NOW CLOSED

It’s no secret that kitchens house potentially dangerous items that are intriguing to a toddler set on exploring. With this in mind, Fairy Non Bio would like to find out how you fare at spotting hazards in the kitchen. Take this quiz to find out and share how you get on below.

Here’s what Fairy Non Bio has to say: “There is nothing more special than watching your little one take their first steps or hearing them say their first words. These incredible moments will stay with us as parents forever but with them come new things to watch out for. As little explorers grow and begin discovering the world, the risks around them change, too. For Fairy Non Bio, we want to spread the word to keep your laundry detergents safely away from little hands. Click close lids, store products up high and be aware of where your child is when you are doing the washing.”

Whether you can spot hazards without thinking or need to brush up on your safety skills, share your score below to be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 voucher for the store of their choice (from a list).

Thanks and good luck!

All 7...

Theimpossiblegirl · 17/12/2018 19:27

5/7
Thank goodness my children are older. :)

dontticklethetoad · 17/12/2018 19:29

7/7.

Fumnudge · 17/12/2018 19:34

3/7, my phone want accepting my clicks unless I did it twice Angry
But I disagree, I think a boiling pan with the handle facing out is far more dangerous that a gas flame. Burnt finger versus pan of boiling water on your head?
Ditto the red wine, heavy pan on the edge of the counter v a glass of vino.
That's scuppered my chances of the voucher now Wink

6/7 - I didn’t understand the patio door one!

Easylikeasonntagmorgan · 17/12/2018 19:54

4/7

Oh dear! Blush

EnergeticMartian · 17/12/2018 19:59

6 for me

FlukeSkyeRunner · 17/12/2018 20:02

5, but only cus I wandered off half way through without realising there was a time limit!

ShotsFired · 17/12/2018 20:03

I managed to get 7/7 and I don't even have children! But then again the photos were basically "look at this obvious thing"...

torthecatlady · 17/12/2018 20:26

I got all 7... or 6 because I clicked on the stem of the wine glass, so it didn't count Hmm

Philomensapie · 17/12/2018 20:40

5/7, but I have no toddlers anymore.

LivingDeadGirlUK · 17/12/2018 21:12

5/7 but that was due to not realising it was timed!

aurorie11 · 17/12/2018 21:16

Oops 4 out of 7!

EggysMom · 17/12/2018 21:25

6/7 as my clicking aim was off ....

bridgetosomewhere · 17/12/2018 21:41

7/7 go me! Was kind of obvious tho really....

Imgettingcheesefries · 17/12/2018 21:57

5 because I was too slow

arranbubonicplague · 17/12/2018 22:08

7/7 tho' there were multiple hazards in a number of the pictures...

Azra12 · 17/12/2018 22:31

7/7
They were quiet obvious as the pictures were close up, so easier to spot the hazard

Hmm12121 · 17/12/2018 22:34

5 but I was too slow apparently

Daffodils8 · 17/12/2018 22:37

7 - seems fairly common sense!

headfullofdreams · 17/12/2018 22:39

6 for me. Am tired though and kids older now so not as worried as I used to be!

MadeForThis · 17/12/2018 22:47

All pretty basic common sense.

cakedup · 17/12/2018 23:02

7 that was much easier than I thought

GoodHeavensNoImAChicken · 17/12/2018 23:15

6/7 that last one had two hazards!

HopeGarden · 17/12/2018 23:15

@KingBobra

I'm not sure what we're supposed to learn/do differently in the first one - just don't ever cook anything on gas?!

You can minimise the risk by using the back rings to cook on, rather than the front rings (picture showed a pan on one of the front rings). Plus obviously making sure pan handles don’t stick out where little hands might grab at them.
