The summer holidays are filled with busy days spent navigating heaving soft play centres, staging obstacle courses around the garden, finding new reasons for why, no, your child can not have another ice cream - and generally throwing your all in to avoiding the dreaded moans of ‘I’m bored’. But when the kids are worn out and have (finally) been shipped off to bed, it’s time for parents to relax. With a range of new films, on demand and ready whenever you are, Sky Cinema is there to help you recharge this summer, and to celebrate we would love to know your tips for a perfect cosy night in.

Do you like to finally make the time to catch up on those new releases that you missed in the cinema, like Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Star Wars: The Last Jedi or Justice League? Or maybe the perfect evening is spent with a glass of wine in hand, preparing a delicious slap up meal for two? Perhaps you use the few hours of peace to relax with a serious at-home pamper session - cucumber eye mask and all.

Here’s what Sky Cinema has to say: “Sky Cinema, the dedicated home for movie lovers. Enjoy unlimited movies on demand, from the biggest blockbusters to much loved family favourites. With something for everyone this summer, Sky Cinema is ready whenever you are.”

However you spend your perfect night in, post it on the thread below to be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 voucher of their choice (from a list).

Thanks and good luck

My perfect night in would be watching a couple of movies while enjoying a take away with a glass of wine, followed by a lovely desert

Spices001 · 09/07/2018 23:23

Our cosy night in consists of PJ's on, curtains pulled to make it snug and dark (with some twig/fairy lights around the room to give it a warm feel). We have something on the telly, either a boxset or a film, while snuggled up on the sofa under throws or blankets, munching on a table filled with bowls of snacks such as nuts, doritos, crisps and popcorn... absolute bliss!

A romantic movie is always a good move for parents to watch. A chance to remind you of each other, a glass of wine and some nibles.

Sleepysausage · 10/07/2018 08:09

Food would either be a takeaway or one of us might prepare our favourite meal, a good film and plenty of home popped popcorn

MissusDave · 10/07/2018 08:43

Ideal cosy night in would be daughter happily fast asleep, comfy clothes on, cup of tea, chocolate pudding and a superhero movie with my husband. Perfect!

Visioncroquet · 10/07/2018 09:40

My teen daughter has a tv & dvd player in her room, on a Friday her & her little sister choose a dvd from the supermarket to watch. We also buy them a few snacks as a treat &she has a popcorn maker in her bedroom.

We also occasionally sit down as a family to watch a movie together, but it can be difficult considering the large age gaps between my kids .

I need to prepare for my perfect night in. I can't relax if the house is in chaos! But then I want to escape completely in something interesting with a docufilm being my first choice, adding in some snacks and good company for the ultimate in happy.

DH & I eating a curry on the sofa in front of a superhero/ine movie, with the cat in the middle, purring and trying to steal bits of chicken. Heaven. 😇

TheWizardofWas · 10/07/2018 14:54

Bottle of wine, sushi, warm sake and great books. We read out buts to each other. Relaxing and reminds us why we fell in love with each others minds.

PenguinsCantFly · 10/07/2018 14:59

My recipe for a cosy night in...

●Main lights off
●Lamps on
●Takeaway on order
●Blankets at the ready

farhanac · 10/07/2018 16:58

Tire out the little ones during the day so they dose off early at night

CornishMaid1 · 10/07/2018 17:14

Saturday night is date night in our house. We may go out for dinner or we may stay in and cook something nice for a treat.

After it is a quick check to see what new movie is on Sky Cinema and then movie night with some popcorn (and sweets if we are feeling naughty). I can't wait for the new Jumanji movie to go on their next month. Any night cuddled up watch Dwayne The Rock Johnson is a good night to me!

We lived house recently and have a sun terrace with patio heating. Love sitting there with pjs on surfing the net or catching up with my Husband.
