We have made it through the wintery months, but we’re not free from drizzly days just yet. It really is a struggle to feel good in the wind and rain, so nice ‘n easy would love you to share the things that you do to make yourself feel at your best.

Here’s what nice ‘n easy have to say: “The beginning of the year is often gloomy, Christmas is long gone and the days are short and dark. But with Spring just around the corner, and sun just a promise away, it’s time to get out and give yourself a lighter, sunkissed look. ‘As we have more sunny days our skin tone warms up and therefore your hair colour needs to adjust to complement it. Going one or two shades lighter softens the darker tones we have often used during the winter. It’s all about having a natural look, as if your hair has been kissed by the Spring sunshine’ says our colour expert colour expert Jonathan Long”

So, is a hot bath with some posh candles just what you need to perk yourself up in the dark winter months? Perhaps you like to learn a new skill or get involved in an evening class? Do you brighten yourself up by changing your hair colour, or by starting a new skin routine to give yourself a glow? Whatever it is that you do to boost your confidence, let nice ‘n easy know.

Please add your comment or tip below and you'll be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 Love2Shop gift voucher.

Put on a fitted suit and heels, it works every time

MAT12 · 07/03/2016 11:57

Add a little make up, do your hair in a different style nothing fancy but just what makes you feel good. add your favourite clothes or maybe a new top and you will already feel brighter

I always feel more confident if my hair is freshly dyed, eyebrows and lip waxed too!

jandoc · 07/03/2016 12:54

putting on some lipstick and blusher works for me

JulesJules · 07/03/2016 12:54

Is this a piss take?

Hair kissed by the spring sunshine?

Less crap like this would help - tying womens confidence into their appearance

Finding something good about myself whenever I see my reflection, it's hard at first but it does get easier

When we look at others we see the positives, when we look at ourself we see the negatives, so it's learning to look at yourself the same way you look at others

each time i have to do something at work that makes me nervous i remember doing it before ..i tell myself nothing went wrong then and nothing will this time. It helps , especially when presenting something

Always have a plausible alibi

bobble5366 · 07/03/2016 15:48

Be kind and generous. You know that being kind to others, and generous with yourself and your time and what you have, is a tremendous way to improve your self-image. You act in accordance with the Golden Rule, and you start to feel good about yourself, and to think that you are a good person. It does wonders for your self-confidence, believe me.

I feel my most confident when I have ticked off my to do list and transferred a few ££s from my current account to my savings account.
Though if this is purely about style & beauty, Shellac nails and bright lipbalm make me feel good.

A new outfit always makes me feel more confident, especially when I find something that fits just right

nerysw · 07/03/2016 20:46

Wearing a favourite piece of clothing and spending time with my friends always makes me feel more confident.

jeminem48 · 07/03/2016 21:05

It sounds silly, but having a nice bath, defuzzing my legs and other bits and pieces, exfoliating and moisturising always make me feel more body confident. It doesn't matter than no one except myself and my fiance gets to see it, it makes me feel 100% more confidentn and attractive.

CremeDeSudo · 07/03/2016 21:19

I get my eyebrows done, wave/curl my hair and wear an outfit I feel good in. A hot bath with a body scrub never goes amiss either!

cookie09 · 07/03/2016 21:23

I always find by going to the gym gives me a confidence boost. It is by far the best way to get that oomph you need at times.

DinosaursRoar · 07/03/2016 21:42

hair sun kissed by spring sunshine? In England? Hmm

Confidence boost of the superficial S&B type - just having made an effort to have full make up and hair done.

buckley1983 · 07/03/2016 21:46

If you can, get a couple of hours (or even a whole day!) to have some time to just be you - whether that's time alone, a day out with the family or just some quality time at home with loved ones. I always enjoy a bit of time to myself - away from work & a brief shirk of responsibility - whether this is when LO has gone to bed - or if OH has taken him out shopping - I enjoy just being able to focus on one task & complete it! :) Listening to a full play on Radio 4 (I am an old lady I know!) or enjoying a bath without having to pluck Octonauts out from under my back! I always feel nice when I've had the time (or summoned up the effort) to exfoliate, moisturise & get snuggled up in clean PJ's with a hot choc - that's when LO jumps up to shre a bedtime story :) I think getting a healthy balance between being Mum/an employee/an individual is the key to feeling good :) x

tangledyarn · 07/03/2016 22:15

Well fitting clothes, shiny hair and a good scrub and moisturiser always make me feel a bit better.

Cailin7 · 07/03/2016 22:43

spending time out walking with our dog revives me and I always feel good after painting my nails

Clairescottshug · 08/03/2016 10:23

I always have a pamper bath once a week where I scrub, face mask and moisturise top to toe, with three children one of which is a newborn once a week is fine and also something to look forward to

Firewall · 08/03/2016 15:27

Going for a morning swim everyday always makes me feel more confident

Mmest75 · 08/03/2016 18:37
