GoGo squeeZ® knows how tricky it can be to get your DCs to eat healthily, so they would love to know the fun/smart ways you use to sneak fruit and yogurt into their diet. Maybe your trick is to make a bright-coloured smoothie, packed full of goodness. Do you make fresh sorbet or animal-shaped ice lollies? Or are your cakes stuffed with fruit instead? Whatever your hack, GoGo squeeZ ® can’t wait to read about it!

Here’s what GoGo squeeZ ® has to say: “With so many unhealthy snacks tempting our kids, it can be increasingly hard to get good food in them between meal times or on-the-go. Here at GoGo squeeZ®, we’ve made something to help. Introducing the new fruit snacks (made from 100% fruit) and yogurt snacks (source of calcium & vitamin D) that kids LOVE! With no artificial anything, no refrigeration needed and a built-in straw, they are the perfect squeezy snack for kids on-the-go, at school, or at home. Tasty, fun and easy - no nasties, no worries! Try it, love it!

Courgette it a good one to mix in without it being detected, I use it when making pasta sauces all the time. Cauliflower is also an good one to mix in with mac and cheese or any cheese bake :)

I must be very lucky as I've never had to hide or disguise fruit and vegetables in order to get my children to eat them

My son suffered with various tummy troubles and constipation when weaning, as I was advised to blitz and blend! Prunes in spag Bol, carrots in chilli....my list is endless! And I still do it! And guess what? My son is still none the wiser!

Fruit skewers and grape santa hats are especially popular in our house.

Smoothies. And soups. We also give the girls frozen fruit and veg as a snack. We give them a little pot, and we give our girls sweet corn and peas and frozen raspberries. Straight from the freezer, and they love it!!

I don't need sneaky ways to get more fruit and yoghurt into them. In fact, I could really do with sneaky ways to stop DSD2 eating all the fruit she can get her hands on. She's in danger of turning into a strawberry!

Smoothies are our saviour, you can put so nylon things in one of these, they do not realise just what they are drinking.

Put on a platter of fruit, looks visually attractive especially for dessert

DCs all love fruit and yoghurt and eat lots of it each week. The problem I have with the younger DCs is vegetables. so fussy. Soups are one of our ways.

We cut up fruit and make skewers which always appeals to the dc. I throw lots of random veg into curries and stews which they often don't notice. We have smoothies a lot at home too.

Fruit & veg offered with every meal, and leaving it out on the table so it's what's eaten on the go.
An expectation that a new fruit or veg is tried. And favourites always available.
Pickup from school with a pot of fruit & veg for the walk/ buggy board home

Yoghurt, don't even need to try! I just need it to be in recyclable packaging, and be less sugary

Mine love making fruit kebabs. There is always a competition to see who can cram the most fruit on.
Also being in charge of chopping and peeling a fruit plate/salad is popular and smoothies are always a winner.

My son is pretty good at eating apples or bananas but for variety I'll make him a smoothie or a smiley face out of strawberries.

Having ready chopped fruit in the fridge helps when my boys need a snack NOW! A bit of yoghurt in a bowl and chopped fruit dropped on top always goes down a treat here

When DS was a toddler, the best way to get him to try anything new was to do a plate of "bits and bobs", especially at lunchtime or for a snack. So, a few familar favourties like cubes of cheese, bits of breadstick, cherry tomatoes or cucumber etc then I could add something different like bits of beetroot or radish and he'd be likely to at least try it.
For fruit, he was always much more likely to eat it if it was cut up, especially in combination with another fruit, like a mini fruit salad. He'd never be that keen on munching on an apple, but if it was cut into pieces with some slices of pear too, he'd happily have it.
Even now at 10 he prefers his fruit cut up and finds a bowl of fruit salad much more appealing than eating the equivalent of whole pieces of fruit.

Blending fruit and yoghurt into a smoothie often with a sneaky portion of veg too

Report
Wishingandwaiting · 16/10/2017 12:08

No sneakiness here.

If I serve a new veg, say beetroot, then I will simply serve a tiny portion, as in half a mouthful. I say I expect it to be tried. It can be a crumb, but it will be tried.
And because the size is so tiny, they do try it.
The following day I serve again. And so on.

It’s worked time and time again. My two would live in fruit and veg given half the chance

Fruit smoothies are the best for getting kids to eat lots of fruit and yoghurt! Fruit kebabs are a big hit here too.
