Healthier diets all round in our house- they aren't bad now but there is definite room for improvement (less chocolate & alcohol!).
I also hope (need!) to get a new job.

Christmasfairy07 · 01/01/2019 09:39

I wasn’t going to make any but there are some things I want to change. I need to let things go more for starters & worry A LOT less. I need to get back to karate & Pilates classes. And I definitely need to try much harder not to shout at my daughter! Happy New Year to everyone 🥂🍾🎈🎉🎇🎆

lostmywayrightnow · 01/01/2019 10:51

To adopt a more sensible approach to healthy eating.

Quietvoiceplease · 01/01/2019 12:23

Well I have a few NY intentions, some of which are carried over from last year Wink
I want to read a book a fortnight (which is heroic for me), lose that stone, spend less on food, do more things as a family, see those friends I have failed to catch up with, finally buy a sofa, and manage a family holiday. Oh, and spend as much time as possible with my DM - and helping her live as well and happily as possible - before her dementia finally removes me from her ever-more fragile memory.

Continue my bid for world domination of a narrow niche area in academia...
Achieved through writing, publishing, lecturing.
Survive the misery of Brexit...through alcohol, denial, sleep.
Be kinder to people in my family, as we seem to keep arguing, achieve through learn8ng patience and empathy.

I want to try and do more for my Grandma who is 91, find some more ways to earn extra money and find more time to relax.

Our aim for this year is to declutter then redecorate oneroom at a time.

Justbackfromnewwine · 01/01/2019 16:24

My goals for the year are to declutter and treat my body well!
Also to get all the kids in bed earlier.
I’m going to achieve the decluttering by continuing with the Marie Kondo method.
I want to treat my body well by eating better, drinking less alcohol and exercising more!
I’m going to get the kids in bed earlier by.... starting to put them to bed earlier!

alicejaney · 01/01/2019 16:45

Keep to my 16:8 diet as it works

Realitea · 01/01/2019 17:33

I have a few really. One, to get the family more involved in looking after the house so I have more time to do other things. I’m going to print off a weekly rota and make sure everyone ticks off their job when it’s done.
Secondly I am going push my talents further. Actually do something with them. And of course, lose 1-2 stone by summer preferably. We’ll see how that one goes! Grin

MakeTeaNotWar · 01/01/2019 17:52

As usual, I'd like to eat, spend and shout less - think I've failed on all 3 counts already today

Aspergallus · 01/01/2019 19:38

I’d like to get more organised, for all of us (2 adults and 3 kids), with a focus on health -meal planning healthy meals, fitting in activities. I also need to set some fitness goals for myself- mostly rehab after 3 kids including step by step work in my separated abs building up to core strength work.

anitagreen · 01/01/2019 19:49

Eat more healthy id like to lose 3 stone and also just become a more happier person

Bebe03 · 01/01/2019 22:58

Get more fit- with help for my Fitbit! Do more cooking & be more adventures with my recipes. Start to live in the moment rather than wishing my life away!

Theimpossiblegirl · 02/01/2019 00:13

I am going to get back into meal planning, hopefully saving money and avoiding top-up shops mid week. I am also not buying coffee/snacks when out to save money.

Fanjango · 02/01/2019 00:33

I intend to do lots of printing just now. This year marks the start of a new venture, a support group for parents of children with send. We have a large fb following but now are branching out to offer more specialised one to one and face to face support. It's way out of my comfort zone but people need help...so we are doing it. Alongside this I juggle getting oldest to get a job, supporting my two asd children be the best they can and my older daughter finding the path to her chosen career. Not much for a year....🙄

Byrdie · 02/01/2019 06:22

Less time playing on phones for the kids... thinking of banning them entirely. Less shouting (me) and more outdoor time (for all of us).

sammyie · 02/01/2019 07:37

GOAL - complete my degree in the Counselling Profession!

For myself, my family, my future and that of others.

VirtuallyThere · 02/01/2019 09:43

I have all the usual get fit/healthier ones. And I also aim to reduce the amount of room in our house used for paper storage by scanning paperwork as it comes into the house, taking photos of more of the school stuff and getting old photos/documents scanned in.

whomovedmychocolate · 02/01/2019 10:09

Mine is to start a new business. Because I'm far too beligerent to go back to work for someone else!

skippy170784 · 02/01/2019 10:43

To be more present and spent time with my family. Turn off the TV, put down the phone and focus on each other and interacting with each other not a piece of technology!
