Valentines Day and Mother’s Day are on the horizon and whether you celebrate them or not, it can be a great time to share your love and gratitude to friends, family members and/or partners. With that in mind, Card Factory would love you to visit their website here and pick out your favourite items, whether that’s cards, gifts, flowers or balloons and post them on the thread.

Here’s what Card Factory have to say: “Giving a gift can make any occasion even more special and at Card Factory, you can find something they’ll love from just £1.99. We’ve got fantastic high street and personalised gifts available, as well as more unusual presents like balloon bouquets. Whatever the celebration, you’re bound to find something perfect.”

As well as posting your favourite items from Card Factory, we would also love you to share your gift giving tips. Do you always ensure either the card or gift is personalised to make it that extra bit special? Do you prefer to surprise them with a gift you think they’ll love or ask them exactly what they want? Or maybe you always ensure the wrapping is set to impress.

Whatever your favourite gifts and gift giving tips are, share them on the thread below and you will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 voucher voucher of their choice (from a list). PLUS 5 MNers will win the item they’ve picked from Card factory!

Thanks and good luck!

I lost my Mum last year and felt lost when Mothers Day came last year. I'd buy this candle:

Personalise it for Mum and light it to remember her.

These king and queen key rings are brilliant fun www.cardfactory.co.uk/personalised/personalised-king-and-queen-keyring-set.htm
I love giving gifts and cards, and find any excuse to do so. I really enjoy choosing a surprise gift for someone, it’s such fun.
Love easy to use web site and easy pricing to choose from.

I like the Card Factory very much. The balloons are good value and I like their choice of gift bags and boxes along with the array of cards they sell.

My favourite gift after looking through their website is this jewellery box.
However my daughter likes the plaques and always buys them for her friends.

In my local store the staff deserve a mention too - always have a happy smile 😀

I like card factory because they sell nice cards at good prices. I normally buy a large few at a time to cover all upcoming birthdays,
I've never really looked at their website, but just having a look now, I really like this - www.cardfactory.co.uk/gifts/multi-photo-upload-circus-photos-print.htm

Love the ‘I Love You’ Script Foil Helium Balloon.
I always go for personalised. People love personalised presents even if just a card.

Card factory is great to go to for balloons. I bought a 5ft tall spiderman balloon for a 30th birthday present and it was brilliant though tricky to walk along the street with!

I always make my own cards to personalise them but find card factory great for badges, wrapping paper and other accessories.

I absolutely love giving candles like the one pictured above as theres nothing nicer than chilling out with that someone special and having a lovely scented candle lit. I also find that you can gift them to anyone including men as there are so many personalised and different scents available. I also think a card is important for any occasion just to let someone know you are thinking of them

I really like the personalised tie holder would be a lovely gift for my husband and give him somewhere to store his ties neatly I have never seen one before. I didn’t know card factory did on line orders and personalised gifts. I love how cheap card factory is I buy all my cards from there if I can they are lovely quality as well. My top tip is to stock up on a variety of cards on the 7 or 10 for a pound offers then if you forget a birthday you are always prepared. I love to give personalised gifts for family like photo mugs or framed pictures. I recently have bought some lovely personalised key rings of a seller on eBay which are lovely and quite cheap. I find these sort of gifts are lovely for people who are hard to buy for

I love going to Card Factory at the start of the month (or week depending how organised I:m feeling!) with a list of upcoming birthdays. I then choose cards suitable for everyone from their lovely selection. I would much rather buy a non personalised card and write it myself than order a personalised one which is printed inside.

My favourite gift is this personalised jar of retro sweets, My husband would love it!

Balloon in a box is a perfect addition for a bigger birthday I find & a bargain price to boot £3.99.
Love card factory generally. The cards are such good value. Like their diaries, my daughter always likes their cuddly toys & pens they have by the till.
Great shop. Don't kno what I used to do before it!

www.cardfactory.co.uk/gifts/photo-upload-messenger-bag-three-photos.htm I quite like this for my daughter as she feels she is grown up enough to have her own bag! As far as gift giving goes, I much prefer to be told what people actually want - so I ask for a list!

It's not somewhere that I usually shop but I do like the personalised notebooks - I might try one of the A4 hardback ones.

I do like beautifully wrapped gifts and try to make gifts look special.

This is a perfect gift from Card Factory - [{https://www.cardfactory.co.uk/gifts/mothers-day-gifts/porcellana-photo-frame-in-gift-box.htm Frame }]

Looks lovely and a nice price for anyone to pick up and put a photo in of family.

With cards I tend to buy the 5 for £5 or if for my partner I hand make them with my boys for him usually with a theme on. Makes both of them happy.

Gift giving depends on the person, I either try and remember something they've mentioned, check out wishlists or a voucher for a favourite shop.
My wrapping skills are terrible which OH finds so amusing plus means he does most of it.

I love Card Factory and in fact bought a balloon from there last weekend for an ocassion. I think I would like 3 red hellium hearts for valentines day! Sorry I know that's terribly boring. I did see a light up wand in there last weekend with hearts all over I thought the kids would enjoy that too!

I love the solid, slate look items but this would be my favourite as it is so versatile and beautiful to look at year after year no matter if you keep the same photo or change it at any time www.cardfactory.co.uk/personalised/personalised-medium-slate-photo-frame.htm

I love it when beautiful wrapping is used even just tissue paper and often use complimentary colours so tissue paper often comes out tops. Love the glitter card factory uses that doesn't come off at every touch (just hope it's not going to be found to be bad for the planet in years to come as this keeps happening with so many choices we get used to buying).

If I am stuck and often I am for presents to new parents or engagements or wedding's of people I am not close with I think a bottle of champagne is often a great choice. It is extravagant a recognised use in a celebration and for sure I WOULD LOVE TO GET IT TOO. My moto is if you would like it yourself you will not go far wrong , and this lovely gift from the card factory allows you to send 2 personalized glasses with the champagne...perfect. www.cardfactory.co.uk/personalised/personalised-crystal-champagne-flutes-swirls-set-of-2.htm

I'd love someone to buy me the Photo Personalised Messenger Bag so I could have my family with me wherever I go.

When I buy gifts I buy things people wouldn't buy themselves or I listen to things they've said in the past on tv or in catalogs eg "I'd like that set of unicorn shape pancake maker" or "aren't those photoframes lovely" because 9/10 it really surprises them that I remembered them saying it and sometimes they don't want to spend money on something thats non essential but they'd really have fun or enjoy having it !

The personalised note books are nice. I love gift giving. If buying something requested I like to make sure there are a few requested items so they don’t know what they are getting but also buy a little something extra on the side. It’s very rare that I get it wrong and as I tend to mostly be gift giving for family they would say if I had!
