We know many Mumsnetters swear by their Lidl finds - both everyday items and more unusual ones.

We’d love for you to share the gems you’ve discovered there with the rest of MN. Maybe you’re crazy about their chocolate, love their laundry liquid or prize their peppers? Perhaps you stumbled upon an item once that you now always pop in the basket. We all know what treasures are to be found on the middle aisle of wonder - what’s the best thing you’ve ever picked up there?

Please post them on this thread and you will be entered into a prize draw where one winner will get £100 worth of Lidl vouchers (note the winner will be sent 4 x £25 vouchers, one voucher can be redeemed per transaction).

Thanks and good luck

Padron peppers, really tasty and well cheap

lalalauren416 · 09/09/2017 12:14

The Lidl vanilla cheesecake is amazing and tastes better than any I've tried

Bungleboggs · 09/09/2017 12:25

The bakery jam donuts!!! Mmmmmm

I'm a keen Lidler and have been since they opened in the UK. My German grandparents used to bring German food back from their holidays in their house in Bavaria. Consequently I have very strong attachments to the Christmas range, in partiucular. All the lovely traditional goodies take me straight back to my childhood.
The croissants are unbelievably good as are the fruit and veg.
But the best thing I picked up in Lidl was my best friend Grin. I was new to the area, she was on the checkout and was friendly and five years later she is the person who I I know will always be there for me. When DP died she practically moved in with me for those first awful weeks.
So it's amazing what you can find in Lidl!

At Christmas - Stollen & their Pannetone, both amazing!
Generally their nappies are great and their extra thick cookie biscuits with a chocolate top and chocolate chips, can't remember the exact name but they are so nice.

Formil washing powder - by far the best value available.
Individual natural Greek yogurts.

GinevraFanshawe · 09/09/2017 12:47

SNACK CUCUMBERS I absolutely love them!

Roseformeplease · 09/09/2017 13:06

Lidl is absolutely the best place for really fresh, lasts for ages, fruit and veg. Everything is much cheaper but also seems to last longer.

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/09/2017 14:05

I love the pitta breads, not many ingredients & they taste home made.

I love the halva too but if I buy it I eat the whole block in one sitting 🐷

Marg2k8 · 09/09/2017 14:46

I like Lidl's fresh fruit and veg - you get some great bargains.

ErinSophia · 09/09/2017 15:27

Lidl's nappies are amazing and a very reasonable price, always stock up on them when I go never had any leaky nappies!

PoppyPopcorn · 09/09/2017 15:29

so many things - the frozen Calamari, the Spanish turron, serrano and parma ham, Prosecco and cheeses excellent too.

Summergarden · 09/09/2017 15:33

The fresh flowers are great quality and amazing value, I can afford to buy them every other week at the low price.

Valentine2 · 09/09/2017 15:33

I love the weekly offers as I have managed to get a lot of very good quality kitchen utensils from there.
My most favourite find is a multi pizza stand for oven. It is very useful and I use it for all sorts of things. It can hold pizzas for whole family, can roast vegetables in multiple layers with different spices and in one go, can bake so many different things.
I love your weekly offers Lidl. Please don't keep increasing your prices so much.

Teddygirlonce · 09/09/2017 16:29

Their chorizo is a steal - it was on special offer t'other day for 89p. Coffee and pains-au-chocolat are first-rate and cheaper than 'normal' supermarkets.

Kennylou12 · 09/09/2017 17:05

I love so much in Lidl, but I always buy a pack of their salami for my sandwiches for work. A pack lasts me all week and is a low cost lunch option.

tshirtsuntan · 09/09/2017 17:09

I currently have a glass of Bordeaux red wine on the go, bought this morning for £2.99 and bloody lovely! Cheers..

purplepandas · 09/09/2017 17:12

Cheese twists in the bakery section. My children love them!

FlopIsMyParentingGuru · 09/09/2017 17:13

Bavarian Ham
Though I swear it evaporates as a result of the speed it disappears as soon as a pack is opened!

TefalTester123 · 09/09/2017 17:27

I still have one bottle of Trockenbeerenauslese from Pfalz that I bought last Christmas (try saying that after a couple of glasses). A German desert wine that went down fantastically well with my German Language class. Please can we have more this Christmas? I need to restock.

Toyboysrus · 09/09/2017 17:38

Cuppa soups! 49p for 4! The chicken and veg one is lovely, i have one every day at work as i don't have a lunch break and it's quick and easy to have at my desk and surprisingly filling.

AnonymousTomato · 09/09/2017 17:43

Fruit museli in a green pack is the best!

Auntiedahlia · 09/09/2017 17:57

Anything from the bakery really, but especially the cinnamon buns

spottypjs · 09/09/2017 18:01

I love Lidl! I love the chocolate, the rose wine and the cider.

freefan · 09/09/2017 18:08

Their Breakfast biscuits are so tasty especially the Sondey Envitas Strawberry, Blackberry and Yoghurt ones,
Perfect way to start the day
