No doubt, at some point in our lives, we’ve all been asked ‘What is your dream job?’. For many of us, the answer we gave probably isn’t the career we’ve ended up doing. The Open University would like to know which course you would study to help you achieve your dream job.

Maybe you’ve always dreamed of doing a particular job and you know there are courses that would help you to achieve it. Perhaps you’re already in the career you want but hope to move up to the next level? Or there is a course you’re really interested in taking and then you could visualise a career from there?

We’ve partnered with The Open University so that they can help MNers discover the range of courses and qualifications available. Take a look on their website here.

Here’s what The Open University has to say: "Every year, 1000’s of students from all walks of life enrol with The OU to develop new skills and boost their career prospects. With a wide range of subjects and qualifications that have no formal entry requirements, you can achieve your dream career with our flexible courses. Fit study around your life, your family, work and other commitments and get ongoing support from our expert tutors and student services team."

Simply post The OU course you would choose to study and the career of your dreams on the thread below to enter the prize draw. One lucky winner will receive a £300 voucher of their choice provided by Mumsnet (from a list).

Thanks and good luck with the prize draw.

I am actually a graduate of the OU and can definitely say they helped me on my way. I LOVED my undergraduate (natural sciences, biology path) study so much that I carried on to do an MSc (Applied Bioscience). If I had the time to do another I'd love to do either a forensic course or one on animal psychology.

I have fads so this will change every week. This week it's statistics, having just read about how it can be used to prove amazing things about everyday life given high volumes of data. Next week, who knows ...

They don’t have a course that meets my needs perfectly but the design and innovation course is the closest as I’ve always wanted to do interior design

kaytee75 · 31/05/2019 01:37

I have so many things I'd love to learn about but my main love is animals and conservation so I think a degree in Environmental Science would be fab.
My dream job would be working as some kind of animal rescuer / rehabilitator - especially overseas where I could work with marine life
