going tomorrow with DD, looking forward to seeing the clothing in store. Just checked out the website and I really like the dresses, some of the tops, the hoodies (which my younger nephew would look great in!) and rainmac. I'd like to see other styles of outerwear, for example a good quality duffle coat. And some cardis.

• Overall, my family and I really liked the range - particularly the quality (me), the comfort (DSs and me - DSs have very sensitive skin and so I need to be very picky about fabrics for them), and designs (DSs - particularly loved the graphic Ts). I was really happy to see all cotton oxford shirts that they could use for their uniforms, and really happy about HeatTech Jr.

The criticisms I have is that the labelling on their clothing is not obvious (you need to measure your child first to determine which size to get) - it would be far easier to have one standard labelling (some had this height number and some had an age range), preferably age range. I also was dissapointed that the Heat Tech undershirts were available for girls in the long sleeved versions, but not for boys. I hope that the boys ones are coming, as this would be fantastic for layering.

Additionally, it would be nice to have unpatterend pants for kids. I wash all their undergarments in very hot water and purchase only white vests and pants to withstand the washing and drying.

It would also be nice to see a bigger range of clothing for boys. I saw some really cute things in the girls' range. The boys range, besides the Ts and a couple of the hoodies, despite the amazing quality, did not have the same element of fun.

• My DSs favourite items were the graphic Ts. I loved the down gilets and coats - can be squished into bags for use if the weather changes during the day.

• I will definitely buy from this range in the future. The quality is fantastic and the price is better than similar quality pieces which I have seen. I will be going back for pyjamas and Heat Tech.

• I am a regular customer of Uniqlo.

• Even though I am a regular customer of Uniqlo, I was not very familiar with their ultra light down range. I will definitely be getting one in the future for me, and will use them as stocking stuffers (yes, they smush down that small) for my parents for Christmas.

• I would definitely recommend the Uniqlo childrens' range to all my friends.

Loved the down jackets and the colourful parkas. A really good price for a quality product. A similar 'puffy' jacket would be closer to £30 in other shops. Loved the leggings too. Great patterns.

Have only ever bought knitwear from Uniqlo for me and DH. Trousers never seemed to sit right on me.

Would love to see some rich deep colours of cord trousers for little boys. Would be perfect for autumn/winter. Also some knitwear/pullovers rather than just more casual tops.

Will certainly add some kids items to my basket next time I shop. A down jacket is a must have.

I really like the Illustrators Project stuff. Interesting and unusual without being too fashiony and good, practical styles for kids. Reasonably priced too. The rest of the boy's range didn't really grab me. I liked the look of the pyjamas until I realised they were poly-cotton

I've bought a couple of things for myself before but found the sizes come up a bit small.

I'd definitely be tempted to buy one of the Illustrator Project long sleeved tees or hoodies for DS, as long as I could see them first to check quality and sizing. Also £3.95 for P&P is a bit steep...

I don't find the range that different from things I'd find in most High Street shops, it's particularly similar to the Little Bird range at Mothercare. I do like the infant body warm vest and the kids down vest.

I would consider some of the outerwear but would price compare and try to get it on offer. I don't know what the quality is like as I've never been to their store, this might make me hesitant to buy.

We liked the range, great colours and good quality. Prices were all pretty reasonable too.
I didn?t like the sizing ? it was very difficult to check out sizes. I am more used to going out and getting a 5-6 or 9 -10 size rather than waist sizes etc and small or medium. The shop assistants were also unable to help me with sizing as one of them likened a 22 waist to our ?medium? and then said it may be a child ?large?. Also for example, the sizes went from 5 ? 6 to 7 -8 missing out the 6 ? 7 completely and my son uses either a 5 -6 or 6 -7 depending on the fit so I could not get everything I liked to fit.

Both DCs liked the down vests which were pretty bright and soft and very light too. I liked the sweat shirts with the Faux Shearing. Really soft to the touch. There was a pair of shorts with

I like the products so will definitely get something in future. Only thing I will probably get it online as there is more of a choice there.

To be honest, I had never heard of Uniqlo so attending this has made me aware of the brand and also of the quality and the entire line of products.

I had a look through some women?s clothes too and there were some nice clothes. I liked a sweat but that was a little expensive. Also loved a jacket but that was also not really inexpensive.

I would recommend Uniqlo as there is a good range and the prices are reasonable too. The quality is quite good too. I am not sure how the clothes wash but from what I saw, they looked good.
