Watching a film can be a great way to spend time together as a family over the Great British summer, and Sky Cinema would like to hear about the family films you’re looking forward to watching or would recommend.

Here’s what Sky Cinema has to say: “With Sky Cinema, it’s easy to find something to watch this summer. We’ve got the biggest family blockbusters from 2016 available on demand, from The Secret Life of Pets and Jungle Book to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them”.

Take a look at the Ten biggest blockbusters from 2016 and all of the family films available with Sky Cinema. Let us know about the ones you’ve watched as a family (and what you thought) and sharing those that you’re looking forward to watching with your children and why.

So, whether your family summer film watching is on rainy days or during a relaxing evening in, share your favourites and those you’re looking forward to below to be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 John Lewis voucher.

Thanks and good luck!

We really enjoyed Moana and are looking forward to watching Jungle Book.

Annieg1234 · 06/08/2017 21:13

Our favourites are Secret life of pets and fantastical beasts and where to find them, perfect for rainy days

seeingdouble2 · 06/08/2017 21:28

The new Beauty and the Beast. I loved the classic and very happy with the remake! We all love the songs and our fave is "Tale as old as time"
We love a family get together to watch a family film once a week.

PenguinsCantFly · 06/08/2017 21:46

My DS was very excited when Moana popped up! I haven't seen it yet either so we're looking forward to a rainy evening when we can grab the popcorn and enjoy it together Smile

spottypjs · 06/08/2017 22:18

Fantastic Beasts was excellent and Finding Dory was good but not as good as Finding Nemo

mamof3boys · 06/08/2017 22:39

We've seen all of the 2016 blockbusters except for Finding Dory and The Jungle Book. I'm sure we'll watch them soon.

I'm looking forward to watching The Secret Life of Pets. It looks so funny.

pinkjjf27 · 06/08/2017 23:58

I watched Bridget Jones's Baby I had heard bad reviews about it but I really enjoyed it it was funny and silly but very easy to watch. The kids love jungle book and that tends to be one they watch while I get on with dinner. I was a little disappointed by finding Dory but the 2 youngest loved it and watch it over and over .... My partner and older son loved suicide squad and I have to say I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. The secret life of pets has been a big hit and we watched storks last night the kids seem to love it but I couldn't get into it probably because I know where babies come from and its a dam sight harder than the movie makes it look. Their favourite at the moment is Moana. Next week they looking forward to boss baby and Trolls . Thank goodness for sky movies.

We are just back from holiday to find Moana - really looking forward to that. Also watching some old favourites like Beauty and the Beast and Hotel Transylvania.

I also enjoyed the new Bridget Jones film when I had a rare night to myself!

I Wanna Be Like You oooh ooooh! It has to be Jungle Book, we saw this at the cinema and my DC loved it, the songs, the characters (slightly darker - but bringing nicely up to date than the Disney original). I love how Mowgli interacts with the different characters on the movie. The serpentine seductress Kaa is a wonderful character, again brought up to date from the all male cast of the original ! Well done Pixar. We will certainly be getting the popcorn by the 'bucketful' for watching this on repeat this summer.

BrieAndChilli · 07/08/2017 07:59

Mine (10, 9 and 6) have been having a retro holiday, so far they've watched Ghostbusters ( the original ) and the back to the future trilogy!

emmmaaa26 · 07/08/2017 08:01

Sunday evenings are our film time, we love all the disney movies.

sootyo · 07/08/2017 08:28

Moana definite hit here

MTBMummy · 07/08/2017 08:38

We (DP and I) have seen most of the top 10 blockbusters, but as DC's are 3 & 7 they've only really seen the Disney ones.

Secret life of pets is requested on almost a daily basis, it's rare that both DC's agree on a movie to watch.

Really looking forward to watching Storks and Trolls these holidays

sjl19 · 07/08/2017 09:06

We have loved watching Moana and The Secret Life of Pets. We haven't watched Storks yet so that is one to look forward to.

lucyrobinson · 07/08/2017 09:07

We love sky cinema. We have watched loads. Love The Secret life of pets. Such a good family movie. We have also caught up with Moana. We tend to put the movies on the tv instead of the children's cartoons. Lovely knowing the kiddies can catch up on a movie if we miss it at the cinema. Next up to watch is Petes Dragon and storks. We did treat ourselves to Boss Baby too. A few pound more than you could buy in store but It goes straight on the planner and the DVD comes in the post. Highly recommend.

angeleyes2022 · 07/08/2017 09:24

My two children (and us!) we're thrilled to see the selection of great kids movies on this month - especially with it being the school holidays. Moana and The Secret Life Of Pets have been our family favourites so far 😊

We love a film night on a Friday, so this week we will be watching Fantastic Beasts! I've heard so many great reviews.

Our DD absolutely loves Trolls and DS loves Boss Baby! Xx

finleypop · 07/08/2017 10:23

We haven't seen any of the top 10 movies, but we must make time to see Finding Dory as we loved Finding Nemo.

Keep on swimming!

mollymoo818 · 07/08/2017 10:59

Moana is the favourite film in our house at the minute for both the kids and the adults.

devito92 · 07/08/2017 11:34

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story love watching this with my son and telling him how the story develops

angiehoggett · 07/08/2017 12:12

The Lego movies are a fave in our household

lhlee62 · 07/08/2017 12:17

I loved Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them in the cinema and I can't wait to watch it again with my 5 yr old. I can't wait to watch Moana again, my daughters love the songs as we have the soundtrack in the car.

FuckingHateRats · 07/08/2017 13:18

We love Moana and Captain America civil war. The whole family are guaranteed to sit still and watch!

sofieellis · 07/08/2017 13:26

We've watched Fantastic beasts and where to find them and Bridget Jones's Baby. We were a bit nervous about Fantastic Beasts, as we are all huge Harry Potter fans and were worried this may spoil Harry Potter for us. It was completely the opposite though, it's an amazing prequel and we now can't wait for the next one.

Bridget Jones is, as always, brilliantly funny and despite living in a house full of boys and men (except for me), we all love these movies.

Blahblahblueblee · 07/08/2017 14:21

As a family the favourite film this summer has been moana and Mulan. My girls have been watching them again and again and singing the songs.

alsproject · 07/08/2017 14:42

We absolutely loved Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them as we a big Harry Potter fans in the household
