NOW CLOSED

It’s no secret that kitchens house potentially dangerous items that are intriguing to a toddler set on exploring. With this in mind, Fairy Non Bio would like to find out how you fare at spotting hazards in the kitchen. Take this quiz to find out and share how you get on below.

Here’s what Fairy Non Bio has to say: “There is nothing more special than watching your little one take their first steps or hearing them say their first words. These incredible moments will stay with us as parents forever but with them come new things to watch out for. As little explorers grow and begin discovering the world, the risks around them change, too. For Fairy Non Bio, we want to spread the word to keep your laundry detergents safely away from little hands. Click close lids, store products up high and be aware of where your child is when you are doing the washing.”

Whether you can spot hazards without thinking or need to brush up on your safety skills, share your score below to be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 voucher for the store of their choice (from a list).

Thanks and good luck!

7/7

I'm pretty paranoid about it, as in my working life, I was involved in risk assessments and I have developed a very critical eye.

  1. Taking this did remind me of the 'safe / dangerous' health and safety training scene in The Office with Gareth. Classic! Still managed to mess it up though!
Ashhead24 · 24/12/2018 09:05

I got three. It wouldn't work properly on my phone. Apparently I'm dangerous!

CheeseAndBeans · 24/12/2018 10:32

6/7 I am aware a pan on a stove is a hazard but I was too slow!

angiehoggett · 24/12/2018 12:40

7/7 I surprised myself there how much I knew!

ShockedHorrored · 24/12/2018 16:58

7/7 go me!

Gazelda · 24/12/2018 17:46

I got 6. I was a bit confused by the wine?

JBH316 · 24/12/2018 18:28

5/7 - missed out on the first one as I didn't realise I was being timed!

munchbunch12 · 24/12/2018 19:59

7/7, maybe my children aren't in as much danger as I thought!

laurac1987 · 24/12/2018 20:02

Your score: 7 / 7
Safe as houses

Phew! Usually, I do see things before or as they're about to happen.

Lobatri · 24/12/2018 20:27

6/7 because i assumed the person cooking would be there and i saw the hazard as being the pan handle sticking out. Does that mean you never use the front two hobs? Xmas dinner for 8 will be slow going tomorrow Grin

Mountainash · 24/12/2018 23:55

6/7 The last question timed me out.
Ideally children should not be in a kitchen. Mine were in a playpen or the otherside of a safety gate. Not always possible I know.
I would like to suggest that parents learn first aid for children, just in case.

AlliKaneErikson · 25/12/2018 05:13

I got 7, but to be fair they weren’t particularly hard to get! Kitchens are not a great place for little ones but I like to think mine at 11 and 8 are quite ‘savvy’ about the potential dangers in the kitchen.

mwatmough · 25/12/2018 08:30

7/7 common sense

44PumpLane · 25/12/2018 12:59

6 out of 7 but like others I felt a mrssively heavy looking pan looked like a bigger hazard than a glass of wine!

farhanac · 25/12/2018 13:02

7 not too shabby

Lisapaige24 · 25/12/2018 14:03

7/7 my house is safe 😁

labazs · 25/12/2018 15:05

Wondered why i got a red mark for the washing pods left open on the floor to me that is a danger

IndianaMoleWoman · 25/12/2018 16:22

5/7 too slow!

imrankhanpost · 25/12/2018 22:10

Always my cousins fav method of communications let alone the pictures I can tell you they get on insti whilst on their travels.

kiki725 · 26/12/2018 12:29

7/7 but it was fairly simple. Some of the photos looked to have a lot more than one danger imo

Garytopley9 · 26/12/2018 13:34

7 for me. Thankyou for the reminders. x

badgermum · 26/12/2018 13:51

I got 6/7 as the wine caught me out !

rejcomp · 26/12/2018 14:30
