Its a Wonderful Life - it says a lot about the meaning of Christmas

madge47 · 03/12/2017 17:13

The Muppet Christmas Carol

voyager50 · 03/12/2017 17:13

My sister and I love the Muppet's Christmas Carol - we had it on video when we were kids. We also really enjoyed the 'We are all different' son in a trailer at the beginning - it isn't on the dvd release though.

Fantastic Beasts is our favourite as my daughter is a massive Potter head and this was amazing and so imaginative.

meepmoop79 · 03/12/2017 17:16

The Nightmare Before Christmas, gets our vote.

glennamy · 03/12/2017 17:20

We love Disney's A Christmas Carol... But our all time favourite is Bedknobs and Broomsticks as magic never dies no matter what age you are! :)

AuFinch · 03/12/2017 17:20

The Polar Express - I still hear that bell!

Marg2k8 · 03/12/2017 17:20

I like Harry Potter and would like to see Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them

CMOTDibbler · 03/12/2017 17:21

Fantastic Beasts!

hdh747 · 03/12/2017 17:26

The Muppets Christmas Carol

Funkyferret · 03/12/2017 17:26

For the family it would be The Polar Express. For me, it's got to be Love Actually. I don't know how many times I've seen and I never get bored of it.

bosch121212 · 03/12/2017 17:27

As a family we love The Polar Express, amazing animation, superb acting(so to speak) from Tom Hanks captures all the characters so well. Great Christmas spirit movie. Me personally, I'm a Love Actually fan, has been my favourite movie for many years now, just a soppy romance and great direction with the knitting of the different stories entwining with each other.

easter1965 · 03/12/2017 17:32

Would have to be Home Alone 2 for us as we have watched it every Christmas eve the kids love it.

janeyf1 · 03/12/2017 17:41

Bad Santa because it really makes me laugh and isn't too sickly sweet

vonniebab2 · 03/12/2017 17:43

The Polar Express is our favourite film we always watch it a few times before Christmas!

hiddenmichelle · 03/12/2017 17:52

Bad Santa - so funny - love it

MSHGW · 03/12/2017 17:55

The Muppet Christmas Carol. It's got everything, Dickens, Muppets, catchy songs, that heart warming feeling.

Ikea1234 · 03/12/2017 18:00

For us it has to be Nightmare Before Christmas. It's a different take on the Christmas theme, with really strong songs, and great characters. We are Tim Burton fans anyway, which helps, but we're not fans of schmaltzy Christmas stories. Another of our favourites is National Lampoons Christmas Vacation....festive silliness!

prwilson · 03/12/2017 18:01

They all sound very Amercian. :(

From the ones available I would choose Fantastic Beasts because I haven't seen it but I've heard good things.

sezz35 · 03/12/2017 18:02

Its got to be Scrooged, we love the (relatively) modern take on the Dickens classic.

lizd31 · 03/12/2017 18:06

The Sound of Music, it's not Christmas without watching that film. Ever since it first came out when I was a child I've loved to sing along to it.

holey · 03/12/2017 18:15

The Grinch- it's one of our favourite Christmas films. For me it is the lovely bustling, snowy town centre with people preparing for Christmas.

AnimalAddict · 03/12/2017 18:20

Home Alone 2, it's so entertaining and never gets old :)

Melinoe · 03/12/2017 18:21

The polar express, love Tom hanks and it's a great film for my sceptical 8 year old

ang65t · 03/12/2017 18:22

home alone 2 from the list, it wouldn't be christmas without watching it, definately a family favourite
