We have made it through the wintery months, but we’re not free from drizzly days just yet. It really is a struggle to feel good in the wind and rain, so nice ‘n easy would love you to share the things that you do to make yourself feel at your best.

Here’s what nice ‘n easy have to say: “The beginning of the year is often gloomy, Christmas is long gone and the days are short and dark. But with Spring just around the corner, and sun just a promise away, it’s time to get out and give yourself a lighter, sunkissed look. ‘As we have more sunny days our skin tone warms up and therefore your hair colour needs to adjust to complement it. Going one or two shades lighter softens the darker tones we have often used during the winter. It’s all about having a natural look, as if your hair has been kissed by the Spring sunshine’ says our colour expert colour expert Jonathan Long”

So, is a hot bath with some posh candles just what you need to perk yourself up in the dark winter months? Perhaps you like to learn a new skill or get involved in an evening class? Do you brighten yourself up by changing your hair colour, or by starting a new skin routine to give yourself a glow? Whatever it is that you do to boost your confidence, let nice ‘n easy know.

Please add your comment or tip below and you'll be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 Love2Shop gift voucher.

Periodically I book myself in for a thermal journey at my local spa, maybe a couple of times a season,it's about the same price as a new top. I know that the experience will make me feel better and more energised than a new top will!
It gives me time to reflect, relax, and renew myself and I come away feeling ready for anything. It's great if I can take some good company with me but not essential.
This is how I feel good inside and out!

If I have something important on like an interview or meeting, I feel better about myself so having had a good sleep, having my skin looking as best it can and hair and make up done, and outfit , jewellery and bag and accessories all ready and organised.

For everyday it always helps if I am wearing something that is flattering but comfortable, hair and make up and nails groomed and a smile -makes me feel a lot more confident. It is all about attitude though I think.

skyeskyeskye · 09/03/2016 12:09

I like to keep my nails painted as it makes me feel better, although I haven't done them for a few weeks now! I also like it when my hair is freshly highlighted at the hairdressers.

Apart from that, dressing so that I feel smart but comfortable is my best tip for confidence. If you are happy with what you are wearing you won't feel confident at all.

I like using make up everyday and to feel more confident I like to buy new products and change colours sometimes.

I also like using body, face scrub under the shower and finish with a moisturiser.

Whataboutnodetox · 09/03/2016 13:09

Keeping my hands soft and nails looking ok really helps my mood. When they are dry and cracked they just make me feel rubbish. By using a decent moisturiser I feel much more confident in every day life.

I like to wear bright coats over the winter period, I always stand out on the tube amongst the blacks and greys. Putting on a red/pink/orange coat before stepping out into the gloom really cheers me up.

shydaylily · 09/03/2016 15:26

some new clothes and hair colour

KIRANKAUR1985 · 09/03/2016 16:32

I love to get my sisters over and we all have a nice little pamper sessions, with snacks, face masks and movies

Liquorice13 · 09/03/2016 20:12

Sounds silly, but a new haircut of wearing make up, new clothes, handbag or shoes always makes me feel more confident, so does lip gloss!

sarahb8708 · 09/03/2016 20:31

I find that having my hair cut and then going home and colouring it and giving myself a manicure always boosts my confidence and makes me feel ready for anything that comes! Xxx

hann24 · 09/03/2016 21:22

Put some nice matching underwear on that makes you feel good about yourself! Even if you have to wear more boring clothes on top for work you'll still feel great on the inside.

Gladyss · 09/03/2016 22:02

A good massage or reflexology help the physical well being We have someone to come to our house which is cheaper and we are able to chill afterwards.

Shinynewbed · 10/03/2016 12:42

I'm not feeling very confident at all at the moment if I am honest. A change in my medicine for my auto immune disease has seen me gain 3 stones in the last year. I also have my charming new accessory of a walking stick.
However I am hoping that my usual start of summer diet, new wardrobe and change of makeup to some brighter colours will do their job! Dreading my upcoming holiday but I shall hold my head high, lippy on, best foot forward and limit the camera this time around! I think all we can do is our best.

Kannet · 10/03/2016 12:44

I always find a hot bath and a face mask mean I sleep well and my skin looks great the following morning

Laflouder · 10/03/2016 13:26

I start to feel like I have more energy as winter turns to spring so it makes me feel good to start exercising more - some yoga in a patch of sunlight (when we have any!) is particularly good for making you feel warm and energised and reminding you that summer is on its way

chrisfc99 · 10/03/2016 14:18

When I need to feel confident I think carefully about the outfit that I will wear and put on a 'shield' of make-up, whilst still looking natural. Then it's a deep breath and stand up straight.

BL0SS0M · 10/03/2016 18:15

Regularly remind yourself of your best qualities. Walk with your back straight and do the wonder woman pose (hands on hips) before an important interview or meeting! : )

UpOnDown · 10/03/2016 19:15

I treat myself with dvds or audiobooks

LostMyBaubles · 10/03/2016 20:20

My boost is having a full face of make up
Long false eyelashes,

killer eyeliner, beautiful blendes eyeshadow
flawless foundation
face full of highlight and a strong contour.

Teamed with either bright red lippie or my sexiest nude lippie.

cant fuck with me when I got a full face of make up 😊 🔥 ✌

WelliesTheyAreWonderful · 10/03/2016 20:56

Giving up chocolate for Lent always makes me feel stronger and confident, and helps me lose a bit of Christmas weight!

Maiyakat · 10/03/2016 21:19

A cup of tea, some mini eggs and a long chat with a good friend

manfalou · 10/03/2016 22:43

I feel more confident when my hairs down (literally!) and a pair of heels are on my feet (In the form go little ankle boots at the minute).

A coffee with a friend and a giggle is always a great perk too

Firstmum24 · 11/03/2016 10:55

When I'm having a rubbish morning, I take the baby into the bathroom with me, have a shower and wash my hair - belting out any songs I want.

The we go through to the bedroom have a cuddle/play on the bed.

Then I either dry my hair or plait it, put on big pants (you know, the big support ones) Coffee and the day is ours to tackle.

Confidence is a shower and big pants, who would have thought it!

emmamed123 · 11/03/2016 15:58

taking time to get yourself ready in the mornings, just putting on some lippy can make you feel good about yourself.

finova · 11/03/2016 18:41

I have a bright yellow handbag which looks lovely and spring like.
Love fizzy water too as a change from tea and coffee.
