Lots of sleep & always lots of oil on the face (in addition to moisturiser), coconut or rosehip or almond Smile

billybear · 03/04/2016 12:44

drink plenty of water, try and get a good nights sleep, eat lots of fruit and veg

Gazelda · 03/04/2016 12:45

Plenty of sleep. Drink lots of water through the day. Make sure you remove eye make up before bed.

NorbertDentressangle · 03/04/2016 13:10

Lots of fresh air and exercise during the day and a good nights sleep.

I swear I look brighter-eyed after a day by the sea involving a long walk .

Also drinking lots of water and minimal caffeine/alcohol.

bouquetdiva · 03/04/2016 13:46

My best remedy is to eat plenty of iron rich vegetables, such as spinach and kale, drink plenty of water and finish my cleansing routine by sweeping Liz Earle Eyebright across my eyelids. It really does the job

Fizzyboo · 03/04/2016 15:03

Early night, lots of water and the classic cucumber on the eyes!

sharond101 · 03/04/2016 16:42

Sleep and water and more water and even more water. And moisturise of course, and drink more water.

JaneHair · 03/04/2016 17:13

Fresh air, lots of water, and make sure you take off all your make up before bed - I use Liz Earle's hot cloth cleanser - this definitely makes a big difference to how bright eyed I look in the morning.

ThenLaterWhenItGotDark · 03/04/2016 17:55

Hot cloth cleansing, sleeping on a fairly high pillow and not face down, lots of fruit and veg, lots of water, lots of sleep.

Have yet to find an eye product that makes any difference.

firsttimemum15 · 03/04/2016 18:39

Use a good micellar water and steam your face in the shower. Also get a good night's sleep. Failing that, plenty of good quality concealer Wink

I have no idea....I desperately need to look after my skin better. My eldest son has special needs so I wake up when he wakes up and go to bed when he doesn't need me any longer for the day. He's now getting older and more independent so I'm starting to get some 'me time' back. I'm using this thread for ideas and tips!

WaxyBean · 03/04/2016 19:35

Send the children to the grandparents = no disturbances

Legofriend · 03/04/2016 19:50

A wonderful husband who gets up if our son wakes because he can go straight back to sleep unlike me.

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 03/04/2016 20:02

Lots of sleep. A good naural source multivitamin supplement. Plenty of water. Spending time to think about the good things in life. Nothing is more beautiful than a woman who is full of joy .

greencarbluecar · 03/04/2016 20:41

I hold a hot flannel on top of closed eyelids to wake them up when they feel tired and dry, really helps.

BellaVida · 03/04/2016 20:50
  • Avoid alcohol or stimulants e.g caffeine
  • Remove all make up
  • Avoid smoke or other 'charged' atmospheres such as swimming pools.
  • Don't use screens before bed or have high contrasts of bright light reading in a dark room.
  • Get a good 7-8 hours solid sleep.
  • Bribe children to stay in bed until morning or better still get a babysitter and go away for the night!
Kriek · 03/04/2016 21:06

My biggest tips for bright eyes is to drink lots of water, do not drink alcohol, remove all makeup, wear sunglasses, and get a good nights sleep. Using a silk pillowcase generally keeps skin wrinkle free. I have also been known to take Milk Thistle as a supplement to cleanse the liver. This seems to clear up my eyes also. I really should heed my own advice. Grin

JurgenKlopp · 03/04/2016 21:10
  • Remove all make up as soon as you're home
  • Apply a good serum
  • Apply eye cream
  • Water by the side of bed
  • No TV or iPad in the dark
  • Sensitive eye mist for gritty morning eyes
georgedawes · 03/04/2016 21:18

I sleep with an eye mask on as any light keeps me awake. Not having small children also helps but not much you can do about that one!!!!

cather · 03/04/2016 21:23

Drink plenty of water and invest in a good eye cream and use it morning and night.

dangerrabbit · 03/04/2016 21:47

Wash with a clean flannel and stay indoors.

red333 · 03/04/2016 22:03

Put two teaspoons in the fridge and put them on your eyes first thing in the morning. Lovely and fresh.

Swex · 03/04/2016 23:07

I'm a bit evangelical a the moment. Had my first comment about clearer skin and brighter eyes. I've massively increased vegetable intake including lots of avocado and more nuts and seeds. Lots of lemon and ginger tea. Lots less wheat! (Never thought I would say that last one!) and I religiously use a facial oil and eye cream now. It's a noticeable improvement and I'm really pleased. My eyes are less puffy and dull.

louise2011 · 03/04/2016 23:27

Take off make up!
No booze! Red, dry eyes if I ever lucky enough to get pissed these days & forget both

Theonlyweighisdown · 04/04/2016 06:58

I keep my eyebright in the fridge so it's extra cold when I use it. Aim for a full 8 hours uninterrupted sleep (ha ha) and drink plenty of water.
