Be it a city break, a camping trip or an indulgent retreat by the seaside, the UK has many holiday destinations we love visiting with our loved ones.

With that in mind, Parkdean Resorts want to hear about your and your family’s favourite places to visit in the UK.

Here’s what they have to say: "We are the UK’s largest Holiday Park operator with 67 locations in some of the most stunning coastal, countryside and lakeside locations, from the impressive Scottish Highlands to the sunny South Coast.

After over three months of lockdown, we are so excited to re-open our holiday parks this summer and show just how much the UK has to over for a family staycation, allowing you to enjoy these wide open spaces and time with your family.

Choose from a huge range of caravans and lodges, including extra wide accommodation, perfect for families and packed with everything for a stress-free holiday. Dog friendly options mean you can bring the whole family too! For a touch of adventure, you’ll find a variety of pitches whether you’re camping in a tent, or pitching up a touring caravan or motorhome.

For your peace of mind, we have made commitments to protecting our holidaymakers, people and local communities for a safe stay, whilst also introducing a booking guarantee, giving you the confidence to book a much deserved holiday.“

What are your family favourite places to visit in the UK and why? How often do you go there and do you have a favourite time of the year to visit? What makes this place so special to you and your family - a memory you hold dear, or you simply love everything about it? Which UK destination is next on your go-to list or have always wanted to visit in?

Whatever your and your family’s favourite place to visit in the UK is, share on the thread below and you’ll be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £200 voucher for the store of their choice (from a list).

Thanks and good luck!

I love a UK holiday or mini break. For beaches and walks it's got to be The Gower or Snowdonia.
I also recently visited Lundy Island which was lovely.

Norfolk. We rent a lovely cottage there that is tiny, but right in the centre of town. The beach is walking distance and we can take our dog.

Anywhere in Devon or Cornwall. We would love more than anything to relocate down there but it cant be done!

Pretty much anywhere on a reasonably remote coast. It has become a thing to rent a really nice cottage as close to the sea as we possibly can for New Year. Devon, Cornwall, Wales, I have an eye on Northumberland next.

South View in Skegness is a very nice resort because there is plenty to do on site for everyone from Fishing, swimming baths, Night time entertainment in the club and it is also very close to the Skegness centre and the beaches.

We love Northumberland because there's plenty to explore, beautiful beaches, and it's conveniently between us and the family members we holiday with most often.

I moved south from the Midlands many years ago. I'd love to go back to some of the places I was taken to for day trips as child by my family - Bridgenorth, Ludlow and Shrewsbury.

Whitby is always a special one for me. It was the setting of one of my favourite books when I was younger & I was always desparate to visit & see all the places mentoned in the books.
When I finally got there, I totally fell in love with it.. the abbey, the 199 steps.. the little cobbled streets - it's just wonderful!
I also really love Cornwall - that gorgeous rugged coastline - why would I ever want to get on a plane when there is still so much of the UK for me to explore?!

Pembrokeshire is beautiful to visit all year round. Fabulous beaches and coastal path walks, lovely towns to explore and wonderful food.
Cornwall is also lovely to visit in the summer months, just a shame so many others think the same and the traffic is so busy!

Poole in Dorset - so many lovely things to do - beaches, boat trips, steam train to Corfe Castle.

Exmouth Devon, trip to Exeter (kids really enjoyed the museum) plus beach and boat trips again.

Bath - because I went to uni there and I love the city and the Roman baths and the Abbey.

South Wales - just stunning beaches and lots of castles.

I'd say Cornwall but I live there.....

We are lucky enough to live in Norfolk and often take staycations here to the North Coast. I think we have the most beautiful beaches. I would also recommend Lochinver in the north of Scotland

Grassmere in the lake district. It is idyllic and peaceful. The rolling country side is out of this world. The air smells so fresh and the little rowing boats out on the lake are perfect to sit relaxing and unwinding. I love to go in spring. My favourite place in the whole world

It has to be Cornwall! Normally go off season to avoid the crowds, though. And don’t be going at all this year!
