Valentines Day and Mother’s Day are on the horizon and whether you celebrate them or not, it can be a great time to share your love and gratitude to friends, family members and/or partners. With that in mind, Card Factory would love you to visit their website here and pick out your favourite items, whether that’s cards, gifts, flowers or balloons and post them on the thread.

Here’s what Card Factory have to say: “Giving a gift can make any occasion even more special and at Card Factory, you can find something they’ll love from just £1.99. We’ve got fantastic high street and personalised gifts available, as well as more unusual presents like balloon bouquets. Whatever the celebration, you’re bound to find something perfect.”

As well as posting your favourite items from Card Factory, we would also love you to share your gift giving tips. Do you always ensure either the card or gift is personalised to make it that extra bit special? Do you prefer to surprise them with a gift you think they’ll love or ask them exactly what they want? Or maybe you always ensure the wrapping is set to impress.

Whatever your favourite gifts and gift giving tips are, share them on the thread below and you will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 voucher voucher of their choice (from a list). PLUS 5 MNers will win the item they’ve picked from Card factory!

Thanks and good luck!

I love the photo wall art. Whilst browsing the website I never knew the card factory sold such a variety of gifts. I particularly like the wall art as it arrives framed and ready to display.

I like to give something which my husband wouldn't normally buy for himself, whether it's luxurious or something practical and useful.

As a side note, I do really like this photo frame! The price is fantastic and a photo could be added to it for a nice personal touch.

It was difficult to pick my favourite but I absolutely love this!!

My daughter is just 19 weeks old but hopefully someone will buy me one on her behalf!! Maybe a task to whittle it down to just 4 photos out of millions though 😂

Balloons here too!
Every birthday we buy the big holographic number balloons. We take photos with them and they come with us everywhere for that day (including the car!)

I really love these photo upload cushions www.cardfactory.co.uk/gifts/personalised-photo-upload-cushion.htm. I had one made once before for my daughter with a photo of her and Benedict Cumberbatch when she met him. I was the best mum ever for doing that lol.

As for general gift giving, I always like to get something personal to that person. It doesn't have to be personalised as such, but I do try to go out of my way to find something that relates in some way to the things they like, whether that be a film or tv show or a book or a place they've visited or a hobby.

I love card factory. The cards are always lovely and such a good price. I keep a small stash of their birthday cards in my cupboard for any party invites the kids get.

Love their soft toys too - so lovely and soft, really good quality for the price. I’ve just bought the Tiny Treasures Donkey for a friends baby - so cute and good value.

On our family, our day, our lives really, revolve around endless cups of tea! I always get my parents a comedy/personalised mug for birthdays/Mother's Day/Father's Day etc, and it's always a hit!
The super special ones are never used and kept in The Glass Cabinet! I'm hoping my DC carry on the mug tradition and I receive something like this in the future!

The balloon bouquets look brilliant, THIS one would be perfect for Valentines Day

I make sure I'm prepared by sorting birthdays in one go the month before (buy cards this month for next months birthdays etc) gets it all over and done with in one go and means I'm not panicking when I turn the calendar over and see a birthday in the first few days the month.

I always get stuck on what to buy my Dad for birthday/fathers day/Christmas, but I spotted this www.cardfactory.co.uk/personalised/personalised-vintage-year-luxury-wooden-wine-box.htm and it's vintage just like him, he would love it.

I'd love a balloon bouquet. I get terrible hayfever so it's a welcome novelty.

I think when it comes to gifts, personal items always go down much better than expense. A personalised card for example themed to the person's hobbies or interest. Always like them to be a bit cheeky too!

I know someone who would love one of the dog in a box gifts. As a mum and grandma I have been given lots of these sorts of gifts. It is always difficult to get rid of anything given with love but I do prefer a gift that doesn't last too long or else you accumulate too much clutter. I do like mugs with photos or personalised diaries or calendars though

I adore the personalised gifts from the teddies, glasses and mugs and frames. These are more meaningful and thoughtful gifts I think from the person. I also love the huge variety of cards at great affordable prices to suit everyone's budget. And you can't go wrong with there range of helium balloons which I've always purchased for birthdays and christenings. My local store make them look very fancy when adding ribbons. I've also bought hen party items as well such as sashes, hats and other little items for games. I buy everything from this store as they have everything I need under one roof and the products are excellent quality and value for money. I know I'm supposed to share a link but there's just to much for me to choose from.

I love giving photo upload calendars to both sets of grandparents. They love them and it’s a great gift to buy for them as there’s not much they say they want or need, so tricky to buy for. Lovely memories to look at every day and each month a different picture. Also it’s a useful gift.
