Dorset. X

My favorite spot is the Thermae Bath Spa of the Roman era. I just love that. I remember that I used discounts and deals a lot during my stay and it became quite affordable by using these.

OhhhPeee · 28/07/2020 14:24

Scotland’s coast is absolutely gorgeous.

pushchairprincess · 28/07/2020 15:29

I have many fond memories of going to Whitley Bay, with my cousins, uncle and aunts - the sun always seemed to shine, and the coast was amazing. I'd love to take my children there one day/ Smile

Norfolk, just love it there and there's lots of different parks for different holidays. North with the beautiful sunsets and the Red cliffs of Old Hunstanton on fire. The beach there is a fabulous sandy beach and there's a fun fair near by. Round the corner at Wells, cley and Brancaster, again fab beaches, fish and chips at Wells. The deli and smokehouse at Cley. Its very rare we eat out as theres so much seasonal produce to buy. The broads lovely cool walks on hot summers days. And finally my favourite seat at Norwich Market, just watching the world going by.

Londonmummy66 · 28/07/2020 17:29

Penally Abbey hotel just outside Tenby - lots of things to do in the area - the coast park for walks, otter spotting at the lily ponds near Stackpole, overspending at Melin Tregwynt , lots of castles and plenty of beaches of all sorts, from sand to rockpools to entertain the children

BrandyandBabycham · 28/07/2020 19:53

Kynance Cove is absolutely one of my favourite places in the world. And I am lucky enough to live less than 2 hours drive away.

starlight36 · 28/07/2020 21:43

Norfolk - choose either quiet natural
beaches like Brancaster or Cley or head to tourist beaches with all the facilities like Sheringham or Cromer.
Great trios our - Blakeney Point boat trip to Seals a highlight, followed by crabbing in Blakeney harbour.

Stayed in a Parkdean caravan in Silloth. Fab location with lots to do in the surrounding area, beach, farm park, aquarium, fairy cafe and walk which was a hit with kids, great splash park in the town. But the accommodation was awful, 600 pounds per week and mouldy grout, not well cleaned bathroom, chunks out the walls, decor badly needing updated, leaking toilet, ( great maintenance guy who fixed it quickly though) missing plugs in sinks, really uncomfy bed with springs you could feel and no reply to my complaint after. Having said that we had a great holiday because of location.. , would recommend for camping or a touring caravan!! Sorry not quite what Parkdean were hoping for but with some money spent it could be a lovely park and how will they know if customers don't feed back.

Cherry tree near Yarmouth. We couldn't afford much but found a few days here last year. Great Yarmouth is just great for the kids, and I loved it as a child and my dcs had the most amazing time. They loved it and it helped create some great memories for us as a family.

Our favourite place to visit as a family is Gwithian in Cornwall. Being in the north west it's not a regular trip but we've been 3 times in the past couple of years which for us is a big deal. We are very much in the mindset that there's alot of world out there so why go the same place twice but I feel my heart belongs there. Beautiful 3 mile stretch of untouched beach and miles and miles of sanddunes to play in. Good location to get to St Ives, Morazion, Lands End, The Lizard and Newquay. Obviously cream teas always taste better there too. We tend to go end of September/October as the beaches are dog friendly and it seems to have its own climate so weather has still always been fab. Hoping to go back this September.

London, for the hustle and bustle, always something to do, be it right in the centre or one of its amazing parks/attractions.

ResIpsaLoquiturInterAlia · 29/07/2020 22:01

Isles of Scilly and not only because it is one of a few UK places cocooned from Covid-19.

It is the ideal choice for the discerning, sensible respectful Covid smart and Covid safe rule abiding extra cautious explorer. Make sure you don't inadvertently contaminate the locals!

Possibly best UK weather and a nice getaway from the usual crowds.

thelistener · 30/07/2020 14:05

English Riviera always first choice! Cornwall and for a bit different definitely Edinburgh.

InspireMyHoliday · 30/07/2020 14:35

Wastwater in the Lake District is stunning. We love the Yorkshire Coast too and Anglesey.

Glitters100 · 30/07/2020 15:25

We always stay at park dean resorts as they have a high standard of cleanliness, our favourite place is Holywell bay in Cornwall.
The beach is clean and quiet, the walks are stunning and the places to eat nearby are lovely.

vaseandcandle · 30/07/2020 19:42

I love the highlands. Unfortunately we live in south east England so it's so far to get to. I'd love to drive up with bikes and camping equipment but it would take 10 hours..

Sam1904 · 30/07/2020 20:50

We love the Lake District. So picturesque and scenic, couldn't believe I was still in the UK. So much to do and see as well. A beautiful family break

lozaa · 30/07/2020 23:15

To write a list of all the items you will need and tick off as you pack. If you do type it out save it on the computer so the year after you can just print and edit as required

Coffeemummy123 · 31/07/2020 02:47

We love a city break, we like hearing accents and seeing how diffferent or similar a city is to ours.York is a firm favourite, been there a couple times in the summer but would love to visit at Christmas. I went York as a child on a school trip and fell in love with the place. It's just a connection i get, i can't explain it and now my kids love it too. We'd like to go anywhere in Scotland next. I hear the scenery is stunning.

waitingforadulthood · 31/07/2020 09:53

We love west wales, and go every year to camp. The beaches in Tenby/ sauderfoot are beautiful and clean. Our children also go to a caravan every year in the area with their grandparents so they visit twice a year at least (usually more)

There are so many areas of the uk we'd like to visit! We are an active family and love the countryside, so the Lake Districts have always appealed.

Chiddles09 · 31/07/2020 11:22

We went to the Lake District last year for the first time and we were completely blown away - everywhere we went was so stunningly beautiful and we all enjoyed all the outdoors things to do in the Lake District.

burwellmum · 31/07/2020 12:58

The beach at Mothecombe in Devon has happy memories for us.

RoundTheTwister · 31/07/2020 16:38

We live next to a beautiful beach so like to go on holiday to places with woodland/something different to home. Our favourite place to go in recent years has been the New Forest. There's so much to see and do in a relatively small area. We love long walks in the forest and pub lunches. There are so many places we'd love to go to, anywhere rural and with countryside is a hit!
