Doing the laundry can be a messy task - whether that’s getting rid of your children’s unexplained stains or dealing with the piles and piles of clean clothes when you’re done. Who would blame you for dreaming about the kind of space that could make it all seem a bit more manageable. With that in mind, Fairy Non Bio would like to hear about what would be in your dream laundry room.

Here’s what Fairy Non Bio has to say: “Did you know that the average mother spends 5 months of her life doing laundry? That’s a lot of pulling tissues out of pockets, separating loads and pairing socks! Imagine that you had your own separate laundry room. What would you want to make your life easier and nicer to spend time in?”

Would you have a separate washer and dryer? Or shelves for each family member’s clothes? Perhaps you’d have a fold down ironing board? Maybe you’d have everything - from appliances to airers - hidden away in cupboards?

Whatever would be in your dream laundry room, share it below to be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 voucher for the store of their choice (from a list).

Thanks and good luck!

Lots and lots of drying space

BrendasUmbrella · 01/04/2018 23:56

I would love a top loader washing machine and tumble dryer. Also a wall mounted ironing board, and space for a heated airer (maybe that's a bit greedy if I already have a tumble dryer...) Space for a row of family laundry baskets would be awesome too, so that everyone could collect their own clean clothes!

daisyduck123 · 02/04/2018 00:29

Somebody to do it all for me ! lol !
I'd like plenty of space, 2 washing machines, a tumble dryer and a hoist rack for drying. A large fold down ironing board and lots of cupboards

whitbyranger · 02/04/2018 04:45

Part from the washing machine and drier, I would love a fold away ironing board attached to the wall and plenty of well-planned shelfing and hanging rails.

callkiki · 02/04/2018 06:57

Big and organized with lots of counter space for folding, storage bins for out of season clothes and my washer, dryer and iron in the room

caygijan · 02/04/2018 08:43

I'd have a proper clothes steamer to make ironing easy and a rail to hang it on coat hangers so I could just carry it upstairs and put it away x

I would have much more room than I have right now! There would be shelves to neatly store washing detergents, fabric conditioner, clothes pegs etc room to sort and fold the clean washing and room to sort the dirty washing into the right category. Somewhere for the ironing to be done in there too would be brilliant

Laundry room would be a large airy room , with a nice window by the stainless steel sink and draining board
There will be a cupboard under the sink to keep the washing powder and other clutter
The counter top will be long enough to fold , and there will be a built in ironing board , ready to use to quickly iron when necessary
Under the counte there is space to keep laundry baskets
The back door will open to a neat path , which takes me out to the rotary washing line ( and there will be a nice warm breeze in the garden to dry clothes easily 😀)
There will be a nice efficient washing machine , and a seperate tumble dryer , enough space to move around easily , but not too much space as it’s too easy to shut the door on the mess and think about it later !

Would love to have room for a separate washer and dryer. Lots of drying space - oh I can dream!

rocketriffs · 02/04/2018 10:31

My dream laundry room would have some Disney cartoon woodland creatures doing all those tasks and chores for me while I dream of going to the ball to meet Prince Charming.

Leanfun · 02/04/2018 11:37

A washing machine and drier. Most of all a radiator in the room and a cot he horse or somewhere to hang clothes to dry naturally. Things to be ironed would be on hangers. Yes there’s always the thing that laundry rooms are in ground floor and clothes need to be brought down and go up again. All I can say is this is exercise.

lots of cupboards with surface space but a tall cupboard for the ironing board and iron. 2 washing machines a tumble dryer, an airing cupboard and a sink.

Jocelynne123 · 02/04/2018 12:19

I would love a laundry room that had a hidden cupboard for dirty clothes and shelves for clean clothes for each family member. Obviously a good washer a dryer. In my dreams it would have a machine that irons and folds the clothes too! Xx

Twiglet1983 · 02/04/2018 12:21

Oh boy, I saw a fantastic machine that ironed and folded all your clothes for you! I'd definitely have one of those! Huge cupboards for all the detergent etc plus superdooper washing machine and separate tumble dryer!

mummymel19 · 02/04/2018 12:22

Would be all the top of the range laundry gadgets, the best laundry detergents and lots of space

lovelyluckylass · 02/04/2018 12:34

An all in one magic cleaner!

Emmamaryd · 02/04/2018 12:44

Light clean space with plenty of storage cupboards and shelves. Top of the range washer, tumble drier and iron.

baileybarker · 02/04/2018 12:50

A laundry room is my absolute dream. When I visit family in Canada or have rented holiday homes in the USA, I am always so impressed with their laundry rooms. They are spacious with plenty of storage and the appliances are so much better than our U.K ones. In my dream laundry room, I would have a hanging rail with tangle proof hangers as I am fed up with wrestling them apart from their basket in the (junk) cupboard under the stairs..............sigh!!

mwatmough · 02/04/2018 12:54

Someone who loves ironing ;)

AutumnElla · 02/04/2018 13:41

I normally do all the sorting/ironing in the living room while watching a movie.

My perfect laundry room would have 2 washers, 2 dryers, plenty of storage and compartments for different things, a TV and a sofa.

Blondie1982 · 02/04/2018 13:54

Mine would be staffed with people to do the washing, ironing and even dry cleaning for me

womblelancs · 02/04/2018 14:04

I think I'd just like a housekeeper to do all the laundry for me. He or she can have whatever they like in the laundry room, just so long as I don't have to do it.

lucyrobinson · 02/04/2018 14:10

I'd love a large washing machine and tumble dryer. A huge airer. Lots of cupboards to store all my cleaners.

nanoobaku · 02/04/2018 14:25

a robot to put the washing in , take it out put it into the dryer and iron it in other words a mini me !!

myboycraig · 02/04/2018 15:12

I would want my laundry room separate from kitchen with a door (so I can't see). I would like it to have a big industrial style washing machine and dryer so all my washing is done in one go. If not too much to ask would also like a maid to do the laundry for me Grin
