The time has come round yet again for the Insight team at MNHQ to host our annual round up of the year, to plead for those of you not yet on our panel to sign up and to thank you all for taking part in some amazing projects this year! Xmas Smile

After 10 years at Mumsnet, I am logging off and leaving at the end of the year - will def be on the ‘other side’ and keeping an eye on the team. It’s been amazing at MNHQ - seeing the site grow and develop and to work with a great team but time for a change for me personally.

Read on for the chance to win...

~ A Thule Urban Glide running buggy worth £435 Grin or
~ A ‘Christmas All Wrapped Up’ mixed case of wine from Virgin Wines - worth £116.87 or
~ The Marie Claire Skincare Edit from Fabled worth £79 (containing £120 worth of products - ELEMIS Pro Collagen Marine Cream SPF 30, Erborian CC Crème, Dr. Hauschka Lip Balm and Caudalie Beauty Elixir) or
~ A Sanctuary Spa hamper worth £50 or
NEW ~ A year of Soreen worth £70 (52 x £1.35 vouchers for your choice of their squidgy loaves) or
NEW ~ An "Advance Daysack" – worth £75 - from Ski Weekend - they say "a stylish and technical daypack with several compartments and branded with Ski Weekend and Advance Logos. A must have for anyone in need of transporting your kit for an active lifestyle!" Find out more about Ski Weekend (Ski Operators for 30 years, they offer a personal service tailoring Ski breaks in and around Chamonix, Mont Blanc - with a chalet which is ideal for large family and friends groups and is great for kids) here

In 2017, we have given away over £53,000 in prizes - mainly in the form of vouchers in exchange for sharing feedback, completing a short survey or for simply sharing a tip on a thread Smile.

This year we have all been thrilled to see the Mumsnet Rated badge really gaining momentum - have you seen it on products like Birds Eye frozen chicken, Arla Big Milk, Hedrin Once etc? We have also loved getting your houses sparkly with Buster, and Dettol, having some fun with Count Olaf and Netflix and scoffing trying Soreen mini loaves (they sent soooo much to MNHQ).

For a chance to win one of the above prizes, please do one of the below

a) Share on this thread what you have enjoyed taking part in this year, or appreciated reading about OR
b) Tell us on this thread what you’d like to product test next year OR
c) Join the panel - where you'll have the opportunity to share your views with MNHQ on a variety of topics and with the companies we work with and chances to win vouchers OR
d) Follow us or retweet one of our tweets over on twitter page @MumsnetInsight

  • NB if you do c or d post on this thread to let us know you’ve done it to be entered into the draws!

Most of the product tests, surveys etc are on site but we also do a lot of projects with our lovely insight research panel, as well as often giving them the heads up about the latest things and chances to win on site. If you are not yet on our panel please do sign up now. You can select how often you get emailed and you can leave at any time if it’s not for you.

Thanks as ever for your time and feedback - all very much welcome Xmas Smile

Happy Christmas! Xmas Grin

Joined the panel. Would definitely like some post baby sports bras, something that doesn't squish your boobs between feeds but still gives support. If that even exists!

Cupcakeicecream · 17/12/2017 10:42

I really enjoyed taking part in the product tests. I was selected to take part in the Moshi monsters I chose it specifically as I have a child of the relevant age who loved receiving the letters and products. We had fun creating the crafts and talking about what we liked most. It was a good family friendly activity thank you again

MummyBtothree · 17/12/2017 12:05

I have really enjoyed taking part in product tests, the tomato ketchup, Soltan sun cream and Fanta to name three off the top of my head. During this time I also joined Twitter and started following Mumsnet and have been enjoying interacting through that. Looking forward to Mumsnet and everything it brings in the new year Smile

Olinguito · 17/12/2017 12:27

I'd like to test chocolate and other foods, drinks, household gadgets or beauty products. I don't have small children any more, so tests aimed at some of your older members would be great! I've really enjoyed the free film screenings.

MakeTeaNotWar · 17/12/2017 12:35

I always enjoy the surveys, like knowing I've contributed to a marketing or advertising stratgey

ImogenHeat · 17/12/2017 15:17

I'd love to test:
A robotic vacuum cleaner
A robotic lawn mower
A cordless steam mop or even just a spray mop or whatever seems good - the really short cord on my steam mop means I'm unplugging every 30 seconds!
A bladeless fan
The pelvic floor exerciser I missed out on this year
A running buggy! Grin

kateandme · 17/12/2017 15:20

i loved the testing of recipes for lamb via being sent the Tesco vouchers.
and the dinsey themed ak products.
lots of the product tests seem to be big ticket items that could always be done for some so id love to have smaller objects we can all go in for trying.

