Now that the nights are drawing in, and with half term around the corner, movie nights can be a great way to spend some quality time with your family and enjoy the warm indoors. To celebrate their new collection of Animated movies, Sky Cinema would like to hear about your family’s favourite animation films, both new and old.

Here’s what Sky Cinema has to say: “This October, Sky Cinema has put together our biggest ever collection of animated movies to brighten up your Autumn. The collection includes a wide range of animated movies, from the latest hits such as Sing and Kubo and the Two Strings to Disney-Pixar movies like The Incredibles or the Ice Age movies. All available to watch whenever you want on demand.”

Has a recent release, such as Secret Life of Pets or Trolls, become a firm favourite? Or, do you love the nostalgia of passing on a classic like Fantasia? Whether your family prefer the new ones or the classics, or both, Sky Cinema would like to hear about your favourite animation films - and why they manage to make it onto the list.

All who post below about their family’s favourite animation films will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 John Lewis voucher.

Thanks and good luck!

newbieho · 11/10/2017 19:56

We love “The Triplets from Belleville” and “Ratatouille”

Carriecakes80 · 11/10/2017 20:38

For animation, me and mine love The Incredibles! So good, with a good few in-jokes for the adults, the harassed Mum, the doting Dad, and the whining kids, loved it! Its a great movie to stick on on a sunday to snuggle up and watch together! x

The Lion King is a firm favourite of everyone in our family. I love every classic Disney movie though to be honest. Cinderella is a close second.

SpaceCorpDirective349 · 11/10/2017 22:13

Lilo and Stitch all the way!

KingCatMeowInSpace · 11/10/2017 22:44

Lilo and stitch 100%. My daughter always laughs and thinks stitch looks like her puppy

bigfishlittlefishtupperwarebox · 12/10/2017 12:21

Ours are the Toy Story trilogy. Just brilliant, can watch them again and again, and my DD is transfixed by them!

OhHolyFuck · 12/10/2017 12:52

Oh god, pretty much all the disneys and Pixars (except Up and Inside out, don't like those) especially toy story (and 2 and 3) and moana

Branleuse · 12/10/2017 13:13

Belleville rendezvous

missytilley · 12/10/2017 14:43

Ours is Hotel Transylvania it's funny and Mya giggles at the word butt

MargoLovebutter · 12/10/2017 16:07

Not sure it qualifies, as only partially animated but it would have to be Who Framed Roger Rabbit for me. DCs favourites were Lilo and Stitch, The Road to El Dorado and Shrek 2.

Dianic · 12/10/2017 18:52

We all love Moana and sing all the songs together. DD cried at Beauty and the Beast (she's 22!) and I still cry when Bambi's mum gets it... You can't beat The Good Dinosaur either, which DGS absolutely loves!
For pure joy though, Sing is a cracker!!

Cupcakeicecream · 12/10/2017 18:55

Our firm favourite atm is Ballerina dc dances in front of the tv dping all the moves now wanting to start dance lessons and I sing along to all the songs. Long time favourite is always the Lion King the best soundtrack possibly a true classic. Heart wrenching when Mufasa dies but a true coming of age story Simba lost scared but with Timon and Pumbas care and encouragement he finds himself a confident capable courageous lion ready to take on his rightful path. The lego movie is awesome great for all ages jokes that just go over childrens heads but are funny for adults. Animated genious bringing lego to life on screen when for years everyone has been created and bringing them to life just perfect homage to ones childhood memories.
