Hopefully give birth to a healthy baby and somehow get through the first year in one peace!

Oh and finish my Masters dissertation - those two goals are compatible right?!

DaisyDando · 06/01/2019 07:32

I’ve decided to eat more colourfully and cook with my DS more, rather than just thinking that I do.

EastMidsGPs · 06/01/2019 07:38

2019 is the year, (having spent 2018 in planning and preparation) that I put my long term plan to give back something to my local community into action.
My goal is to set up and run free monthly community reminiscence sessions in 3 venues across my local area.
The first session will happen at the beginning of Feb.

These sessions will be for anyone over 50 who feels lonely, isolated or who just wants to make new friends over shared memories. Each session will have a theme and we'll chat over ☕ and 🍰. I'd particularly like to encourage men to join as I believe they are often 'hidden' in their isolation.

As I will be doing this without any funding, the Instant Ink would be a godsend for making posters, publicity flyers, writing letters and presenting reports to hopefully (by the end of 2019) secure a bit of funding to continue and train others to run similar sessions going forward.

Fabulous idea Eastmidlands I hope you win Grin

ReginaPhalangee · 06/01/2019 09:20

My resolution for 2019 is to cook fresh meals from scratch and plan meals each week to have less of a hefty shopping bill. I also aim to use my Instant Pot more so that evenings are less fraught and more relaxing because dinner is already prepared.

Beeziekn33ze · 06/01/2019 14:56

Deep clean house, lose weight, use gym membership, get published, spent less time online ...
Bye!!

JudgeRulesNutterButter · 06/01/2019 19:44

Write the book that’s been bubbling around in my head for ages.

I’m really not sure if I can write, but it’s one of those “I don’t want to look back on my life knowing I never tried” moments.

Plus lots of writers say the first step to writing is to read lots. And I DEFINITELY do that. So hey I’m like 70% there already, right? Grin

GhostSauce · 06/01/2019 20:07

I am going to hugely cut down on my drinking! With the help of the DJ app and the lovely MN penguins.

MrsMaker88 · 06/01/2019 20:09

I don’t do New Years resolutions, any time of the year can be good for making a change where needed! But this year I’m just trying to appreciate being me and what I have already :-)

Fretfulparent · 06/01/2019 22:27

my resolution is to try to look on the positive side of everything

SeaGreenSeaGlass · 07/01/2019 01:17

To eat less processed food.
I'm going to make my kitchen more inviting and work better for me - it's small and could do with a clear out of unused crockery etc.

LJH79 · 07/01/2019 06:39

My resolution is to be more positive. Everyone will have one word printed off and stuck around the house for inspiration. New year and a happier family hopefully!

Other than the traditional "this year I'm going to eat less and go the gym more" resolution, my actual resolution this year is to broaden my cooking horizons to make more family meals that my toddler will eat and not rely on the usual curry/chili/chicken pie fare (with a waffle/omelette for DS). Currently researching slow cookers so I can do more cooked-from-scratch meals that fit in around work/nursery/toddler activities, and have already printed off a few recipes which I fancy trying (both with and without SC!).

sharond101 · 07/01/2019 12:26

I've failed already (but not given up!). I want to do less and enjoy more.

queenoftheschoolrun · 07/01/2019 13:37

My aim is to get back to meal planning. Decide on a weekend what we're going eat during the next week so I can make sure we have all the ingredients. We got a bit lazy in the latter half of 2018 and all our good intentions went out of the window!

Almostthere15 · 07/01/2019 15:26

We're hoping to improve our meal planning. At the moment there's too much waste/indecision/Last minute shops. Printing our meal planning and shopping lists would help a lot I suspect

Ammari515253 · 07/01/2019 16:42

My NYR is to become mentally stronger and achieve some personal goals which I have been proscrasinating to do. Also, I'd like to up my recycling/upcycling ideas and also encourage my family to do the same.

Goingovertosusanshouse · 07/01/2019 17:06

I’m trying to get less stressed about stuff I can’t control. I’m aiming to give myself a bit of time each day to reflect which I’m hoping will keep the stress under control a bit.

OrdinarySnowflake · 07/01/2019 17:20

To make sure dh and I get out on a date (either just us or meeting friends for dinner together) at least once a month.

We lost family babysitting when PIL had health issues last year and didn't want to ask them too much. We realised we can afford to pay babysitters, it's just we haven't really got in the habit of it until there's something we are invited to. We want to get back into just going out because we want to have some time just us.

QueenOfPharts · 07/01/2019 18:08

We really need to save money and plan our family time a bit better. This would be perfect and would be great to make some charts and spreadsheet I could print out. Me and dh also mean to do a cleaning/chore rota!

1969angep · 07/01/2019 20:49

I want to get more organised! If I didn't waste so much time looking for stuff every day I'd get heaps more done!

Hopezibah · 07/01/2019 21:32

We definitely need to sort out a weekly family planner and print it out to stick on the fridge - with 3 kids who all need to be in different places at different times and so many things to remember the standard planners just don't do the job - but we can create our own schedule to include everything we need to and print it out for us all to refer to.

TrollTheRespawnJeremy · 08/01/2019 00:34

I’m determined to get organised this year so I have a pocket calendar/diary that I’ve kept to thus far...

I think I need a good filing system as well.

HoHoHolittlepea · 08/01/2019 03:13

This year Id like to ger down to a healthy weight, do the organised mum method (lots of printing involved!) and be more organised. I like the sound of the instant ink plan. Would make uni work a bit easier!
