To be more mindful, aware of what I am doing, calmness, more aware. It's about not rushing around like a headless chicken and prioritising tasks. Realising I'm not superwoman and can't do it all.

allsorts4444 · 13/01/2019 19:16

I'm due our second child in May so I know better than to set anything unrealistic. I just want to spend time with my little boy before he starts nursery and our new baby. Also more time for me and my husband would be good too. Other than that, no other goals :)

cherylann2461 · 13/01/2019 19:34

I am dertermined to stop worrying so much. I make myself ill by worrying!

puppy23 · 13/01/2019 19:42

To really smash the first year of my degree - going to work my socks off! Also hoping to travel more and spend lots of time with family

suewilly · 13/01/2019 19:44

I have two aims for 2019. The first is to spend less time in A&E than I did in 2018! To achieve this one I'm being very strict about taking my epilepsy meds and I've changed to a ketogenic diet which is apparently recommended for epileptics by doctors.
My second aim is to be more organised with my attempts to learn Spanish. I intend to get my handouts from class organised into a folder so I can always find the one I need, and I intend to do my homework as soon as I get home from class rather than leaving it until the night before the next class.
Fingers crossed I achieve both objectives!

I love making lists for everything.
I do meal planning so print a list out for that. I have a fitness chart for my partner which works well. I have a reward chart printed out for my children so they can see that good behaviour gets rewarded.
My favourite list is my to-do list as it's a sense of achievement to cross things off it.

EmmaBuffaloWing · 13/01/2019 19:48

My goal is to spend more quality time with my family by planning trips outs and making the most of time off together.

womblelancs · 13/01/2019 19:52

My goal is to declutter. We seem to accumulate so much stuff, and I reckon that the charity shop could make use of a lot of the things we no longer need.

pinkjjf27 · 13/01/2019 19:54

My goals are to stop stressing and relax more and to have a better work life balance. I have to be more assertive and say no more. I also want to decorate my bed room. I have done the whole house but mine keeps getting put off.I have signed up for yoga classes and I am going to actively make more time for me. I am leaving work on time and switching my work phone off as soon as I leave . I am not reading emails on the commute home and reading a book instead I am not doing extra work at home and spending more time with my family. I am looking for an assertive training class . I have got paint charts and will set time aside to sort my room out in the summer.

Resolution is to get outside for a walk each day and I'm achieving this by taking a camera with me to photograph nature each day and every morning so far I can't wait to get outside to see what I can find so this is definitely working for me and at the end of the year I will have a selection of hopefully beautiful photos.

emmav6 · 13/01/2019 20:16

i want to try and shop more on my local high street supporting local businesses

yoeydavis · 13/01/2019 20:22

I gained a lot of weight after surgery on my leg left me imobile for ages. This year I want to get fit and healthy. i want to learn to cook healthier, low fat, meals for my family and start to enjoy exercise again.

helly27 · 13/01/2019 20:42

To sweat the small stuff less and hope to achieve it but taking a step back from situations first to look at it clearly before stressing over it.

lynsmagoo · 13/01/2019 20:48

my goal is to stop smoking and drink more water. so I've bought an e-cigarette which has been working so far. Also have bought multi packs of 500ml bottled water in the weekly shop and I pop one in my handbag every morning for my desk at work. so far so good!

arat · 13/01/2019 20:53

Our short term goal is to get moved into our new house by the end of half-term (while remaining healthy and vaguely sane during the process!) Not sure yet if it will happen or how, but it will involve lots of lists!

Dormouse1940 · 13/01/2019 20:58

Honestly, my New Year's resolution is to be more positive. Optimism doesn't come naturally to me, I have to really work at it, but I find the more I try the easier it is, and the better my mental wellbeing.
I also find actively practicing gratitude is amazing and makes me realise just how lucky I am, even when things maybe aren't quite working out.
Faced a lot of challenges lately and working to keep a positive outlook has made thing much easier!

Lisapaige24 · 13/01/2019 21:04

lhlee62 · 13/01/2019 21:51

My goal was to save enough money to do some things to the house, but something happened which has made me realise family is important so now my goal is to spend more time with my daughters.

pfcpompeysarah · 13/01/2019 21:52

I have resolved to quit drinking alcohol most nights a week, lose weight and go to bed earlier so I get more sleep and wake up feeling more refreshed. I hope that I'll be able to do this but after an op recently I am starting on the back foot a bit!

cozza777 · 13/01/2019 22:15
