With the new Peter Rabbit movie hopping into cinemas March 16, Sony Pictures and Mumsnet have teamed up to hide Peter Rabbit and his friends across the Mumsnet site for you to try and find. Follow the clues below and if you stumble across Peter Rabbit, post the URL of the page you found him on this page here and you will be entered into a prize draw to win a £500 Pets at Home voucher, plus a £250 Love2Shop voucher. Three runners up will also receive goody bags.

Clues:
1. It’s all go go go on this part of Talk – find the latest conversations and threads you can stalk
2. YABU or YANBU is the answer over here – it’s the part of Mumsnet that some people fear
3. Whether you like comedy or drama, we’ve got a movie – find the homepage and everything’s groovy
4. Talking about films is the key, and if you look closely there’s a clue to see
5. Whether you've got green fingers, or your plants keep dying – check this part of talk and you'll be flying
6. Find children's book recommendations here, so when bedtime comes you're in the clear

We are also offering you the chance to win an extra £300 voucher of your choice (from a list) by sharing with us the made up lives and/or personalities you or your children have for your pets. “If you want to find out more about what pets get up to, why not book your child a place on one of Pets at Home’s fantastic FREE My Pet Pals workshops? Book your place now by clicking here

Has your DC ever made up a whole story as to what their pet’s life was like before it came into your home? Perhaps they imagine that all pets can speak to each other in a secret language that humans can’t understand? Maybe when you were a child, you imagined that your pet would go on all sorts of adventures when you were out and they would come back and tell you about them?

Whatever the lives/personalities you or your DC have for your pet, share them with us on the thread below and you will be entered into a prize draw for the chance to win a £300 voucher of your choice (from a list).

Thanks and good luck

At the bottom of the page :) we have two cats, one isn't really sociable but likes to sit on my knee, the other is so daft! We always make up voices and pretend were talking and wonder whether they think we're mad!

My dc say our cat is going to work when she leaves the house in the morning. She works as mouse patrol for our house. (She actually never catches a thing and spends most of her day asleep! Andshe comes in at night!)

sirlee66 · 21/02/2018 13:31

Wahoo! Been looking for that sneaky bunny for days! www.mumsnet.com/Talk/am_i_being_unreasonable

Our cat, Lola, who we call 'The Juan' (hw-one) or 'Little Juan' is our 'first born' fur baby. The original. When we first got her, we used to make up stories about her night time adventures (most of the time she was the criminal... but I think that might be a post for a different thread!)

Anyway, The best story of The Juan is how she prowl the streets with all her cat mob friends (Obviously she's the leader) in search of fallen baby birds and helps them learn to fly back to their nest. (particularly ironic as she loves to hunt the poor birds). She's got herself in many comical positions teaching them (think dumbo when he's learning to fly) the best one was borrowing some fairy wings from one of the neighbours children and using them as a prop. She obviously hides them in the tree outside our house before she comes home for dinner. Otherwise it would be embarrassing..

So that's why I could see the dancing bunnies on AIBU!

My children tend to ignore the real dog that we have in favour of an imaginary kitten. No doubt if we had a kitten, they'd ask for a puppy instead!

When my DC was small we had some ponies - one was called Pie and he'd definitely been a hairdresser in a previous life who'd done yoga - he used to do a full stretch of both front legs even when you were sitting on him!

Our other one was a Yorkshire Dales black pony, Dyl, who'd previously been a Hells Angel - he was a bit of a thug. He loved the female ponies and liked to round them up into his 'hareem' to 'protect' them from the other boys.

We also had a border collie x corgi dog called Blue who had a hidden identity as she was a spy who was fluent in Russian. She and our other dog, a springer spaniel, who drove a clowns car [you know, the one with the horn and the doors that popped off] would secretly travel into our local town at night to play poker.

My daughter thinks our dog is a superhero who runs daycare. She thinks he sits in the sandpit or on a chair watching all the other dogs and making sure they do what he says. (I’m not entirely sure that’s not actually true!)

OtterInDisgrace · 21/02/2018 20:46

Found him here doing a jig with his mate. That Peter Rabbit does dance in the most inappropriate places!

My DD adores Peter Rabbit. She loves the original, the TV show and we are planning to see the film. She even had a Peter Rabbit birthday cake last year.

