i do smoothies and either let them drink them or freeze them into lolly ice moulds

Not really a problem for us, they love both fruit and yoghurts. They both know that if they want treats after tea that they need to have had their good stuff first which always works.

My children like most fruits and yogurts, so it's not difficult. We make eating fun - we make fruit kebabs, banana and strawberry milkshakes, have competitions to see who can take the biggest bite, and make funny faces on Apple's through taking little bites to peel the skin off etc.

My son loves fruit and vegetables and also loves yogurt we are really lucky to have such a good little boy he is not really fussy at all. One of the only thing he doesn't like is carrots when they are cooked which I sneak in to lots of meals like cottage pie's and casseroles and he will eat if he doesn't know its there. Strange he loves raw carrots ☺ Has an apple and carrot every morning for snack and fruit and yogurt after his tea everyday.

I like to add lots of fruit to ice cream - that way, they'll eat less ice cream and more of the fruit instead!

For my youngest we really struggle with this.
Even when we create a puree of vegatables and mix it into a sauce he is adept at detecting them, and placing them on the side of his plate.
Bribery with a sweet desert is the only sure fire way to get him to eat his vegetables.

We make lollies from yoghurt and fruit pieces, DS also loves smoothies with lots of different fruit and youghurt added.

Smoothies all the way - they think they're having a really unhealthy drink :P But all they're drinking is fruit and water!

Smoothies are a winner in our house! A great way of blending fresh fruit & yoghurt, plus a bonus handful of kale or spinach that they will never notice! If my LO spots the greenish tinge, I tell him it's a Hulk smoothie & it's an extra special treat! :)
Presentation is key too - an attractive fruit platter is irresistable - a good mix of colours is great - strawberries, apple, banana, orange & grapes - yum! A pot of dipping yoghurt in the centre would tick all the boxes.

My little boy loves fruit and yogurt, so I don't need to persuade him. I just make sure they are offered to him at the end of his mealtimes. He'll also have fruit as a snack, eg slices of apple, or banana and peanut butter quesidillas.

My DC seem to be much more motivated to eat fruit if I do something slightly different with it. Chopping it in a different way or putting it on sticks. I also find if I talk to them about where it came from, eg ‘These grapes were grown in Chile!’, it adds a bit of exoticism to them. Fruit is a hard sell to them when it’s out of season and not as tasty, so they tend to have more smoothies over the winter. Yoghurt is offered if they are still hungry after dinner and they will quite often opt for this to avoid having to be the first one in the shower. 🙄

Fruit kebabs, it's amazing how fruit seems more appealing when chopped up and pushed onto a wooden stick! Especially if you add some melted chocolate sauce. Frozen banana whizzed up with milk is also a lovely milkshake.

Luckily my DD actually loves fresh fruit :) But if in doubt, crumbles! You can make really fruit packed lightly cooked crumbles, so hearty and delicious.

Fruit Lolly Ices

My 5 kids love lolly ices even in winter and would eat box after box if they had a chance so now instead of the sugar filled ones from supermarkets I make my own with all different fruit in them and no sugar juice. Easy way to get more fruit into them instead of them taking one bite from a apple and leaving the rest because that really drives me insane !! Hmm

My 9 year old DD was on the School healthy eating council last year and they did a bring an unusual fruit to School day, they then chopped up all the fruit and all the kids got to taste fruit they probably wouldn’t normally.
We found out DD likes Sharon fruits and DS2 likes pomegranate!

I try to get them involved as much as possible. The fruit bowl is the only option for a snack after school, and we make mealtimes fun by making different shapes out of different vegetables. Smiley (or sad) faces, try to make a rainbow, find a 'missing' coloured fruit or vegetable for the next time etc. Works for us.

Fortunately DS is pretty good with fruit and veg generally.... though I do sneak in courgetti/spiralised carrots in with our spag bol to try and up our veg intake. I also add in lentils to the sauce- no one in my family notices and they're a really healthy addition to our diet.

Yoghurt is a little more tricky, though DS used to devour it when he was younger I can't get him interested right now unless it's frozen into lolly moulds with some chopped up strawberries.

I stir pureed fruit into custard all the time - both my kids love fruity custard!

I freeze homemade fruit and veg smoothies into to tube lolly moulds and offer them as dessert ice lollies
