Mother’s Day is just around the corner and, to celebrate, Lidl want to know what dish you'd like to be served on a perfect Mothering Sunday. Whether this is a snack, starter, main course, cake or dessert, please share your ideal dish on this thread - then Michelin-starred chef Kevin Love will create recipes using Lidl items for a selection of MNers choices! (In an ideal world your OH or DC would then actually make them for you!)

I love Italian so we would do a lovely Italian. I would do fiery chilli meatballs and pasta, followed by a godfather ice cream!

Homemade Beef Wellington with all the trimmings while the mother sits down and reads a good book with a cup!

My Mum loves my home-made quiche, (Using eggs from our own free-range girlies.) Not bragging, but has anyone ever found a supermarket quiche that comes close to a home-made one?

My Mother's Day dish is Lemon Meringue Pie as my mother is a desertaholic!!

Roast dinner! Pork loin from lidl, mini roast potatoes from lidl, veg and gravy - not cooked by me!

I would like lamb shank with mustard mashed potatoes, yummy

Moroccan lamb in a Shiraz and honey juis, green beans, garlic mash and a glass of Malbec... Yum

We take her out on Mother's day and she loves a dish of fresh trout followed by sticky toffee pudding from her favourite Country Hotel restaurant.

Pancakes!!! For brunch after my nice lie in. I love jam sugar and lemon on my pancakes. Hubby likes Nutella and lemon and 18 month old dd will eat it with anything we give her!
I want traditional pancakes for Mother's Day as a treat. As I usually make oat and banana pancakes to be healthy. Mmm I might have the healthy ones due to holiday in a few weeks!

A steak dinner with fries, grilled mushrooms, peppercorn sauce and the fantastic Lidl rumpsteaks, they are so much better than any others we have tried and for this great value always a weekly treat for us!
