The team at NOW TV would love to hear which Christmas movie gets your family together and huddled around the TV with appropriately festive snacks Xmas Smile. Do you go for a classic, a new favourite, an animated flick or one which isn’t technically about Christmas but still reminds you of that time of year?

NOW TV say “With NOW TV, we have a host of family movies lined up for the festive period - from Frozen to The Polar Express and even the classic Sound of Music! Families can also enjoy newer movies like Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them and The Lego Batman Movie - all from the comfort of their own front room!”

Whatever the preference in your house, add your most-loved Christmas movie below and why it's simply the best for you and yours, and you will be entered into a prize draw where one person will win a £300 voucher for a store of their choice (from a list).

Thanks and good luck

Home alone! Epic...

thesockgap · 29/11/2017 10:07

We have loads of Christmas films that we love to watch but the one that we all enjoy and watch time and again is Elf, it has something for everyone and is a great feel good movie :)

Time4adrink · 29/11/2017 10:18

Elf for sure

Moodykat · 29/11/2017 10:42

The favourite in our house is Arthur Christmas. We cannot call it Christmas until that has been watched! I think we are planning it for Sunday afternoon.

Mumslet · 29/11/2017 11:41

The Great Escape. Some will say it is not very seasonal but what is more Christmassy than wanting to risk life and limb to escape the rellies?

sharond101 · 29/11/2017 11:53

Elf

GinYummy · 29/11/2017 13:47

My own favourite is 'The Family Man' but as a family it would be Polar express, we all love it.

margaritasbythesea · 29/11/2017 13:56

We always cuddle up with the Polar Express every year on Christmas Eve. It´s the start of Christmas!

MRSBSENIOR · 29/11/2017 14:52

I love The Wizard of Oz - technically not a Xmas film but one that I watch every year. It always makes me cry at the end. We also love Polar Express as the book is so beautiful - and also makes me cry!

Santa Claus the movie. Always watched that with my sister over and over.

More recently The Polar Express.

Ak13zd03 · 29/11/2017 19:38

Tigger83 · 29/11/2017 20:12

For me it's the Harry Potter series! My partner and I start watching one a week from nov and this marks our build up to Christmas! Not traditional but so special for us.

CecilyBlue · 29/11/2017 20:43

Elf, it always feels like Christmas has begun once we’ve watched it.

lalalauren416 · 29/11/2017 21:19

The Santa Clause, it was my favourite as a child and feels so nostalgic watching it!

user1496053440 · 29/11/2017 21:21

My favourite Christmas film has to be Love Actually. I love the mix of stories and all the actors are great. It always gets me in the mood for Christmas!

MyCatIsPlottingToKillMe · 29/11/2017 23:09

Lately, The Hogfather (although Muppet Christmas Carol would also get an honourable mention!)

3tobecome4 · 30/11/2017 00:21

My family have always loved a tv movie called Bernard and the Genie!! We recorded it on tape in the 90s when I was very young and watched it every Christmas till it wore out!

NaughtyRed82 · 30/11/2017 03:24

I asked my daughter what hers was the other day and it's Home Alone, both my kids love it and I did too when younger 😆

My son enjoys The Grinch as a Christmas film but also a few months ago me and him watched A Nightmare Before Christmas together and we both enjoyed it, so much he's asked for it on DVD for Christmas and I've picked it up for £3 for him 😄😄
My daughters eager to watch it now as well!

ZoSanDesu · 30/11/2017 06:29

The Santa Clause! What a great excuse for putting on a few pounds through winter 🎅🏼

ZarduHasselfrau · 30/11/2017 07:03

I've lived all over the world, and have friends in so many different countries, so seven of us have a pact that on Christmas Eve, no matter where we are, or who we're with, we watch Love Actually. It makes us feel closer to each other, knowing we're all doing the same thing at the same time.

We try set a time to watch that's convenient to all; my friends in Asia will be watching at night, while those in the US and Canada will see it in the morning. They've generally taken the day off work anyway, and my American friend says that he watches it in bed, which sets him up to have a really great day!

My all-time favourite Christmas film however, is It's a Wonderful Life. As a child, I'd watch it with my grandparents. As a parent, my son and I would watch it every Christmas Eve, just before he went to bed. Now, my partner and I watch it together. This year, we'll be with his mum, and fortunately, it's one of her favourite films too. Smile

SillyMoomin · 30/11/2017 12:10

Home Alone 1&2

The music, the lights, the snow, the "perfect" styled American type christmas, the tree... Happy sigh.

Cuddled up all together with DH and the DC's, laughing
