With the new Peter Rabbit movie hopping into cinemas March 16, Sony Pictures and Mumsnet have teamed up to hide Peter Rabbit and his friends across the Mumsnet site for you to try and find. Follow the clues below and if you stumble across Peter Rabbit, post the URL of the page you found him on this page here and you will be entered into a prize draw to win a £500 Pets at Home voucher, plus a £250 Love2Shop voucher. Three runners up will also receive goody bags.

Clues:
1. It’s all go go go on this part of Talk – find the latest conversations and threads you can stalk
2. YABU or YANBU is the answer over here – it’s the part of Mumsnet that some people fear
3. Whether you like comedy or drama, we’ve got a movie – find the homepage and everything’s groovy
4. Talking about films is the key, and if you look closely there’s a clue to see
5. Whether you've got green fingers, or your plants keep dying – check this part of talk and you'll be flying
6. Find children's book recommendations here, so when bedtime comes you're in the clear

We are also offering you the chance to win an extra £300 voucher of your choice (from a list) by sharing with us the made up lives and/or personalities you or your children have for your pets. “If you want to find out more about what pets get up to, why not book your child a place on one of Pets at Home’s fantastic FREE My Pet Pals workshops? Book your place now by clicking here

Has your DC ever made up a whole story as to what their pet’s life was like before it came into your home? Perhaps they imagine that all pets can speak to each other in a secret language that humans can’t understand? Maybe when you were a child, you imagined that your pet would go on all sorts of adventures when you were out and they would come back and tell you about them?

Whatever the lives/personalities you or your DC have for your pet, share them with us on the thread below and you will be entered into a prize draw for the chance to win a £300 voucher of your choice (from a list).

Thanks and good luck

Hello MNers Smile

Thank you to everyone who has posted both their pet stories as well as where you've found Peter Rabbit and his friends.

Unfortunately the was a glitch in the competition link which was where you were supposed to post where you found Peter Rabbit and his friends. I have now amended the OP to include this link, so for all future entries please click on the link to enter.

To everyone who has already posted on the thread, I have entered you all into the competition so there is no need for you to do it again.

Please keep the great stories about the imaginary lives you have for your pets coming Smile

Many Thanks

I found him here
www.mumsnet.com/films we don't have monsters in our house because at night, Fudge( the dog) patrols around the house, under beds and in cupboards to scare them away lol

GloGirl · 22/02/2018 22:20

Vouchers would be nice but I really hope I get a goody bag! My son loves Lilly from the TV shows, is she featured in the movies?

We got our pets from direct from breeders but we always give our dog a very dappy, high pitched, breathy sort of voice. Bit like Scooby Doo I suppose! He is always getting up to mischief when we're not home.

OtterInDisgrace · 23/02/2018 02:38

Can we just have some clarification on one point, please? Is it only one finding/entry per person? Because I’ve found Pete and his mates lots of times and posted them all on here. I don’t want to get disqualified!

We don't have any pets at the moment but the DC often pretend we do. We've had all sorts from tortoises in the garden to sheep in the bedroom! They make up elaborate tales about what they are up to, what they are called, what they look like etc. Really vivid imaginations!!

TellMeItsNotTrue · 23/02/2018 08:54

A very cute little pig can be found dancing in Active Conversations

All our pets have had personalities and even different voices, we currently have a quiet hamster that has discos when he thinks we are all asleep, if you lie very still and quiet sometimes you can fall asleep hear the music Wink works a treat!

libra101 · 23/02/2018 11:25

Our children used to think that a lovely dog we used to have (a rough collie) was chasing rabbits when he slept. We enjoyed exploring the woods with him and he loved digging in ditches and anything muddy. When deeply sleeping, his paws would start twitching as though he was raring to be off, and the children thought he was dreaming of being back in the woods.

My daughter has an imaginary friend who gets up to all kinds of mischief- She has a very active life, always dashing off to climb mountains or go to a party. In nursery they even asked us about her 'sister' and why they never saw her!

Found him There!
My 3yo likes to pretend the cat is guilty of plenty...apparently the cat opens curtains and hides sweets in her room while we're out.... Wink

DS2 is big into Paw Patrol, so we like to imagine our whippet puppy as one of Rider’s pups. Except he’d be the one missing out on the adventures as he’s too busy sleeping on the sofa. When he is awake, and only if there was food involved, he’d catch up with them all super fast - so fast he’d run straight past them and do a clumsy skid/roly poly. He’d also whine about needing to be on one of the people’s laps.

Inappropriately!

