NOW CLOSED

It’s inevitable that clothes sometimes end up dirty and stained, and though you may have handy tips and tricks for removing stains, there might be some that fill you with dread. Fairy Non Bio would like to hear about the stains that you’re most scared of.

Here’s what Fairy Non Bio has to say: “We never want people to be afraid of wearing the clothes they love in case it gets stained. It’s our job to help. We want to know what are the really devilish stains that never seem to budge”.

Do you struggle with mud stains? Maybe your child wiping their hands down their clothes after eating greasy food fill you with dread? Perhaps baby poo stains are your nemesis? Or maybe it’s a spilt glass of wine that you worried may never come out?

Whatever the stains you’re most scared of, share them below to be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 voucher for a store of their choice (from a list).

Thanks and good luck!

Whenever I open blackcurrant cordial I find some of the big bottles have a pull top under the lid, pull too hard and the stuff sprays a little and it is goodbye white t-shirt. :-(

lynsmagoo · 11/07/2018 23:24

ink! 😢😢

Scrumptiousbears · 11/07/2018 23:33

Paint from nursery. They say it's washable but clearly not when I'm in charge of the laundry

MrsK1 · 12/07/2018 00:33

Sweat - it's the pits!! Grin.
Seriously though - dread getting them as it's a stain that doesn't shift and then the clothing is ruined or relegated to a lesser use and definately doesn't get hung outside!! Shock Blush

vomit stains - terrifies me

SilverHairedCat · 12/07/2018 06:50

All things foody and oily that I drip down my front. Olive oil. Salad dressing. Mayonnaise. Bolognese sauce. Arrabiata sauce. You name it.

I can get the colour stains out, but the grease mark is always there!

emmmaaa26 · 12/07/2018 08:53

Grass stains and any food stains.

Curry Stains

altergeist · 12/07/2018 11:31

The mysterious brown ones of unknown provenance, with no explanation proffered, and no explanation wanted.

Red wine is my ultimate nightmare stain. to the point I have banned it from my home

Jocelynne123 · 12/07/2018 12:26

ANYTHING on my carpet. We have just moved house and it has a lovely cream carpet. I know it's not going to last with kids and dogs but I'm trying 😂
Right now sun tan lotion is driving me insane xx

Curry and red wine stains are a nightmare to get out of fabric.

pixelwife · 12/07/2018 14:25

Grass stains. My son plays football and cricket and the stains from all the slide tackles etc are my nemesis!

Ikea1234 · 12/07/2018 14:30

Anything tomatoes based....pizza sauce, ketchup, pasta sauce....never quite seems to shift thoroughly...

strawberrisc · 12/07/2018 16:59

Soak the stain in remover straight away on both sides. If the stain is blood (my daughter recently had her HPV injection and it soaked onto her white school shirt) always wash in COLD water.

BRILLBY · 12/07/2018 17:32

Rust

anji2000 · 12/07/2018 19:12

Sharpies, blood and sweat. Sounds like a horror movie.

JoGodfray · 12/07/2018 19:16

Felt tip pens!! These are the only stubborn stains I just can't seem to get out of school shirts. So annoying.

CGORST · 12/07/2018 19:50

My nightmare stain is a curry stain. I ruined one of my favourite tops by getting just a small splash on it and however hard I tried to remove it, I failed. I eventually tried something which got some of the stain out, but also took some of the colour out so now it looks even more stupid than it did with a curry stain on it!!

mummymel19 · 12/07/2018 20:02

Tomato ketchup!

jayrdee · 12/07/2018 20:14

I find blood and acrylic type paint most troublesome

piggypoo · 12/07/2018 20:30

Red wine. I can never get this all out!

blue25 · 12/07/2018 20:32

Egg yolk and spaghetti hoops

Inyosi · 12/07/2018 20:35

Tomato based stains on white clothing!

ptak5566 · 12/07/2018 20:41

Sun tan lotion can be a night mare and ruins clothes.
