With Christmas around the corner, Homebase wants to know all about your festive favourites and the seasonal must-haves you just can’t live without.

Would Christmas without a tree not be Christmas at all? Have your baubles got to be a certain colour to fit in with the rest of the décor? And is there only one style of lighting you could ever have in your home?

Whatever’s essential to you this Christmas, visit homebase.co.uk and post a link below to the products you just can’t live without - and tell us why.

So for a chance to win a £300 Homebase voucher, simply take the survey and add a comment below.

Thanks and good luck,

Real tree. It's the smell.

Nothing shouts "It's Christmaaaaaas" like a poinsettia

Without a second thought, it's my buffet Warmer, it has revolutionised the time I spend in the kitchen by not having to have all the food ready at a certain time, being able to keep veg and sausages, bacon rolls etc warm whilst other things are still cooking is a godsend. Less stress, happy mummy. Oh, and Buck's Fizz breakfast!!

kayleighp85 · 24/11/2016 16:39

Christmas wouldn't be the same without a winter scene with cute models or teddies of reindeers, penquins, robins or elves. I put fluffy snow on the hearth of the fire and make up a winter scene. This Penquin would be ideal to join our Fireside Family Star Smile

We much prefer reusable advent calendars as we can fill with suitable small items that the kids love. Much better than cheap chocolate ones. They look lovely too. Well worth the initial expense.

Dimplex Mansfield Opti-myst Electric Inset Fire - 2kW

www.homebase.co.uk/en/homebaseuk/dimplex-mansfield-opti-myst-electric-inset-fire---2kw-290703

This is just so 'homely' - nostalgic, classic, will keep you warm through those winter days and nights. Great if you have a traditional fireplace (which we do), but this inset fire heater is thin enough to have installed against a flat wall and a simple surrounding mantle piece section built around it.

I was going to say a poinsettia www.homebase.co.uk/en/homebaseuk/christmas-shop/christmas-house-plants/christmas-house-plants/poinsettia---13cm-199511 which I treat myself to every year.

BUT Christmas just wouldn't be right without tinsel! I just love the feel and smell (and have been known just to stick my face into a tinsel display and sniff....), it's got to be the thick fluffy stuff, preferably in traditional gold/red/green or silver.

Fizz. No celebration is complete without cava, prosecco or champagne. Any will do, I'm not fussy!

Got to be the tree. I'm a faker allthe way.

clam77 · 24/11/2016 16:42

It has to be a real Christmas tree, with that wonderful smell, sitting in the corner decorated in the wild berry theme.

Lots of warm white christmas lights. Nothing quite like the twinkle of lights on the houses and trees to make you feel cosy and festive.

AngelwingsPetlamb · 24/11/2016 16:47

When the season changes and the days get short and dark, I love extra twinkly lights - indoors and outdoors. They make the home feel cosy and welcoming and outdoors they make me feel safer, and they look pretty too. I like these white sets from Homebase because they are good value for money and they can be placed indoors or outdoors.