Our dog has a very specific voice. his personality is a bit thick and sounds a little bit like Homer Simpson. We use his voice all the time to get the kids to stop arguing as they find it so funny and its a great distraction.

ffsetc · 24/02/2018 17:00

When my (teen) kids realised our cockapoo was turning 5 in the summer they began talking about him starting primary school, and I'd just play along. We'd have very earnest conversations about if he'd be scared of the foot measurer in Clark's and whether he should get four school shoes or just two. Would "the other boys" realise his trousers were actually shorts, could the head have a special assembly to explain to the other kids why he was furryGrin. They had me in absolute stitches. If my son gets home from school and B is snoring in his basket he'll make a comment like 'ah, Did he have PE today?'

Our DC like to imagine the fun our chickens have while we are at work school. Think dangerous rescue missions/tea parties with cups and saucers/international travel - the list is endless!

I've found Peter Rabbits Hiding Place

My 6 & 7 year olds are convinced that our rabbit Alvin is the Easter Bunnys helper and that he is magically let out his cage at Easter in the night and helps deliver the eggs to any child in our road (theres a bunny map so any pet bunnies get given a road or 2 to deliver to) they say that he rides a skateboard with the eggs on the back in a bag. My partner made it more magical when he said he thought saw a bunny riding a skateboard last night and he must of imagined it coz bunnies dont ride skateboards (after i slyly told him their idea when they were sleeping) the morning of Easter to make it even more magical for them we let the rabbit out the cage and loaded their eggs on their old skateboard and hid food on the board so the rabbit climbed aboard and sat eating so when they came out 5 mins later he was sitting on it surrounded by eggs waiting for them with his cage door open as proof Grin well kids grow up too quickly so feeding their imaginations lets them be kids for longer !!!! Wink

Here’s Peter doing a conga!
www.mumsnet.com/films

We lost one of our dogs in August so DD and I talk about her a lot and what she used to do.

With our other dog she often pretends he’s a monster or we imagine him going to soft play. She also likes to include him as a player in board games (basically she gets extra goes).

vickyors · 25/02/2018 15:07

Found him here..! www.mumsnet.com/films

And our kids make up stories before bed- or at least, my eldest does. We have a story which always starts that's that we are walking down the road to school, and the dog, Thadie, barks and calls us over to a round wooden door in the ground (imagine Lord of the Rings), and we go all over the world in tunnels with the dog as our guide- and obviously Princess Poppy the lab is our guide. (I know- what a ridiculous name!)

fleshmarketclose · 25/02/2018 17:30

Our beloved dog Eric has a big personality. Dd also gives him a voice, he's got a cockney accent apparently Hmm and "he" tells us what he has been up to. Generally he gives us a commentary on his love life with his many bitches. He complains that Dolly plays hard to get and Elsa (his Spanish love interest) is sharing her favours with the Yorkie next door. He also shares his thoughts on various breeds of dog he meets out and about and what he'd like to do with them if he wasn't only 12 inches tall and a big wimp.

I found Peter rabbit here!

Our dog is a Romanian rescue - he’s 1 now and we’ve had him 8 months.
The dc believe that he doesn’t speak English because he likes to ignore us a lot! They’ve decided he must be a spy and is sending back information about UK dogs to his Romanian gang. The plan is to teach all the dogs here Romanian and forget English so they can all ignore their owners and be wild dogs!

So whenever he meets another dog on a walk and starts woofing or yapping the dc say oh he’s at it again! Trying to recruit that westie! And of course on the beach today he had a whole group of little terriers following him in a line and the dc thought it was hilarious!

I found Peter Rabbit at the bottom of this page! www.mumsnet.com/Talk/am_i_being_unreasonable

Would love a voucher to spend on my animals!

MakeTeaNotWar · 27/02/2018 11:42

Mine think the cats have amazing social lives and party hard once the rest of the house is asleep. This is in fact true though and not imaginary.....

SuzCG · 27/02/2018 12:51

Our labrador is lazy & greedy and I can't imagine her having any life other than the one she leads where she sleeps all night, eats, lazes in her bed all day apart when when we're out walking and then sleeps again till her next feed...
The only time she gets excited is when she sees or smells squirrels - so I think her fantasy life would involve being a squirrel catcher!
The kids do like to pretend her ears are motorbike handles and 'rev' them up and make engine noises. She's very patient...

claza93 · 01/03/2018 06:58

I found him in the bottom right hand corner here www.mumsnet.com/films

My daughter likes to imagine our dog Buddy as a super spy that solves lots of crimes and goes on mini missions

Cotswoldmama · 01/03/2018 17:24

My sister had an imaginary dog called Luno. I used to look after her a lot when she was little and I remember once walking to the shop and she kept stopping. After the about the third time I asked her what she was doing, she was sort of fiddling with her fingers. Apparently she was letting him off his lead! I think he was a naughty dog as she had to keep shouting his name angrily! I think she was about 3 at the time. We realised after a while that she stopped mentioning him and asked her where he went and she didn’t know what we were talking about!