Loved the little conga line on this page! Grin

My daughter actually wrote entire book about what her and our pet Jinx got up to on a snowy adventure back in 2014. He doesn't speak to her but he does have his own sounds, just like he did in real life before he was sadly run over and passed away. She knows these sounds in the story and what they mean because they are genuinely what he meant when he used them in real life. Sounds he made that referred to her as sister, or help etc. He does all the things he did in real life, like licking her hair or sitting on her shoulder.

The story of Jinx for her began a year before we found the real Jinx and she made mini book after mini book of his adventures. When we found the real cat we ended up bringing his big brother home too although Thackery hasn't made his way into any of her stories yet but she does have ideas of what their adventures would be like. Jinx is a bit of a 'fraidy' cat until he needs to rescue his big sister (my daughter) and then he suddenly gains a great strength. I always thought that was really sweet as he was the littlest in the litter and the most passive of the kittens we saw.

We don't have any pets these days - much to animal crazy Dd's disgust. But, naturally, she wants a Pug and a Unicorn and a Dragon. I'd have a Dragon or Unicorn but, I don't like Pugs.

Solo · 21/02/2018 22:58

Megansmumsie IMHO, you should win. Love the artwork too.

We have two guinea pigs and my daughter adores play with them. She says they came from other planet and have super magic powers. When she give them leaves she says that this is to build up their magic.
It teaches her to take care of her animals and spend some quality time together.

My dd has made up careers for our dog and our dogs ‘friends’ who she meets on her walks. Her narration of these dogs drives us crazy.

Our dog is, in dd’s world, an estate agent because whenever we come home she races round the house. In and out of every room. Dd will say “here is the kitchen, and the stairs and here’s the bathroom and ten stairs again and have you seen the kitchen, oh and the stairs”

Our dogs friend Daisy is a masseuse. She will come up to you and sort of pummel you like a cat.

Ellie works at the airport checking for contraband. “And what’s in this pocket madam, I’ll just need to check if you don’t mind”

Poppy is a judge. She will sort out any disagreements and decide who is right and who needs to be taught a lesson.

There is a pond in our park and Bella works for the environmental department, checking the mud levels by selflessly throwing herself into the pond and solemnly walking out again. “Yes, still muddy” dd will inform the other dogs.

Found him here.

Our piggie Rex is a grumpy old man who moans at everyone he sees. He has a gravelly, deep voice and swears a lot. The DC are teens now but still laugh at the tales I tell about Rex's awful language. Grin

Just seen the bit about pets. I’ve always had cats, I love them so.

Our last cat was nicknamed Digger Barnes because she’d dig in anything and everything and my other half said it looked like she was digging for oil. Now the Digger Barnes reference will only make sense to those of a certain age who used to watch Dallas. So in Dallas digger Barnes was Jock ewing’s Old oil digging associate who jock fucked over at some point, can’t remember how that went down.

But anyway. Digger was a loser who apart from the first years with jock never really found oil again. And our old girl was always digging away and never struck oil and thus she became digger Barnes.

Honestly it was hilarious at the time but I can see how it wouldn’t translate, particularly with today’s modern audiences.

Snort. Digger Barnes still makes me laugh, though.

My family's always had cats and they've always had 'personalities' - my mum's current cat is a suave French gentleman and whenever he vanishes for a couple of days he's off seducing ladies and smoking Gauloises (in reality he moves in with the neighbours but it's much more fun to think of him drinking a tiny cat-sized bottle of red wine with a beautiful lady cat!)

Raahh · 22/02/2018 12:18

We have a miniature schnauzer. I talk to him all the time. I'm always asking him what he's up to. I leave gaps in the conversation for him to respond- but he never does. I carry on a running commentary of where we are walking. (I'm clearly too used to do this with the dc, though my youngest is ).

He looks at me under his big bushy eyebrows like I'm talking gibberish, which is probably true.

Peter Rabbit is here: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/films

When the DC were younger they used to imagine what the guinea pigs used to say to each other, when they were squeaking. They always thought that the female pig gave the male pig a hard time, as she seemed quite domineering and bossy. They used to imagine that she was telling him that he'd left the bedroom in a mess, had pooed in the wrong place and needed to get out, while she tidied up!!!!
