To help showcase the new Sea Patrol range, PAW Patrol would love to hear about when your child has ‘saved the day’ themselves - this could be something like rescuing you from an awkward conversation with a neighbour, suggesting a fun day out you’d have never thought of, spotting someone in need or simply saying something which made you (or a family member) smile!

The team at PAW Patrol say “Trouble is on the horizon at Adventure Beach! Help Ryder and the team of pups save the baby octopus by jumping aboard the PAW Patrol Sea Patroller. Equipped with flashing lights, sounds and a detachable anchor, this rescue vehicle comes with everything your little one will need to sail the high seas. As captain, they’ll have command of the life ring launcher, as well as the handy crane and cage – perfect for getting Ryder into hard-to-reach places. This dual boat/land vehicle can easily tackle rocky roads. Simply slide the bridge forward and wheels drop down, taking them over any terrain. There’s room for all Sea Patrol Light Up Pups aboard the Sea Patroller (additional figures are sold separately). The Sea Patroller can hold up to 2 Sea Patrol Vehicles, and comes with Ryder’s Rescue ATV. Load it into the Sea Patroller and use the front-opening ramp to send the PAW Patrol on a roll! For extra-tricky missions that require flight, the helipad on the back of the ship is the perfect launching spot for Skye’s Sea Patrol Vehicle (sold separately). Whether land, sea or air, the PAW Patrol will be there!”
The Sea Patrol range is suitable for ages 3 years and over.

Add your comment to this thread and you will be entered into a prize draw where one winner will get - not only a £300 Argos voucher but also a PAW Patrol pack - consisting of Sea Patroller, 6 Sea Patrol Vehicles and 6 Sea Patrol Light Up Pups - worth over £200 Smile.

Thanks and good luck

My 3 year old very helpfully shut us out of the house with him on the inside on his own with the keys! After a lot of talking through the letterbox he managed to drag a kitchen chair to the door and posted the key back through so I could get in! So not sure if that counts as it was his fault in the first place!

foxessocks · 12/10/2017 21:25

My Dd is very good at helping me get in and out of cafes and shops with the pushchair she holds the door and chrcks for steps -she is really useful! And a massive paw patrol fan!

TellMeItsNotTrue · 12/10/2017 21:26

Actually saved me and the day, we were going out for the day and some appliance (iron maybe? Can't remember) broke so I was in a bit of a flap and I managed to leave without picking up my inhaler. I didn't realise until about lunchtime when I needed it and then I panicked when I couldn't find it (making my chest even worse) he started scrambling round in his backpack and I thought he was copying me until he gave me my inhaler! He had spotted it as we were going out and he knows it always has to go with us so he picked it up and put it in his bag

I gave him the biggest hugs possible while using my inhaler, I didn't realise how much he was picking up from conversations and I was just amazed at him seeing it and bringing it. That week we taught him more about my inhaler and how to call 999 and our address and my full name, he had proven that he was obviously ready to learn

So he saved me a trip in an ambulance I didn't tell him this as he would have been disappointed Grin and saved the outing we were on as we were able to stay

My DD always goes to help children who are crying. She'll give them a cuddle and try to cheer them up with toys.

RealBabyFoodBaby · 12/10/2017 21:45

My lovely daughter saved the day for somebody else as we were waiting in the doctors surgery a few weeks ago. Another child a bit younger than her was having a meltdown (appointments were over run by nearly an hour - surprised I didn’t have a meltdown!) and she dug into her backpack and gave over a toy car she had bought with her. She actually let the other little boy keep it as well, as we got called in before them. Smile very proud Mum!

minesapintofwine · 12/10/2017 22:02

I have dts and dt2 is always saving the day with dt1. Dt1 is a very anxious and sensitive child and dt2 is always saying things like 'don't worry I'll look out for you' and giving him cuddles and reassurance. It's lovely.

DaisyDando · 12/10/2017 22:11

My toddler DS has saved the day many a time when I CBA to do something. He's the perfect get out clause.

ohfourfoxache · 12/10/2017 22:31

I agree wholeheartedly with pps - please stop with all the stereotypical boy/girl stuff. DS loves Sky, but can I find a single bloody item with Sky that isn't pink and frilly? Can I hell. Frankly it's embarrassing that your company still subscribes to such outdated nonsense.

fourmonthstogo · 12/10/2017 22:49

My ds is obsessed by paw patrol at the moment, and a huge number of his imagination games involve Rider and his team of pups saving the day. As a member of his role play paw patrol he's always saving me and his sister from avalanches of cushions and the like...

EsmeeMerlin · 12/10/2017 23:02

My ds(4) can sometimes be very sweet and give me his blanket when I am struggling with morning sickness/back pain and helps me feel brighter.

