The team at NOW TV would love to hear which Christmas movie gets your family together and huddled around the TV with appropriately festive snacks Xmas Smile. Do you go for a classic, a new favourite, an animated flick or one which isn’t technically about Christmas but still reminds you of that time of year?

NOW TV say “With NOW TV, we have a host of family movies lined up for the festive period - from Frozen to The Polar Express and even the classic Sound of Music! Families can also enjoy newer movies like Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them and The Lego Batman Movie - all from the comfort of their own front room!”

Whatever the preference in your house, add your most-loved Christmas movie below and why it's simply the best for you and yours, and you will be entered into a prize draw where one person will win a £300 voucher for a store of their choice (from a list).

Thanks and good luck

Minnibix · 23/11/2017 17:17

We usually watch Home Alone sometime over Xmas its our favourite and never fails to make us chuckle :D

For me and my DD2 it’s Lion the witch and the wardrobe, the bbc version. I remember watching it when it first came out and all the hype around it, the actors were on Blue Peter and everything.

So I’ve got the dvd and dc and I watch it every year, once it’s out dc know the count down to Christmas has begun, I suppose it’s a family tradition for us. We have proper movie night with it, duvets and popcorn all snug whilst it’s cold and yuck outside.

My eldest loves the Snowman, because it’s Christmassy and because we went to the theatre to see it, she also has always loved the walking in the air theme.

This is a hard one. I really like the Home Alone movies, and can watch them again and again. They have a feel good factor about them. I also really like Polar Express. The sound track and story is just so christmasy. We usually watch it on Christmas eve.

I adore It's a Wonderful Life because it’s about a man who doesn’t realize how rich he is and the profound and positive impact he has had on the community because he lived. My favorite line is at the end when he sees what Clarence has written in the book. ‘No man is a failure who has friends.’

towser44 · 23/11/2017 17:25

Frozen. So we can listen to DD singing Let it Go for the millionth time ha ha!

Gazelda · 23/11/2017 17:27

mooota1514 · 23/11/2017 17:41

Ice Age: A Mammoth Christmas.

daniel1996 · 23/11/2017 17:41

For me it is 'A wonderful life' with the late great Jimmy Stewart, because it shows is - Christmas is not about what you get it is who is around you. I just love Clarence Odbody who makes the character see how much he means to others and what he has done for others - I hope we all have a Clarence looking after us, the movie always makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up, and never fails to make me weep -in a good way.

flozza42 · 23/11/2017 17:42

We all love Home Alone it's a classic

Elizasmum02 · 23/11/2017 17:48

we love watching home alone, no matter how many times we watch it we always laugh!

Spices001 · 23/11/2017 17:48

It has to be Home Alone!

SSCRASE123 · 23/11/2017 17:50

With kids it's Elf, with just my wife then Die Hard but on my own I'll stick Polar Express on, I love it.

KAKADU2001 · 23/11/2017 17:54

It has to be Bolt as we watched it with our youngest Son and his family when we celebrated our first Xmas in Australia with them. Luckily my wife and I have now done it on a yearly basis. As an added bonus our eldest Daughter and her family emigrated there in 2015. Xmas is just amazing in the glorious Ozzy sunshine.

alibabbaskeggy · 23/11/2017 17:54

has to be elf and it has to be the coke/burping scene...closely followed by trading places!

ovlovmania · 23/11/2017 18:00

Jingle All the Way has got to be my favourite! It's a terrible movie, but it's so bad it's good. I watch it every year, and it's just not Christmas until I've heard Arnie say those immortal words 'It's Turbo Time'.

ashde · 23/11/2017 18:04

We love watching Home Alone as there are so many funny moments and love the ending when the family come together.

Kion · 23/11/2017 18:11

Definitely Elf but also Step Brothers as we love Will Ferrell, he’s hilarious. And my all time favourite, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. This year with my baby though we will also add in an animated movie such as Frozen. Can’t wait 🎅😊

dul4hw · 23/11/2017 18:13

Diehard. It's been my favourite film since I used to sneak downstairs to watch it as a kid.
