My aim is to stop eating chocolate and to encourage my husband to do the same Grin

mollysmammy · 08/01/2019 11:14

To live in the moment 😊 too often I have lived in the past, 'should have, would have, could have'... It's held me back from enjoying the here and now ❤️

lisapop · 08/01/2019 15:23

For me, it's all about stepping out of my comfort zone & trying/learning new things. I'm starting with learning sign language

claza93 · 08/01/2019 15:32

This year I am going to try and make more time for me! I am forever putting the children first but I feel this year I need to put myself first once in a while. I am going to get back up to running 10k and will attempt to get to some fitness classes!

LoobyLou1976 · 08/01/2019 19:32

Two goals this year! Starting the fast 800 diet (on day two and feeling ok so far!), and starting Spanish lessons in a couple of weeks. Going to night classes on my own will be a big challenge but one I am looking forward to!

Sunflowermuma · 08/01/2019 20:18

My new year plan is to try and take more time out for me, going to try and do it by becoming more efficient with my time during the day so once the kids are in bed I can read or crochet rather then run around clearing up

QwertyLou · 08/01/2019 21:26

I’ve loved reading everyone’s goals.. inspiring. Mine are:

  1. Get my kitchen replaced. I’m going to achieve this by tracking down the 101 quotes I got from different trades and booking people in.
  1. Get a proper cooking routine in place so I don’t end up giving my son breakfast cereal for dinner some nights with carrot sticks on the side! Blush I will achieve this by batch cooking on the weekend and sticking a dinner plan on the fridge.
StickChildNumberTwo · 08/01/2019 22:23

My aim is to go to bed earlier and get more sleep, which means getting off Mumsnet - oooops!

MummyofTw0 · 08/01/2019 23:29

My resolution is to not sweat about the small stuff

(I'm a big worrier)

AVT5 · 09/01/2019 11:36

I would like to lose a couple of stone so will be priting out a chart for me to update on my progress!

AllAboutHallowsEve · 09/01/2019 14:40

My goal is to stop binge eating. It is spoiling my life.

I also need to save money. My divorce has left me skint with no savings left. I desperately need to rebuild my savings.

I like what another poster said about creating more memories with their children. I'd like to do this too.

user1496959500 · 09/01/2019 15:21

Be able to have bad food in the house without eating it all in one go.... so a resolution for restraint and moderation!

April2020mom · 09/01/2019 17:25

To attend prayer meetings. My other goal is to make more friends and exercise more.

flamingtoaster · 09/01/2019 20:15

I would like to get fitter. However, to do that I need to put on weight which I find incredibly difficult. I also want to start decluttering the house.

NoorM · 10/01/2019 02:02

To start exercising daily, every 2 days haha, good luck to me

tobypercy · 10/01/2019 13:41

My son is much keener on doing homework if he can use the computer for it. I'm going to let him do that and not skimp so much on the printing!

Anj123 · 10/01/2019 19:38

Unfortunately just before Christmas I found out my job won’t exist beyond March due to budget cuts, so my new year’s resolution is to get a new job!

janekirk · 10/01/2019 21:50

The usual 'lose weight', only this time I promised my other half £50 if I don't meet each monthly target and there is no way I'm giving him £50!

sm2012 · 10/01/2019 22:11

I really need to get photos actually printed this year to put in albums, frames etc. Hardly any of my youngest are around the house and she's old enough now to notice! As a family we want to try to cut down on sugar so will be searching for low sugar recipes to print out and try :)

musicalprof · 10/01/2019 22:17

As a family, we're trying to reduce our use of single-use plastic. We have already switched from liquid soap to bars, from liquid detergent to powder & from teabags to loose leaf tea. Some of the switches cost about the same, some have been cheaper & some are more expensive, but that's generally because they are fair trade or made by a social enterprise. I am really determined to think about how we are spending our money, try to limit any negative impact & have as positive an impact as possible.

libra101 · 11/01/2019 06:42

My New Year resolution is to eat more healthily and exercise more.

I have already lost weight and increased my exercising, mainly by walking further with my dog each day, but also trying to walk more when doing jobs and housekeeping.

It is difficult to keep motivated though, and that is what I will have to work on.

littlecloudling · 11/01/2019 07:47

To start doing more homeschooling so a printer to create resources.

welshmardymum · 11/01/2019 14:03

i have two - say yes to things ... within reason!! i too often say no to things and use my family as an excuse this year i am going to recover my get up and go. The second is to master eyeliner .... surely in my 45th year this is achievable!

buffysummers4 · 11/01/2019 16:28

My goal for this year is to use my time more productively - I often end up faffing around online when I could be doing something useful.

dippydeedoo · 11/01/2019 18:59

I have several goals at the age of 44, Im determined to pass my driving test this year, Im determined to rise higher at work and on a very personal level I am definitely becoming more positive, after several years of mental health issues and anxiety I am now equipped with the skills to help myself and become the confident woman I once was - I like to keep records and record my thoughts and I love motivational things I find on Pinterest,so I’m forever printing stuff and using it as visual reminders of milestones I’m GOING to tick off!!
2019 is going to be a positive year for me !!!