Agree with others on here, I hope the company does read these replies and take not about the stereotypical gender stuff. Not sure why it is impossible for them to create stuff with all the pups on for boys and girls instead of putting the boys on blue/red and the girl pup on overly pink and frilly.

neddle · 12/10/2017 23:03

I've been driving for over 20 years yet my daughter pointed out to me recently that if I counted the curb stones on the pavement, I'd know whether a parking space was big enough for our van. It had never occurred to me to think about that. Now I know that a space has to be at least 7 stones long to get innit without struggling.

doleritedinosaur · 12/10/2017 23:27

My DS is paw patrol mad & even at the age of 2 knows what time it is on & as above is disappointed in the segregation of Skye.
He does however have 7 pairs of pink Skye socks, one for every day of the week & takes off his paw patrol wellies to ask where she is.

He frequently saves the day by distracting/making his little baby brother laugh so I can get on with dinner/pee/housework.
He's loved DS2 since he met him when he was 2 hours old.
He wears his chase outfit & says Chase is on the case when DS2 is grizzling & immediately helps out with his megaphone & chase badge.

His favourites are Skye & Marshall though.

Hamiltoes · 13/10/2017 00:14

Just pitching in to ask you to consider stopping marketing the dogs seperately.

Can we have girl pants with chase and marshall instead of just the girl dogs pleeeeeeeeease?!

We have a toilet training 2 year old in our house and it would certainly save the day... had to buy the boy pants and theres a wee bulge where her tinkle should be 😂😂

Bez33 · 13/10/2017 05:21

My little boy has just started pre-school, and whilst I’m generally on top of things my newborn baby is making this a bit more challenging than usual. We’d had notice about a school trip, and told he needed to bring his own packed lunch. I would have sent him lunch-less, had he not reminded me the night before! ‘I need a lunch box mummy’. Phew!

FlukeSkyeRunner · 13/10/2017 07:12

Dd1 is a darling - she asks every day if i have my front door key before we close the door to walk to school... Ever since i locked myself out and had to wait for an hour in the pouring rain to be rescued by a friend with a key

insertimaginativeusername · 13/10/2017 07:20

DD saved the day when DS was newborn. I'd gone through the garage to put the rubbish out and not put the catch on the door so locked myself out the house. She realised I hadn't come back, fetched her toilet step and brought it to the garage door so she could reach the catch.

I'd also like to add a request to reconsider the marketing of "boy" and "girl" products. DD would love underwear with all the dogs of rather than just the girl dogs.

asuwere · 13/10/2017 08:57

DS and DD both love paw patrol but like PPs, it's annoying merchandise doesn't have all the characters!
My DC are all great at giving a hug or saying something nice when I'm sad/grumpy, always makes me feel better. Yesterday, I couldn't reach something in a shop, DS said he'd get it and was stretching up, I lifted him and he got it! Very helpful :)

MrBloomsLeftVeg · 13/10/2017 09:10

My dd (5) helped rescue the dog. He fell 8ft into a river and started panicking. She was great and helped me calling to him to guide him down the river to the side. Once it was low enough , I could climb down and lift him out. She was a bit disappointed he wasn't like a paw patrol dog and didn't rescue hi.self

VinIsGroot · 13/10/2017 09:12

DS is 8 but severly disabled ...he LOVES Paw Patrol!!!
He's saved my back many many times.... Especially when someone you really don't want to talk to turns up...then he has a massive meltdown....u have to just apologise and leave ....nice one DS! You are my superhero ....just by being you!

NerrSnerr · 13/10/2017 09:12

When my baby cries my 3 year old always saves the day by giving him big cuddles and getting him toys to cheer him up.

AtlanticIron · 13/10/2017 09:30

I've hurt my back which means I can't bend down. My 4yo DS saves me every day by picking things off the floor which I drop.

kateandme · 13/10/2017 11:21

frequently helping me pause and see the present."its ok mum" "I love you its ok" often when I'm inside my own head ranting or clearly worrying the stories away over something she just brings me back because if I'm not wandering in my own fears and thoughts and instead just right here it will be ok.she sees that and helps me do so just by being so innocent with those few lines.touch, smile, hug

Thirdload · 13/10/2017 11:47

My son went through a lovely phase of being Skateboard Man who would "zoom to the rescue" on this baby toy with wheels. He was a pretty shoddy superhero to be honest as he kept falling off the 'skateboard' and I usually had to rescue him, but it was super cute while it lasted.

FunSizedNinja · 13/10/2017 12:09

My dad is disabled and has to take a lot of medication. We have always taught my son about the importance of never touching anything found on the floor or eating it. My dad dropped a tablet and didnt see the dog pick it up. My son shouted “granny granny the dog has grandpa’s tablet!” And she managed to take it before he swallowed it. Could have been harmful to him! He told his teacher at school and she gave a lesson on how his class can learn from what he did to keep everyone safe. Bless him

Candyperfumegirl · 13/10/2017 12:20

My daughter saved the day by finding her brothers shoes this morn when we were running late on the school run - its the little things that count ain't it :D
