Blackberry picking - the build up as the fruit on local bushes turn ripe - and then, when the time comes, collecting a nice big bowl full! Simple pleasures.

We have multiple bird feeders on the garden so we love to sit an watch them come and feed, drink and bathe in the bird bath - we have a book to help us identify the species - we get quite a variety - The nest box in the tree when it's inhabited in spring - we love to watch the frenzie of feeding

Painting and hiding rocks for people to find. It forces you all to explore more of a park/area that you thought you knew well.

Riding bikes, going for walks, building snowmen in winter and digging huge holes in the sand on the beach in summer

Swimming with a picnic after which everyone has helped make & choose.

We all enjoy going to our local heritage railway, and riding the steam trains - the fish and chip specials are the best ! we have booked for the santa special this year too

Spending time together singing , some off us are good and others not so tuneful , but it’s the fun. Boxing all of us box with one another - gloves and pads not ring. Board games. But the best is cooking together and having a laugh. The other is turn taking reading we’ve always done that flipping from one character to another since they were tiny . Even at night time we do turn taking reading enables laughter or some times tears together, and evokes conversation. Days out, walks . Making up when we fall out or disagree

Outdoors: Bike rides and picnics, garden camping, National trust / English heritage walks and getting lost in the grounds
indoors: movie night- kids make “tickets” and serve snacks; we make super comfy floor beds; family board game night. Set up a nerf gun blockade war the other night and kids held me hostage!

We love going to the pub and playing poker dice.

We love to visit stately homes, haunted houses (love a ghost hunt) playing crazy golf and going to the cinema for a blockbuster

Taking a trip to the local park, my kids love this. It’s just simple and and it’s a free activity 😁 also picnics, trips to the cinema, a visit to the local garden centre to see the fish but not all in the same day 😴

Love the theatre, just seen Shrek the musical in Manchester, booked for a couple of others. Also love attending the cinema and watching movies in IMAX or 4dx.
my son is an accomplished horse rider and I enjoy watching him learning advanced skills.

We love a theme park, a day at the beach, kite flying and going to pizza hut

Tennis, walking, skiing, swimming, travel.

We love to go out for afternoon tea - they feel so grown up with little sandwiches, dainty cakes and scones and jam - then the cinema or swimming are a close runners up

We love looking though family photos from birthdays/christmas and holidays together - making memories looking at precious memories
