With Christmas around the corner, Homebase wants to know all about your festive favourites and the seasonal must-haves you just can’t live without.

Would Christmas without a tree not be Christmas at all? Have your baubles got to be a certain colour to fit in with the rest of the décor? And is there only one style of lighting you could ever have in your home?

Whatever’s essential to you this Christmas, visit homebase.co.uk and post a link below to the products you just can’t live without - and tell us why.

So for a chance to win a £300 Homebase voucher, simply take the survey and add a comment below.

Thanks and good luck,

I love the larger decorations, I would like something like this lit reindeer for the garden to light up the dark evenings.

I love my Xmas tree. It's 30 years old......lasted well.

Hygellig · 24/11/2016 17:55

Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without some nice baubles like these for the tree:

It's not glamorous, but I could not be without a big table for Christmas dinner with all of my most favourite people. We will be needing a high chair this year too, as the eldest of our 4 gorgeous daughters had a daughter of her own this year!

wingingit2 · 24/11/2016 18:00

Cellotape and bows for the endless wrapping of gifts, I like to make them look pretty!

We love to decorate our garden every year to impress the neighbours!
My Dcs totally love them and help us put them up.

RockingDuck · 24/11/2016 18:10

I have all the old family decorations for the tree, it reminds me so much of all the houses we've been in and there are ones from the 1970s and earlier from my grandma, ones inherited from my mum, and the ones I've bought to represent each of my three children. My tree is always a chockablock rainbow riot of colour and sparkle and it makes christmas special. Now we pick one special new decoration each year, and it grows like the kids do Star

RockingDuck · 24/11/2016 18:13

These could be a contender for this year's new thing:

word lights

annarack99 · 24/11/2016 18:16

The tree. It's the focal point of the room in the lead up to Christmas. Presents are gathered underneath it, the lights are on during dark days and nights. I dislike Christmas cards clutter but love having the tree up no matter how haphazardly it's decorated!

Leatherboundanddown · 24/11/2016 18:19

I like simple cool white fairy lights the more the better.

Secondly, there is no beating a real Christmas tree!

BabyLinthwaite · 24/11/2016 18:20

Mine would have to be my Christmas themed mugs and snack pots. I love them. It's something that makes our drinks and food feel festive

I love Xmas lights and to me it would not be the same if during the build up once my decorations are up in couldn't sit in the dark with my cup of tea and Xmas lights

babynugget · 24/11/2016 18:26

I spend hours on my tree and have a beautiful snow ripped artificial one with teal, silver and white decorations. I get loads of compliments on it but the one item that must go on despite not matching the carefully coordinates colour scheme are a pair of wooden Santa and Mrs Claus ornaments (bright red) that I got from my grandma. They have been in every tree I've had since I was a little girl.

daisybeebee · 24/11/2016 18:29

Christmas starts for me with the smell of pine needles, a real tree is an absolute must

I also have to have the biggest Poinsettia I can find, it's THE Christmas plant for me

A nice bauble for the Christmas tree. I get a special new one every year and it always brings back good memories as we unpack them.

Christmas wouldn't be the same without a big beautiful Christmas tree! Our kitten kept climbing our Christmas tree last year so it needs to be replaced this year Grin

hunhun007 · 24/11/2016 19:10

it must be a real tree! As lovely as "fake" trees can be they simply aren't the same. The smell of real tree makes Xmass for me... and some apple pie!
