To help showcase the new Sea Patrol range, PAW Patrol would love to hear about when your child has ‘saved the day’ themselves - this could be something like rescuing you from an awkward conversation with a neighbour, suggesting a fun day out you’d have never thought of, spotting someone in need or simply saying something which made you (or a family member) smile!

The team at PAW Patrol say “Trouble is on the horizon at Adventure Beach! Help Ryder and the team of pups save the baby octopus by jumping aboard the PAW Patrol Sea Patroller. Equipped with flashing lights, sounds and a detachable anchor, this rescue vehicle comes with everything your little one will need to sail the high seas. As captain, they’ll have command of the life ring launcher, as well as the handy crane and cage – perfect for getting Ryder into hard-to-reach places. This dual boat/land vehicle can easily tackle rocky roads. Simply slide the bridge forward and wheels drop down, taking them over any terrain. There’s room for all Sea Patrol Light Up Pups aboard the Sea Patroller (additional figures are sold separately). The Sea Patroller can hold up to 2 Sea Patrol Vehicles, and comes with Ryder’s Rescue ATV. Load it into the Sea Patroller and use the front-opening ramp to send the PAW Patrol on a roll! For extra-tricky missions that require flight, the helipad on the back of the ship is the perfect launching spot for Skye’s Sea Patrol Vehicle (sold separately). Whether land, sea or air, the PAW Patrol will be there!”
The Sea Patrol range is suitable for ages 3 years and over.

Add your comment to this thread and you will be entered into a prize draw where one winner will get - not only a £300 Argos voucher but also a PAW Patrol pack - consisting of Sea Patroller, 6 Sea Patrol Vehicles and 6 Sea Patrol Light Up Pups - worth over £200 Smile.

Thanks and good luck

My ds often saves the day with his smile - he often tells me he loves me when I look glum too! 😍

DS (2.9) is my everyday hero. Born smack bang in the middle of DD suffering from a serious illness, he has endured lots of hospital visits, illness periods and treatments for her and done it all with a smile. DD's illness is life long with good times and bad, affecting her mobility and DS will fetch things for me and her, even without asking. He stays quiet when she is feeling noise sensitive and watches endless mermaid films even though he just wants paw patrol!! He is always there to give me snuggles when I need them too. Of course DD (4) is also a superstar, dealing with more in 4 years than most people are in a lifetime. My children are amazing and the way they deal with these things, especially whilst so young, keep me dealing with them too when I could very easily loose the plot.

Agree with PP, whilst DS rocks his pink skye blanket, some Skye underpants is all my he really wants!

purplemunkey · 13/10/2017 14:38

My DD regularly saves my day when I pick her up after a tough day at work. Her warm heart, big smile and excitedly shouting 'Mummy!' makes any sad feelings and stress from my day melt away. She is obsessed with Paw Patrol and would be so excited to get anything from the new toy collection.

Fingers crossed 🤞

When does the prize draw close?

Helspopje · 13/10/2017 14:40

My daughter spoke to the 999 ambulance despatch updating them on her baby sister's colour and status as I tried to resuscitate her.
She then phoned her dad and told him to come home and got shoes and coats for her and her brother to wear in the ambulance.
She is amazing and I am very very proud of her

When my mum was going through the menopause whenever she had a hot flush when he was around he would get out his fan and fan her until she cooled down!

rupert23 · 13/10/2017 16:52

My son age 10 was brilliant when we were going on holiday in august.my mum was seriously ill just before our holiday so there was no time to pack anything or get ready. My son made lists of everything we needed so we could tick it off and not forget silly things. He really was a star.

NellMangel · 13/10/2017 17:29

My 3 year old son wanted paw patrol pyjamas but none of them had Sky on. She is his favourite. She's been relegated to appearing on pink pyjamas with Everest. Crazy.

1969angep · 13/10/2017 17:35

My 6 year old saved my bacon the other week at the toy shop. We’d picked up, yet another, Lego set and were absent mindly wandering around the rest of the store and I made to leave, completely forgetting about the whole going to the till thing. He piped up that we needed to pay before we could leave the shop, thank heavens, and save some me from getting on the wrong side of security alarms/guards.

