Over the past few wintry months you'd be forgiven for feeling like the icy starts and shorter days were never going to end. However, now that the days are drawing out and it’s light into the evenings, it’s great to be able to start spending more time outdoors, getting some fresh air. Arla Big Milk would like to hear about your plans to spend more time outside and ensure your children get the fresh air they need and some much-needed Vitamin D, now that spring is here.

Here’s what Arla Big Milk have to say: “We know it's important your little ones get the nutrients they need to fuel their amazing growth and development. Arla Big Milk is fresh cow's milk enriched with Vitamin D, A and Iron so you can be sure they are getting what they need when consumed as part of a balanced diet.”

Maybe you’re looking forward to getting the barbecue out without there being a downpour. Or you might be planning longer family walks with your dog or perhaps you’re looking forward to spending time in the park so your toddler can use up their excess energy? If you expect resistance from the kids, what might be your cunning plans be to persuade them to join you outdoors? Share your plans for being out in the fresh air with Arla Big Milk below to be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 voucher.

Thanks, and good luck!

My Great Niece loves playing in her GG & Grandpa's garden even in the colder weather but when it's warmer she loves to help the gardener's, she even has her own little gardening bag with her own tools

I'm looking forward to walks in the park with a kite and spending some family time together. We struggled to do these things in Winter so Summer is definitely a favourite in our household!

We like to go on a bear hunt just like in the book. We look for ways to create all the sounds like swishy swashy etc. We also like going on gruffalo hunts and there are fab gruffalo trails around now

We're taking them camping to a place with NO Wi-Fi and very limited tablet charging facilities!

My DS needs no persuading, he loves being outside in all weathers. I just make sure he has appropriate clothing and footwear on (he'd be out in the snow in shorts and t shirt if he had his way).

To eat out in the fresh air as much as possible, especially lunchtime.

Limiting the amount of screen time helps make the great outdoors a more attractive option

Here the biggest help has been a couple of other families moving onto our road so there's other dcs to play out with, they are out right now on bikes and scooters.

Days out walking the dogs 🐶in the hills is what I like to do when the weather gets warmer and of course sitting in the back garden music on having a few glasses of wine 🍷

We've created an area in our garden solely for our DC with a shed as a summerhouse and her trampoline. It is fenced and gated so is her 'patch' and she is on her trampoline in all weathers for hours! Don't know where she gets the energy, but it's doing her good!

I don't usually have a problem with getting my kids outdoors. They love being outside. We go for walks and picnics in the summer, and spend as much time as we possibly can outside.

I love seeing my children out on their scooters and bikes. We're lucky that where we live is quiet so they can play out in the street after school.

We've bought our little one his first shoes so we can picnic in the park & not worry about him getting soggy socks! We've already broken them in with playground fun, stomping crunchy, fallen leaves & small attempts at walking. We've got more park visits planned & a couple of one night getaways 😊

Our children love being outside. It doesn't even matter on the weather.
We go for bike rides, runs, footbal at the park, visit beaches, castles, stately home, etc.
If persuassion is required (which is very rare) we ask whether they would prefer to tidy their rooms!

I am very lucky to live by some rural hills and lots of woods so its a great reason to grab the dog and go for long hikes and adventures on a sunday afternoon xx

Much prefer mine getting outside to get vitamin D than relying on animal products that come with a bunch of other stuff that isn't so great misses the point but wants people to start looking into dairy for health in more depth Grin

We're planning to plant a living willow den this Spring. Looking forward to getting outside with DS and making a start!

My mum does an amazing all afternoon BBQ with loads of different courses. No one needs encouraging to go out and help with that! Plus she has all the games equipment in her garage!

I have mentioned them on here before but the 'i-spy' books are great - they love getting out the different themed books for wildlife, gardens etc and running around looking for things to tick off.

BBQ's out all year & when it's dry we fire it up regardless of temperature. I can't wait for a trip to the beach & walking along the promenade teaching our little girl to ride her bike.
