The team at NOW TV would love to hear which Christmas movie gets your family together and huddled around the TV with appropriately festive snacks Xmas Smile. Do you go for a classic, a new favourite, an animated flick or one which isn’t technically about Christmas but still reminds you of that time of year?

NOW TV say “With NOW TV, we have a host of family movies lined up for the festive period - from Frozen to The Polar Express and even the classic Sound of Music! Families can also enjoy newer movies like Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them and The Lego Batman Movie - all from the comfort of their own front room!”

Whatever the preference in your house, add your most-loved Christmas movie below and why it's simply the best for you and yours, and you will be entered into a prize draw where one person will win a £300 voucher for a store of their choice (from a list).

Thanks and good luck

I think 'Nativity' for that combination of heart-warming story and laugh out loud moments, and lots of children being, well, children, and adorable and funny with it. Reading this thread has made me want to grab the duvet and a mug of tea and settle in for a movie night!

It has to be Elf! Love Will Ferrell, I’ve seen it countless times and it still makes me laugh... Grin Must be watched with festive snacks!

N2986 · 01/12/2017 07:25

Absolutely the Muppet Christmas carol for me, but the kids are scared of it- they prefer some awful Shrek Christmas dvd we have!

BluebellRose · 01/12/2017 08:10

We love Nativity in our house!

NeitherNowtNorSummat01 · 01/12/2017 08:26

It has to be Home Alone. Was both mine And my husbands favourite Christmas film since we were children. We watch it every year now on the 1st of December while we put up our Christmas tree.

Babieseverywhere · 01/12/2017 09:38

The kids love Arthur Christmas, Elf and Santa Claus.

I prefer Miracle on 34th street (both versions) and Sound of Music. Kids hate my choices, so we watch a lot of Elf !

Goldenphoenix · 01/12/2017 10:04

Our family favourite is Home Alone, the slapstick injuries make my five year old howl with laughter!

Shesawinner1989 · 01/12/2017 10:16

Got to be Elf. Santa!!!!! Makes me laugh and get into the Christmas spirit no matter how many times I’ve watched it

my favorite reminder of christmas is Robert D. Nero in Taxi Driver, its' final 10 minutes is almost a replica of our house when our Terry gets in from the pub.

Scrooge (the black and white one)

It's A Wonderful Life

delbs · 01/12/2017 13:24

A Christmas Carol. Musical version. As kids and "grownup" kids we used to dance around the kitchen singing "Thank you very much" while mum was trying to make Christmas dinner.

ForTheLoveOfSleep · 01/12/2017 13:26

Polar Express. DC have the book and follow along with the film. We even go on the Polar Express every year. Well except for this year as it's not on...

Cookie37 · 01/12/2017 13:31

National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation every time !

henbane · 01/12/2017 13:49

When my daughter was little we recorded (and later bought) The Snowman & watched it every year. The all time great from my childhood has to be It's A Wonderful Life. My own top choice is the original Fantasia! I was taken to see it as a child because my parents loved it, and I took my children to see it in turn. It was ages before it was released on video & then DVD but it's my Christmas favourite now

MakeTeaNotWar · 01/12/2017 13:52

The Grinch!

juliusjilian · 01/12/2017 14:15

confusedofengland · 01/12/2017 17:00

We love Home Alone, the DSes find it very funny - I just hope it doesn't give them any ideas Grin

curlilox · 01/12/2017 17:18

Muppet's Christmas Carol - we can't help but sing along!

grannybiker · 01/12/2017 22:10

Home Alone are great for slapstick humour that appeals in our house

sympatico1 · 01/12/2017 22:54

No contest - it just has to be It's a Wonderful Life, not just my favourite Christmas Film, but my favourite film of all time! Made the children watch it - they were teenagers at the time - think (well, know for sureHmm) they were too young to appreciate a black and white 1940's film, but will persevere and now they are in their 30's insist they watch it again!!! However, The Snowman, hits the spot for all the family and have just played it to my 3 year old granddaughter who is now also a fan.

persianpeach · 01/12/2017 23:24

THE GRINCH!

Hopezibah · 02/12/2017 00:41