Natsai1 · 17/12/2017 16:06

I liked Reading about the google home and Tefal product trials. Really sorry I wasn’t chosen for those. Would love to test a carpet cleaner, a that actually works especially with two messy kids and cream carpets! Or a holiday😁. Following you on Twitter

Maiyakat · 17/12/2017 16:58

I enjoyed testing the Nokia thermometer, who knew taking a temperature could be so technical! Also enjoyed trying out selling on ebay, made hardly any money though so haven't done it again since.

firsttimekat · 17/12/2017 17:13

I'd like to test some of the preschool apps for reading or maths skills. There are so many it's hard to know whether they are any good so I'd really value some proper mum feedback. Or better still a spa day that fits in with the school run.

Sierra259 · 17/12/2017 17:33

We really enjoyed the Little Dish product testing.

I would love to test a Kitchen Aid or some more recipe ideas.

StillNoFuckingEyeDeer · 17/12/2017 20:16

I'd love to test a condenser tumble dryer, running shoes or meal kits/veg boxes.

lunar1 · 17/12/2017 20:34

I a absolutely loved testing the google home, I've since take out a google play subscription and we use it constantly. I've done other tests I've loved but the google one is different because it's not something I'd ever considered I'd need. I've bought two as Christmas gifts.

I'd love to test the dyson hair dryer or some decent earphones that don't fall out of me ears!

lunar1 · 17/12/2017 20:35

Good luck Ann, I'll miss your emails!

cuddlymunchkin · 17/12/2017 20:46

Joined the panel. I'd love to test bigger products like a drone or smaller ones like food or maybe experiences like the shred one in London.

cuddlymunchkin · 17/12/2017 20:47

Shrek not shred!

hanliying · 17/12/2017 20:53

i enjoyed the smurf movie with kids most! Would like to see more movie premier next year. Thanks!

hayli · 17/12/2017 22:08

Took part in testing jhonsonscbaby lotion. Ive always been a bit miff about j&j products and never till now used any on my baby. Reading the thread about it drawed me in to give a go. And surprise surprise worked a treat on my childs skin!
would love to take part testing slow cooker or an air fryer

Nicnak27 · 17/12/2017 22:30

As a newbie to the panel, I (they!) would love to test kids perfume. Why!? Because I'm having to lock away my expensive smellies from my beautiful girly girls!!!! but unsure what to buy thats light, fresh, wont bring them out in a rash and in a princess bottle!

Sagethyme · 17/12/2017 22:31

Really enjoyed taking part in the gusto recipe box, and the timing for that was brilliant as it was over halfterm and I had cooking fatigue!
I'd love to test cooking equipment, as I need to find an indestructible blender! Also child related technology especially if anyone develops a child freindly watch!

ScaryMary81 · 18/12/2017 01:01

I loved testing the Sanctuary Wet Skin Moisturizer, it saves me so much time, and loved the enclosed two mini samples which I gave to my mum and sister.

Havetohaveanewchufffingaccount · 18/12/2017 07:40

Oh the cake.... the cake trial was great. 👍😂

I would love to test some family board games, especially now my children are getting older

EvilDoctorBallerinaRoastDuck · 18/12/2017 10:58

Oh The Smurfs! I'd forgotten about that! We can't afford to go to the cinema, and it was DS2's first ever time. It really helped that they provided free popcorn and water too. We all loved the movie, "Paranoid Smurf" has pride of place on our dining table! Xmas Grin

haveacupoftea · 18/12/2017 11:27

I'd love to test bras for my massive saggy post baby boobs!

I enjoyed the Aveeno baby test and still use the cream on DS dry skin. Looking forward to trying the HiPP baby food. I also liked the thread about My First Savse because I know to steer clear of it now!

AnnMumsnet · 18/12/2017 11:30

Thanks for all the kind comments - have had such fun with testers and events over the years - with @kbear in her sequin dress at M&S HQ, with all the folks at Donnington for Ford (in 2012!), at Number 10 for the Railway Children, with Nick Clegg at family friendly dos, and all the lovely replies to 'you've won' or 'you've been selected' emails! For a nest of vipers, you've mainly been very kind to me!
