With Christmas around the corner, Homebase wants to know all about your festive favourites and the seasonal must-haves you just can’t live without.

Would Christmas without a tree not be Christmas at all? Have your baubles got to be a certain colour to fit in with the rest of the décor? And is there only one style of lighting you could ever have in your home?

Whatever’s essential to you this Christmas, visit homebase.co.uk and post a link below to the products you just can’t live without - and tell us why.

So for a chance to win a £300 Homebase voucher, simply take the survey and add a comment below.

Thanks and good luck,

I have a couple of initial Christmas decorations that I bought whenever I first moved into my new house - at first I had just a P (for Pumpkin my dog) and a C for my name. A couple of years later I got an M for my partner. This year we shall be putting up a new tree in a new house with an extra P for Pippa, our 9 month old daughter

Yes I know it's bad but thing I could not be without is my Sellotape. I buy loads of it at Christmas to get through wrapping presents handing cards and decorations.

A little Christmas craft with the kids always gets us in a festive mood. Beautiful handmade items to hand on the tree always make Christmas just that little bit more special and personal x

We cant live without a fresh new big TV blanket..its our house ' treat' we normally get a lovely one form Costco every year around this time. Perfect for family snuggles on the sofa, watching films and keeping us all warm. I also cant live without the slow cooker... we use it so much this time of year and its fab for cooking lovely warm hearty one pot meals or joints of meat though the day so you can just relax and wait for it :-)

I can never have too many Christmas lights

ginauk84 · 24/11/2016 16:56

The tree but surely that is always there. Regarding anything else it would have to be mulled wine! Mmmmm

cuddles159 · 24/11/2016 16:57

mince pies just love them

TracyKNixon · 24/11/2016 16:57

A wreath to welcome my guests before they have even entered my home! www.homebase.co.uk/en/homebaseuk/berries-and-pinecone-christmas-wreath-370269 and a garland to hang over our fireplace to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere in our home! www.homebase.co.uk/en/homebaseuk/pre-lit-pine%2C-cones-and-berries-garland-369834

JustJogginJunkie · 24/11/2016 17:05

I can't get by without lots of fairy lights and sticky tape!

lorka · 24/11/2016 17:06

I love the twinkling lights - makes the home feel really Christmassy once they are on. Smile

GodReastieMerryGentlemen · 24/11/2016 17:12

Very dull but it's got to be sellotape . I've got through so much already that and body weight of mince pies and mini stollen

truetops · 24/11/2016 17:16

I could get through Christmas without a real Christmas tree. I love the scent of the pine in the house and going to choose one with the kids. The worst part is getting rid of it in the New Year. Homebase could offer a shredding services and the bark could be taken back home and placed on the garden as mulch!

I absolutely love seeing Christmassy wintry garlands on my mantelpiece, and weaving up the stair banister. It looks so traditional and homely and makes me smile when I come in.

Oops I meant "I couldn't get through Christmas without a real tree"!

My favourite part of xmas is being woken early by my very excited kids jumping on our bed with their stockings, I love watching their faces light up while digging for surprises Grin

piggypoo · 24/11/2016 17:19

Christmas lights, and plenty of spare ones! I always have lights which end up popping or not working, so I have reserves on hand, there are never enough in the house, I like the house to sparkle!

Tonkatol · 24/11/2016 17:24

As a family, we all enjoy Christmas, with a decorated tree, Christmas lights, plenty of food, good company etc. However, we are also Christians and, as the whole celebration is based around the birth of Jesus, we always have a nativity scene on our mantlepiece. We have a carved, wooden nativity scene, but this one also looks really nice www.homebase.co.uk/en/homebaseuk/porcelain-nativity-scene-380976

pennwood · 24/11/2016 17:30

Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without the nativity scene my Mum made when I was little, & it has been displayed every year since so has become a tradition.

MotherOfCats · 24/11/2016 17:31

It wouldn't be Christmas without fairy lights! They make everything look festive and magical without costing much

This screwdriver - saves so much effort and sore hands when you're putting together Christmas presents. Also an ideal present for anyone who hasn't got one.

BeyondTheHarpy · 24/11/2016 17:32

Paper snowflakes. Even as a thirty-something grown up, I still love to make them and it frustrates me when the kids do it wrong!

Warm white fairy lights. Hundreds of them, all over bith if my christmas trees.

Quills · 24/11/2016 17:36

I really like the 'Nordic Shelter' look on the Homebase website, very similar to the look we're going for this year.

Lots of stars are essential for us, just like these.