Nanodust · 13/10/2017 17:52

I will never forget how my little DD saved the day by finding my lost pendant. I was so sad to have lost my pendant that has significant emotional value.
We'd taken the bathroom plumbing apart, turned the house upside down and had no luck at all.
My little paw patrol hero watched and listened to all that was going on. She then spent the next week looking in all the corners and behind things. To my delight she found the pendant in the bathroom tub where we store all their bath toys.
I was so delighted and she was so happy and had a real confidence boost. She is such a little delight.

My son is amazing at finding things and suggesting how to fix things.

Lost your keys/phone/Wallet/piece of a toy? Ds will find them

Need to know what a minuscule piece of plastic belongs to?
Ds knows

Need a suggestion for what to use to repair something?
Ds has the answer!

I make cakes and quite often I get stuck for inspiration and ds will come along and say why don't you do this or that or use this colour etc. He's such a great wee dude.

NotCitrus · 13/10/2017 18:19

We were in a 2nd hand game shop when someone came in wanting to trade in loads of Skylanders (plastic toys you scan into a game, they sell for 25p to £10). Poor shop assistant was frazzled and didn't know how to identify any of them to price them up and a long queue was getting tetchy but the customer didn't want to come back later.

Called ds age 8 over. Could he help? He reeled off the precise names of every one, even helpfully spelling the tricky words. Job done in five minutes.

Popcornandbuttons · 13/10/2017 18:46

@Justanothernap - possibly the best response on a sponsored thread I've ever read!!!!!

My 3yo also causes chaos most of the time. Joyous but exhausting chaos.

In my view she saves the day when she entertains her baby sister whilst I'm busy prepping dinner etc, making her sister laugh and forget that there isn't an endless supply of snacks.

mumsbe · 13/10/2017 18:50

I would just like to say my son loves paw patrol. He is 4 and autistic and can throw some real strops. We were invited to a meal with new friends and I couldn't say no. We were all really tired and couldn't really be bothered. Normally he str ops at the worst times this time just as we were about to sit down he threw an almighty strip. There was no calming him he was throwing things screaming and kicking his legs.
We apologised and left. As soon as we left he calmed down. He can't speak but I'm sure he knew that's the best timing ever.

WhosTakingDeHorseToFrance · 13/10/2017 19:10

My big boy has always been very kind with his sister, he reads to her Noe that he's older and has often saved the day by keeping her occupied. He was great at fetching and carrying stuff for me in the early baby days when I needed an extra pair of hands. He is a little Star

Byrdie · 13/10/2017 19:32

My eldest loves to remind of the time she reminded me her baby sister was in bed... and we were in the car... backing out of the driveway! I had completely forgotten her before packijg the remaining (awake) kids in the car! Felt awful, but she thought she was great!

Boglin · 13/10/2017 19:55

My 5yo has been obsessed with Paw Patrol since he was 3 and he absolutely loves a mission. One afternoon we were heading to a soft play centre that he usually goes to with his grandparents and I wondered aloud how to get there. He said 'don't worry, mama, I'll be your sat nav' and proceeded to direct me all the way there. As we were getting close, he adopted a sat nav voice and said 'your place is on the right'. Grin

He would be absolutely over the moon to get the new sea patrol toys!

del2929 · 13/10/2017 20:44

my little one once leapt into action when his baby cousin put a piece of paper in her mouth. he managed to coax it out.

UpOnDown · 13/10/2017 21:02

finding the car keys when we needed to go out

theresamustgo · 13/10/2017 21:03

My DD saved the day when she was born, because my DM and DF really believed they would never get grandchildren, with me leaving it so late!

HerRoyalFattyness · 13/10/2017 21:03

I suffer with SPD still despite my youngest being 2.
I fell last year and couldn't get up because i hurt my hips and there was nothing to lever myself up on.
My daughter (who at the time was a day short of being 3) ran and got my mobile for me to call for help, and my youngest who was 1 and a half, hugged me, stroking my hair telling me "otay mummy" over and over.

ButterflyOfFreedom · 13/10/2017 22:10

Both my DC (aged 5 & 3) have a better sense of direction than me and have often 'saved the day' in terms of reminding me where the car / exit / entrance etc is!!

Sid98 · 13/10/2017 23:44

My daughter got her own bag as i forget to get her bag

MrsDramaQueen · 14/10/2017 05:44

DD 7 was absolutely amazing when her dad cut off the top of his thumb in a mandolin. I was walking the dog with DS 5 when it happened. She got a clean tea towel and wrapped his hand up. She then got the first aid box out and found some padded bandages. She opened the front door and call to me over the field, so that we could get to the hospital.
