Mother’s Day is just around the corner and, to celebrate, Lidl want to know what dish you'd like to be served on a perfect Mothering Sunday. Whether this is a snack, starter, main course, cake or dessert, please share your ideal dish on this thread - then Michelin-starred chef Kevin Love will create recipes using Lidl items for a selection of MNers choices! (In an ideal world your OH or DC would then actually make them for you!)

Smoked salmon hash all the way! :D
Fry up onions, parboiled new potatoes & strips of smoked salmon - serve with capers & top with a poached egg. Quick, easy, delicious!

Dh offered to cook me anything I wanted. How nice. Not sure, roast leg of lamb with all trimmings? Dh does do a fab roast. We are both reasonable cooks, but I do more, so to be offered is very nice.

Scones with jam and cream. Proper afternoon tea. Mmmmm.

savory mince with loads of fresh veg and a sprinkle of garlic

Side of salmon, lemony crispy potatos, mange tout or green beans. Glass of white wine. Mmmmmm.

A roast dinner with Yorkshire piddings, washed down with red wine

Honeyed goats cheese with figs, followed by venison, finished off with sticky toffee pudding

Coconut shrimps , followed by Roast Beef with all the trimmings, Apple Crumble and Custard to finish the meal off. Making my mouth water just thinking about it.

My favourite is shepherd's pie (or is it cottage pie with beef?). I love the creamy mash topped with crisp toasted cheese and thick beef gravy coating the beef. If it were followed by a Black Forrest gateux then all would be perfect.

Chicken and mushroom pasta bake

i would love a nice bistro salad with a blue cheese dressing, on the side of a pan seared salmon fillet with new potatoes in a lemon butter :)

Serano ham and lots of it!

A roast dinner with all the trimmings would be my meal of choice, as long as I'm not left with all the washing up!

Roast beef with all the trimmings, including Yorkshire Puds, followed by a really good strong coffee.

My ideal mothers day dish is pretty easy and pretty simple...nothing amazing here - eggy bread! I could quite happily eat that all day long on mothers day...as long as someone else is happy to cook it for me I'm happy to eat it! :-)

A massive big antipasti/tapas for everyone to share! We love sharing dishes and Mediterranean cuisine. Bruschetta, salami, parma ham, chorizo, cheese, the barbecued fish, peppers, alioli and of course gambas pil pil. A bit of something for everyone - but hey, it's mother's day so I get the last prawn!

A slow cooked roast lamb dinner with cauliflower cheese, mash potato, carrots & peas. Followed by a chocolate pudding of some kind with custard. Yummy!

My favourite would have to be an irish fry up, with black & white pudding xx

To be honest, my Mother's Day would not be complete without a full Sunday roast! xx

It would have to be a chicken roast dinner with yorshire pudding and gravy, followed by homemade cheesecake. Not very original I know but still my fave!
