My goal is to be kinder to myself. Make more time for myself. Treat myself more often. Stop being so hard on myself. To stop striving for perfection and realise that my I am great just the way I am :)

Tentomidnight · 15/01/2019 14:50

New years resolutions are to:

  1. double my income.
To be achieved by training to build on my skills then setting up my own small business so that I can work hours which don’t require childcare
  1. Get the family more active.
We’re going to each come up with ideas for activities and write them on the calendar, so that we actually plan them into our lives and do them
  1. Try to be more positive about my self image.
To appreciate 3 things about myself every day, and say them out loud to myself. I’ve started with body positivity to fight my dysmorphia

mclarkie · 16/01/2019 19:26

I need to get on top of my credit card debts and pay them off this year.

Jocelynne123 · 16/01/2019 20:08

My goal is to get the whole family out of the house and off the sofa. We are doing more. Even just things like going down the coast for a walk or going to the pictures etc. We are all enjoying it so far dx

mishknight · 17/01/2019 14:29

I don't do New Year's Resolutions. I'm trying to learn to accept myself as I am. Constant goal setting is exhausting and there's too much pressure and unwanted advice making us all feel inferior. Sick of social media telling me what I should be doing. will listen more to my 'inner parent' and use instincts more.

BL0SS0M · 17/01/2019 15:45

I’m trying to exercise more by walking everyday and eating healthier

thesockgap · 17/01/2019 15:55

A few ideas for resolutions that we've had as a family for the new year are:

  • to spend more quality time as a family - could be having a chat over the dinner table, having a day out together, or just watching the same film together.
  • to get out in the fresh air and go walking at least twice a week.
  • to catch up on all the tv shows and box sets we've got stored up
  • to eat more healthily, and rely less on processed food or stuff from the freezer.
and
  • to keep on top of homework as soon as it's given out
angiehoggett · 17/01/2019 18:33

to keep up my fitness and also to drink more water

cluckyhen · 18/01/2019 10:57

I'm going to travel more and stress less - already booked a break away and am changing my jobs to reduce my hours!

grannybiker · 18/01/2019 18:20

I'm going to start printing out the pictures of fun times and putting them in albums - just like the old days, LOL! #Making Memories

clopper · 18/01/2019 20:35

My resolution is to go to bed much earlier. I’m hoping that I will spend less time on screens, read more books and eat less snacks by doing this, as well as feeling more refreshed of course. I am naturally an ‘owl ‘ person so it might be tricky to retrain my body clock after all this time, but I’m hopeful.

TiggersAngel7774 · 18/01/2019 22:35

lose weight and get fitter, we eating more chicken base meals and so more protein and veg as oopose to steak and chips /spag bol type meals

HelenSw4les · 18/01/2019 22:44

I've started journalling, the first time I've ever done this; it's going to keep my goals of family activities, holidays, home improvements and more for the year, all in one place. I've also allocated pages to write a brief note about how each day has been, this is to improve my mental health.

So looking forward to my journal journey, 18 days in and it's going well and my journal is filling up nicely.

samcornfield · 19/01/2019 09:52

I am going to lose weight. I have lost 1/2 stone so far

bertie1984 · 19/01/2019 11:15

Im trying to just generally be more organised this year! Ive got printed meal plans and shopping lists for this month, and have sorted out all my paperwork on my desk! So far so good x

clareycat · 19/01/2019 11:18

We really want to expand our family with baby number two. However i really want to lose weight first to ensure if fit throughout the pregnancy. I've started by giving up alcohol, eating a lot less meat and joining a gym. I'm 7lbs down already so fingers crossed we'll have happy news soon.
