The team at NOW TV would love to hear which Christmas movie gets your family together and huddled around the TV with appropriately festive snacks Xmas Smile. Do you go for a classic, a new favourite, an animated flick or one which isn’t technically about Christmas but still reminds you of that time of year?

NOW TV say “With NOW TV, we have a host of family movies lined up for the festive period - from Frozen to The Polar Express and even the classic Sound of Music! Families can also enjoy newer movies like Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them and The Lego Batman Movie - all from the comfort of their own front room!”

Whatever the preference in your house, add your most-loved Christmas movie below and why it's simply the best for you and yours, and you will be entered into a prize draw where one person will win a £300 voucher for a store of their choice (from a list).

Thanks and good luck

The muppets Christmas carol is our family favourite. Gets watched on 1st December every year and then 5-6 times throughout December!
Gives the message Dickens intended but is such fun and the songs are great. My 2 girls love Miss Piggy, especially when she stands up to Scrooge near the end - Priceless.
We all love it so much. In fact I think I might go watch it again now...

It's a Wonderful Life, because it's timeless and is a great teacher to kids and adults alike about appreciating what you have, and the importance of family and friends in your life.

Oddly, we loved Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence - although I haven't seen it for years. Although not a Christmas film, I adore The Searchers because it reminds me of my father, who loved westerns....

Tobebythesea · 03/12/2017 06:12

Elf

Goshthatwentwell · 03/12/2017 08:25

We are a blended family and have different " must haves". My partner and his daughter like schmaltzy US fare especially It's Wonderful Life, Elf. I have to watch a Christmal Carol ( any version except scrooged) and Bugsy Malone. My son likes Nativity.best.
So we take a DVD of Elf ( to watch ad infinitude) and watch Cristmas Carol and a comedy on the TV.

My dd (4.5) absolutely loves watching "The Magic Reindeer"

She found it on Nowtv last year and watched it everyday! She has discovered it again this year and is watching it now whilst eating her breakfast. I suspect we will be watching it everyday!

It is a lovely film. Even my stepkids love it!

allibaby · 03/12/2017 09:48

We love the Polar Express. It's a little bit different to the average film but there is something very magical about it.

naymechaynger · 03/12/2017 11:10

We love National Lampoons Christmas Vacation. It makes us cry with laughter each time....... There are loads of lovely, cosy Christmas films we like too, but Christmas isn't Christmas without the Griswalds!

sarahj68 · 03/12/2017 13:41

Elf makes us laugh every time we watch it

Kahlua4me · 03/12/2017 13:45

Home Alone is our family favourite every Christmas. My personal favourite though is It’s a Wonderful Life as I love the range of emotions and the warm fuzzy feeling at the end 😍😍

Our favourite is Nativity which is just as well as my DDs are singing songs from the film in their xmas show. They've been practicing since September!

cathwarbur · 03/12/2017 22:39

My favourite Christmas film is The Snowman & it's sequal. Lovely friendly hopeful film that is really heartwarming

TheSarahChronicles · 03/12/2017 23:55

For my family, you truly can't beat the classic that is Home Alone, the epitome of family fun with a great deal of heart. Ideally for any age and as a bonus, it has the most magically festive sound track which is perfect to listen to when getting to the Christmas spirit, decking the halls with all the festive glitz we can get our mitts on! ❤️

daisyduke66 · 03/12/2017 23:55
