Over the past few wintry months you'd be forgiven for feeling like the icy starts and shorter days were never going to end. However, now that the days are drawing out and it’s light into the evenings, it’s great to be able to start spending more time outdoors, getting some fresh air. Arla Big Milk would like to hear about your plans to spend more time outside and ensure your children get the fresh air they need and some much-needed Vitamin D, now that spring is here.

Here’s what Arla Big Milk have to say: “We know it's important your little ones get the nutrients they need to fuel their amazing growth and development. Arla Big Milk is fresh cow's milk enriched with Vitamin D, A and Iron so you can be sure they are getting what they need when consumed as part of a balanced diet.”

Maybe you’re looking forward to getting the barbecue out without there being a downpour. Or you might be planning longer family walks with your dog or perhaps you’re looking forward to spending time in the park so your toddler can use up their excess energy? If you expect resistance from the kids, what might be your cunning plans be to persuade them to join you outdoors? Share your plans for being out in the fresh air with Arla Big Milk below to be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 voucher.

Thanks, and good luck!

I'll be taking my 18 month old Grandson to see some baby lambs today (after buying him some wellies !) - he will love to see them frolicking, and probably try to copy them by jumping up and down and running !

WE go for a long walk every night, which not only tires them and me out but they love the adventure and we all sleep brilliantly. At weekends we normally do family rounders and outside games.

We love to go on long walks, go to the park and feed the ducks. My kids love it and always ask to go out. In the summer we go out in the evening to tire them out before bed :)

melaspurt · 06/04/2017 09:54

We plan to go to the beach and parks as much as possible and have picnics and play rounders.

juju3 · 06/04/2017 09:58

like to take the kids to the coast and enjoy ewatching the waves and paddling if not too cold

We love the great outdoors no matter the weather; as soon as the weekends come we are off in the car for a magical mystery tour with the tents & kayak. We have holidays booked for the Scottish highlands & the isle of Skye...my 3 boys love being outside even if it is just drawing in the garden

It has to be fun, so day trips, activities, going to the park, forest, beach, etc, maybe with a small treat as an incentive!

BigMxx · 06/04/2017 10:51

I've taken up a 365 project (taking a different photo per day) it takes me and my daughters out and about to lots of different places 😊

DS3 has exams coming up soon, so I intend to try to get him out for walks with the dog, in order to get him some fresh air and break up study periods. Hopefully he'll feel healthier and less stressed.

We plan to do lots of gardening and car washing. Killing two birds with one stone there - fun outdoor time for the toddler, getting jobs done for us!

angelacringle · 06/04/2017 12:30

We love to go for a walk in the woods. Then we have a drink in the cafe

nicdanuk · 06/04/2017 13:06

we always try to get down the woods or down the beach at least twice a week, come rain or shine!!

Signoritawhocansway · 06/04/2017 13:32

We have purchased a season ticket for parking at our country park. It means we save money because we can go at least once a week, with the buggy and balance bike. We can also feed the birds, and there's an ice cream shop... well, ice cream is milk, right?!

jphowden89 · 06/04/2017 14:03

Got a family bike ride planned every weekend as long as the weather stays good. Just need to make sure my bike hasn't rusted away in the garage first.

46lena · 06/04/2017 14:33

There is many parks around our home. Very often we going there on the play ground or play the, ride the bike, scooter. We love to spend time outside!

I bought some outdoor toys at the end of the summer last year and put them away. Was so fed up of the kids sitting inside on iPads ect last year that I'm determined this year to get them even if it's only in the garden I'm hoping that all these new outdoor toys will entice them a little 😀

Ohwoolballs · 06/04/2017 15:41

I'm so happy it's spring! Winter seemed to last forever. Our son has just turned one and we have got one of those trikes with a handle so we have already planned sarnies and a thermos of tea with a long walk and picnic at the park. Money is tight at the mo so the cheaper we can do the better!

karen54 · 06/04/2017 16:32

It's quite easy for us,my grandchildren are never keen on going out for a walk but mention we'll take the dogs and you can't contain them.Even this sometimes fail so we rack it up a gear and take the dogs and grandchildren to the beach,no problem there then.Three wet sandy dogs and three red cheeked sandy, wet children, great fun !

Petalrose67 · 06/04/2017 16:38

We are lucky as live next door to Bushy Park which has deer, cafe, woodland gardens, lake, large sand pit and next to Hampton Court with the river, palace and maze so perfect in all seasons

TRIP TO AUSTRIA

rocketriffs · 06/04/2017 18:21

Get all our bikes out of the garage, check tyres, brakes, gears etc, oil the moving parts and get them ready for the sunny cycling weather.

charrlieb92 · 06/04/2017 18:40

We go for lovely long walks up Crickley Hill, Gloucestershire! It's not too far from our house & there are lots of different walks you can take. The views are breathtaking & we stop right at the top for a picnic with an amazing view right in front of us! Makes the achey legs completely worth it!

Jillf1968 · 06/04/2017 18:47
