DD (7) was totally won over by the trailer! Her fave character is Pinky Pie, and favourite bit in the trailer was seeing Spike puff up and go crazy :D Thought the mysic sounded fun too. Looks like we'll be going to this one.

Just showed my youngest the trailer and I expected him to hate it so I was really surprised (and excited) when he said it looks funny! The trailer takes me back to my childhood but I was pretty sure I'd not get to see this at the cinema, my teens are way too cool for cinema with mum and I thought my son would look at me like I'd lost my mind if I suggested us going. He seemed really interested in the trailer and even giggled at the line 'it's sunshine and rainbows and flowers and bleugh'. I'm now really hopeful that I can take him to see it without bribery. Can't wait!! Smile

DD is 7 and has already made us promise to take her during the half term.

She (and we) were delighted when we saw the trailer because they've kept the cast from the TV show whilst adding the 'big names' as new characters.

She Loves the merpony thing, too, and is already rattling on about them endlessly!

~ Are your children My Little Pony fans?
Oh yes - dd4 has loads of the ponies

If so, who’s their favourite character and what’s their favourite scene from the trailer?
Rainbow Dash is the favourite but favourite scene from trailer is 'Pinky pie going up and saying 'Weeeeeee' cos that was a bit cute!'

~ What did you think of the trailer? Looks good but a bit 'girly' which I have an aversion to for some reason. Am sure DD will love it

~ Do you think your children will see the movie?
Yes, Ds will come along though purely because he wants popcorn!

'My Little Pony' has seen a resurgence in popularity, what with the new toy range (including the Kinder Surprise set) and related merchandise, and now finally the new movie.
Rainbow Dash is probably the favourite, and the trailer overall is seen as "really exciting".
As to whether the little ones will see it? I guess that's down to me ... (evil laugh) Grin !!!

My son loves the bright colours and is going to enjoy watching MLP when it's released in the cinema.

My dd's favourite pony from the trailer was Rainbow Dash because of the colours in her mane and tail. She liked the part when they changed into seahorses best. I thought the trailer looked interesting and my dd will definitely be keen to get some My Little Pony toys for Christmas after watching the film!

Hello this is A aged 11 I've enjoyed My Little Pony for ages and I'm so excited for the new film. My favourite character has to be Tempest Shadow as I just love the way she looks soooooooooo much I even have a cuddly toy of her, her personality (from what I've seen) seems so interesting. I know it sounds really cliché and cheesy if I say I loved all elements of the trailer but I did!!!!!!! They are All so intriguing and I just want to know everything about it! I originally thought the idea of sea ponies was silly but now I just love it! Thank you for reading my opinion!

Two very big MLP fans in this house. I will definitely be taking them to the cinema in half term to see their favourites - Fluttershy and Princess Celestia. Mermaids plus ponies equals cartoon gold, I think you will find.

DD6 is a MLP fan, less so now than in the past, but the movie has reignited her pony obsession.

Her favourite character is Rainbow Dash but she likes the look of the Queen Novo in the trailer.

Her favourite parts of the trailer were when Spike falls off the board and when the bad guy says 'Friendship, flowers, ponies, bleurgh'

I thought the trailer looked fun.

Yes, I imagine we'll see it.

my 5 year old daughter LOVES all things pony but she's not too familiar with My Little Pony. She told me she does want to watch this movie though. She laughed at the 'easy as pie / i love pie' comment.

The trailer certainly brings MLP to life a lot more. And it's great to see a classic toy given a new lease of life as i remember the MLP toys being really popular when i was at school.

I think we probably will watch the movie.

I was always a fan of My Little Pony when I was little. My daughter has watched the trailer and as she calls them 'pony pony'. Her favourite pony is Pinkie Pie, she watches the series after school every day. We are planning to go see it when it comes out. Thankfully it is before my op in November, otherwise she wouldn't get to go!

DGD loves MLP. I let her watch this clip while she was up for her dinner tonight. She was a little concerned by the “baddies” (she’s 4) but was sure the MLP would join forces and save the day. Rainbow Dash has been a firm favourite but she spotted a unicorn and was very excited. It will be a definite trip to the cinema one Saturday morning for us.

My DD (6) is a big MLP fan (favourite characters Twilight Sparkle and Queen Celestia) and she "really, really wants to see that movie" because the trailer looks "so exciting". She tells me her favourite part is where they become pony-mermaids! Older sister (10) was impressed to notice Sia stars as one of the characters, so will also happily accompany us to see it!

Are your children My Little Pony fans? If so, who’s their favourite character and what’s their favourite scene from the trailer?

Yes she loves mlp- she is nearly 5. Her favourite character is all of them. She refuses to choose one! Her favourite bit was when they were mermaids (merponies?)

What did you think of the trailer? It looks good. Lots of different bits which look interesting - something new and different along with the usual Mlp themes.

Do you think your children will see the movie? Yes DD1 has been looking forward to it ever since she saw it was coming in the mlp magazine

Unfortunately I already know aaaaaaall about this coming out, and ive agreed to find someone else to see it with them, so it felt safe to let them watch it and ask for feedback

Pinkie pie is a favourite in this house, and they all liked when they turn in to mermaid horses, no mermaid Ponies. No they aren't ponies anymore because they are mermaids so they are mermaid horses.... I may take them to the toilet during that scene Hmm

My DS is 7 and as well as being football and nerf crazy he does also like my little pony. Hey s favourite is twilight sparkle which I suspect is due to the you tube video for "pink fluffy unicorns dancing on rainbows" which when he was in hospital last year he played on a near continuous loop! He and I will definitely be heading out to see this when it's released - bit he will probably not tell his friends about it!

No chance we won't see this. DD 11 is obsessed and has encyclopaedic knowledge of the ponyverse. She watches for the humour now, not the pinkness. Her favourite character is Pinkie Pie but she's very interested in Tempest Shadow, the new villain.
Trailer was "intriguing and funny". Favourite moment in the trailer for me was the model balloons getting squished, for DD it was "let's start with your total destruction" from Tempest Shadow.
Myself, I'm not convinced by the mermaids thing- they've jumped the shark there, I think.
