We know many Mumsnetters swear by their Lidl finds - both everyday items and more unusual ones.

We’d love for you to share the gems you’ve discovered there with the rest of MN. Maybe you’re crazy about their chocolate, love their laundry liquid or prize their peppers? Perhaps you stumbled upon an item once that you now always pop in the basket. We all know what treasures are to be found on the middle aisle of wonder - what’s the best thing you’ve ever picked up there?

Please post them on this thread and you will be entered into a prize draw where one winner will get £100 worth of Lidl vouchers (note the winner will be sent 4 x £25 vouchers, one voucher can be redeemed per transaction).

Thanks and good luck

Me and my daughter absolutely love the Lidl White chocolate Strawberry crisp bar, in fact we love all the chocolate at Lidl!

Mozarmstrong · 08/09/2017 19:42

I just love the variety of their products plus prices. Adore their fresh produce Kale is amazing. We love their different coders why not? I say to people go and see for yourselves.

After a holiday in Spain this summer, me and my OH wanted to recreate the experience and bought the Chef Select Chicken, King Prawn & Chorizo Paella, it was only £2.29 and fed us both, and the Conde Noble, Spanish Red Wine at £3.19 was a revelation. This is our date night tea on Saturdays once the children are in bed.

I bought 6 bottles of white wine for £20 earlier in the year. Expected it to be poor and to use for cooking etc but it was really really nice. Tasted like a £7 bottle and would love to buy it again

Formel washing liquid - fabulous results on grubby rugby kit and other assorted boys clothes (even when they've been on Scout camp!) and much cheaper than other brands!

Roast chicken in a bag, once it's cooked cut the corner off the bag then, very carefully, pour the juices out into a jar. When it cools the fat goes the the top so either scoop off (separates really easy) and bin to be healthy or use it for adding flavour to cooking. Then use the, now jelly like, stock for soups or gravy. It's brill!

Lovely shopping trolleys - only £1 each !

CheeseEMouse · 08/09/2017 20:21

We once got an apple tree from lidl - now in the garden and bearing fruit!

CharleyYpres · 08/09/2017 20:32

Their Easter range is always my favourite, I look forward to it every year! Real quality bargains, their 'expensive' ranges look the part but are still good on the pocket, unlike the fancy ranges of other supermarkets.

juju3 · 08/09/2017 20:32

Fresh lascagne - lovely and creamy and meaty rather than swamped with tomatoes like most english versions - so much more genuine

Sleavercole123 · 08/09/2017 20:34

Their shower gel is excellent value for money

We love the bakery section. Plus we had one of the inflatable pizza slices and donuts on holiday with us which were great. I've heard the gin is good but not tried yet.

letmepeeinpeace · 08/09/2017 20:42

Handwash soap and shower gel!! Love the smell. The fresh bakery is delicious. The baked beans are lovely, a big hit with my family. I wanna go to lidl now!

CopperPan · 08/09/2017 20:45

I love their Peanut Choco bars and the goat's cheese and tomato foccacia! A lot of the clothing from the middle aisle is great too, especially the fitness gear.

helly27 · 08/09/2017 20:47

I like their spicy chorizo over any other brand

GetSchwifty · 08/09/2017 20:48

Most recently I was really pleased to get some swim nappies, such good value.
And last Christmas they did a lovely non alcoholic mulled wine, it was a bargain!

muddledsheep · 08/09/2017 20:58

Fitness gear is great and my youngest loves the snack cucumbers. I adored the no longer stocked almond croissants and the chocolate is fab too!

alsproject · 08/09/2017 20:58

We absolutely love the small tubs of crunchy peanut butter. A great bargain and tastes fantastic

HelenSw4les · 08/09/2017 21:35

We shop weekly at Lidl and there's certain go to items that always fill our basket. Cheese coleslaw and Valley Spire cheese are always on our shopping list, they're delicious. We also love their ready meal curry (I'm a Korma kind of girl, my husband is more of a Tikka Masala kind of guy) but they're all delicious. I don't know where we'd be without the lovely things on offer at Lidl.

MSHGW · 08/09/2017 21:45

Lidl do the best hiking socks!

LeeR1985 · 08/09/2017 21:50

I found lidl's white chocolate buttons were fantastic, they taste as good as milky bar buttons in my opinion

pfcpompeysarah · 08/09/2017 21:53

Since not having my car I haven't been to Lidl as much as I would like, but its probably for the good of my bank balance because I can come out of there with lots of crisps, nuts and chocolate!! I would say the best things in there are the shampoos, conditioners and shower gels by Cien, they last absolutely ages and lather really well, oh and I am a sucker for a jar of the pickled cornichons, they are so moreish, and healthy to boot, win win!

pmama · 08/09/2017 22:04

I love the cherries in jar - very yummy with porridge

Funkyferret · 08/09/2017 22:08

Formil Colour Liquid Tablets, and the fabric conditioner. As good as anything else on the market for everyday laundry.

Rents · 08/09/2017 22:15

I love the Lidil potato gratin, only 89p!! Aldi do a version as well but it is nowhere near as nice as the Lidl one. Also salted caramel ice cream cones-but they are rare.

Another favourite is the plain Greek yogurt multi-packs. Lidl is the only place I have ever found them. Ohhhhhh and their cornichons are the best too.

I was in Lidil today and purchased some baby tights, joggers and tops. All organic cotton and VERY good quality. Especially the tights which were two for £3 and lovely and thick.
