Doing the laundry can be a messy task - whether that’s getting rid of your children’s unexplained stains or dealing with the piles and piles of clean clothes when you’re done. Who would blame you for dreaming about the kind of space that could make it all seem a bit more manageable. With that in mind, Fairy Non Bio would like to hear about what would be in your dream laundry room.

Here’s what Fairy Non Bio has to say: “Did you know that the average mother spends 5 months of her life doing laundry? That’s a lot of pulling tissues out of pockets, separating loads and pairing socks! Imagine that you had your own separate laundry room. What would you want to make your life easier and nicer to spend time in?”

Would you have a separate washer and dryer? Or shelves for each family member’s clothes? Perhaps you’d have a fold down ironing board? Maybe you’d have everything - from appliances to airers - hidden away in cupboards?

Whatever would be in your dream laundry room, share it below to be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 voucher for the store of their choice (from a list).

Thanks and good luck!

A 'Wallace & Gromit' style machine, where you put a person with dirty clothes in one end, and they come out having been washed and changed into newly cleaned & ironed clobber .

Failing that... a laundry room with a TV at a suitable ironing eye height.

And clips (adjustable) on the wall to help me fold large bedding neatly.

Laundry chute - get everything delivered straight to the laundry room!!

Doodygirl2009 · 31/03/2018 15:55

A room with plenty of storage so everything is hidden away and tidy but also has a lot of room to move around

sarahbrokenshire · 31/03/2018 16:29

Someone who would do all the washing for me :)

alison991 · 31/03/2018 18:25

An enormous laundry basket that sorted the washing automatically, an iroing robot and plenty of storage sapce

I am part way to having my dream laundry room in that the family are trained to put the dirty clothes in it. It just lacks the machine that will load/unload the washing machine, hang the washing outside but bring it in quickly if it starts to rain then sort the dried washing and deliver it to the various drawers and cupboards where cleaned laundry is stored.

IKnowWhenThatHotlineBling · 31/03/2018 22:00

Oh the dream, i would love a washer and a tumble dryer, plus a sink for the handwashing. I would also want basket for all different types of clothing and the much needed ironing board with a steam generator.

I must have a dab radio to keep me company too! xx

Obviously if it was a 'dream' laundry room then I'd love a little laundry robot to do all the washing, drying and ironing. If I can't have that then I'd love a washing machine, dryer, ironing board and a tv to watch while I try to get all the school uniforms cleaned and ironed.

Washer, dryer, airer and flat airer for delicates, baskets, lots of shelves, drop down ironing board, top-notch iron and a naked hunky assistant..

sootyo · 01/04/2018 10:01

Someone to do the laundry

Loftzilla · 01/04/2018 10:22

Staff to do the laundry! Failing that, a laundry ROOM would be a good start!

cheryl100 · 01/04/2018 11:48

I would love a laundry room that has a washer, dryer, chest freezer and space to iron! Lots of cupboards and worktop space would be great aswell

PhilTB54 · 01/04/2018 14:11

2 x wash m/c . 1 x T dryer and overhead drying racks. Most important someone other than me doing ALL the work.

cinabar · 01/04/2018 15:39

It is more about having the space to have laundry baskets for whites, delicates and colours, and a fold away ironing board, and a heated airer.

ggjacks · 01/04/2018 17:16

I would have a large capacity washer and drier, lots of cupboards (I dislike things "out"!) separate laundry bins for colours/ lights/ whites and delicates. Ironing is done in front of tv, so don't need provision for that in my laundry room! Oh and a range of detergents up to the job, that smell lovely. love my fairy non bio, and fairy fabric conditioner, and just found the fairy stain powder after seeing it in a vlog. Laundry smells makes me happy!

laurapotz · 01/04/2018 18:30

I would have a lovely warm room with decent ventilation. Lots of surface space, a top of the range washing machine and tumble dryer plus space to hang an airer. Ideally a good size airing cupboard would also be in the room plus a double sink. Oh one can but dream!

JBH316 · 01/04/2018 19:51

Aside from someone to do the laundry, I would have an all singing all dancing washer and dryer for me, separate ones for pet stuff along with industrial sized ones for duvets etc (How big is this hypothetical room?) I'd also have lots of cupboard space to store my fabric softener addiction stash. A good sized sink for pre soaking stuff.

chez1979 · 01/04/2018 19:52

My ideal laundry room would have colour coded washing baskets for each family member, meaning that once the laundry is done it is upto each family member to put away their own laundry

Kangakate · 01/04/2018 19:55

A washing machine, tumble dryer and folding machine and someone to do it all for me!

emmamcmahon · 01/04/2018 20:02

A gorgeous man wearing only an apron to do all the hard work for me!!

happymand · 01/04/2018 22:10

My dream laundry room would have a washing machine with the pull down door facility so you can add that odd sock that always manages to appear magically after you've put the washing machine on. It would have a drier and a pull down ironing board plus a folder to help fold all those clothes quickly. It would also have a demumidifier and a sink with a cupboard for all those many stain removers.

sofieellis · 01/04/2018 22:15

Mine would definitely have someone else to do the laundry - especially the ironing!

Tattybogle89 · 01/04/2018 22:43

Oh I have a tiny kitchen and would love just a simple utility room with space for a tumble drier, and a worktop area for folding clothes. Space to stand with the ironing board would be great and space for laundry baskets neatly stacked! A cupboard in there shelves out for all the washing lotions and potions and I’d be a very happy lady! Easy pleased but those things would make a big difference to the stress levels that occur around washing!!

Flickabella36 · 01/04/2018 22:45

Wow what a dream! I would love a washing bin system to pre sort the clothes, a washing machine, dryer, heated aired and a steam cupboard so no more ironing!

baconbap · 01/04/2018 23:11

staff to do the laundry
